But I feel this is my calling, this is my passion, this is my duty, this is my idea, and I look forward to working with every single one of you. Let’s have the best midterm election the Republican Party has had in modern history. With us, RNC co chair Casey Crosby. She is in California. We see you. We hear you, acknowledge you. Let’s go. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome guys. Chill. Amanda. Oh, my goodness. Thank you, Scott. That was so amazing. We appreciate everything that you are doing. So now I have the distinct privilege of introducing our keynote speaker for the night.
She is from the great of Kentucky, and she got started in her political career by running for city council, and she held that seat for three consecutive years. She quickly became known as a leader in our party, standing up for conservative values, most notably fiscal responsibility and government transparency. In 2012, she ran for the Republican National Committee, and she was on the Rules Committee, where she was responsible for making policy at some of the highest levels of our party. Then Justice 2025, with the full support of Donald Trump, she became the co chair of the Republican National Committee.
Hard to be missed, Mike. Today, where it’s supposed to go home. Her skirts for the party. She’s also an accomplished businesswoman. She’s a mom of three, a wife, and a faithful servant at her church. We are so excited to have her here tonight and excited to hear what she has to say about the rnc. And. And I’m finally glad that I’m not the only room in the room with a Southern accent. So in the spirit of the south, all y’ all call me. Welcome to the stage RNC co Chair Casey Crossy. Well, thank you all. First of all, I want to thank Pastor Jurgen because you got the accent thing out of the way, y’ all.
Here I go, y’ all. Y’ all are gonna hear a little twang from me tonight. So when he said, don’t make fun of my accent, I feel the same way. So When I start saying all y’ all, because there are a lot of y’ all here. Just know I’m from the south and from the great state of Kentucky, and I’m so glad that we with the girls. So I want to just take a moment of privilege here. Actually, we have two moments. One at the beginning and one at the very end. I know today is an exciting day.
And no, I’m not talking about the protest that some of you all had to contend with to get here. Obviously, it’s Flag Day, and we are celebrating old Lori and everything that she’s a useful opera. 79th birthday. We also had something kind of devastating happen this morning. Many of you all saw that in Minnesota. There was just a senseless shooting. We lost at least two people there. Two more, I think are incredible. So I just want to take a moment, ask y’ all just to take a brief moment of silence and remember these people who were serving their state, and it was just completely senses what happened.
So y’ all, please join me for just one minute. Thank you. All righty. Thank you all. Alana, that was a great introduction. I really appreciate it. Paula. I go all over the country. I speak to so many different groups. And I can tell you coming here has just been amazing. You know, you dealing with people over. Not everybody’s as organized, as communicative to what you need to be doing. And she has been phenomenal. You all have one of the best county chairs in the entire country, Right? I’ve made a lot of friends today, too. You all made me feel very welcome, and I’m just thrilled to be your Congressman.
I am so happy to be here to you tonight. It’s the first time. So thank you two for coming out. I also want to recognize the California delegation to the rnc. Your chairman, Cory Rankin, is here tonight. She’s brand new. She is. I have to tell you all, she has the hardest job. These chairs, it is not easy. She has lots of different constituents that she has to be accountable to. She has to raise a whole lot of money. She has to keep everybody happy. It is a very difficult job, and she is doing it with such grace.
We are so glad to have her as your state chairman, but also as a member of the rnc. She’s going to be a rock star. We’ve met. She’s already fighting for resources in the state of California. So you all are truly blessed to have her as your new chairman. So thank you for not here tonight. Has been a dear friend of mine for many years, and he’s just if you talk. If you talk to him, when you talk to him, he’ll talk to you forever. And he’s a great. Right. Am I wrong? And he’s just amazing committee man.
He fights hard for the state of California. Obviously, we were very devastated with what happened with Michelle. I can tell you. I was calling him. Scott brought this up. I was calling him a few days after the election. I’m like, this is great. She’s in the lead. Everything looks great. So excited about it. He’s like, you know, Casey, this is. This is. This is bad. And I was like, oh, no, she can win this. We’ve got this. And I couldn’t wrap my mind around how crazy this year that she didn’t go two weeks and lose an election when she’s so far ahead.
And so thank you, Scott, for what you’re doing to help here because frankly, what I saw they needed. So we’re going to be here. And I just appreciate everything Sean’s been doing. Harmony Dillon, some of you all know your former committee woman, Harvey Dillon. She’s a trip very long. I know that sounds naked, but I have to mention her. I mean, as soon as assistant AG and she is just fighting for second amendment rights, keeping boys out of girls sport. She’s taking on election integrity and she is a complete rock star. Thank you, California, for sending her to D.C.
we need more fighters like Harvey Dillard for sure. I want to say that Chairman Walley wanted me to send his regrets that he cannot be here with you all today. Oftentimes we crisscross the country. I think we pass each other at airports and on airplanes. But he’s going to be really sorry he misses crowd because not only is it big, you all are just so nice. But he wanted me to send his regrets and hopefully you all will have him here very soon. So I got a little news today. One of my friends, I said, I’m in San Diego county speaking to the GOP and made Abigail something.
And they were like, oh, did you know you were in a hit piece in the newspaper, which I have found since found out just a couple weeks ago. And it’s. I don’t even know much the name of it, to be honest with you, but it’s some rag that’s evidently like going bankrupt. And it never really bothers me because, you know, part of the game to be attacked wherever you go when you’re the coach of the rmc. But it was. They got some really big names. The hit piece was the San Diego GOP has Had some big names like Rand Paul, one of my senators from Kentucky, former Kentucky governor Matt Bevin.
And I started to think, I’m like, well, maybe the president’s just sending somebody he’s not upset with right now, the big beautiful bill from Kentucky to come speak to you all. And, you know, I was like, that fake news. And I said, you know, this is really an opportunity for me to come and share with you. Well, that was a wonderful introduction, having Scott here and then having someone like me just starting out from grassroots. I’m just a young lady from Kentucky. And I thought, why don’t I tell you a little bit about my story? Because I know that you all are the activists and the people who are out doing the work to get people elected.
And I thought if you were a little bit more about my background, if I put into perspective truly how our work is recognized. And so I’m shuttle enough to say that I got involved in politics because of the cute boy. True story. So when I was at the University of Kentucky, I was lucky enough to be the homecoming queen. That was an honor in itself. But then I found out I got to go to this little festival in the mountains of eastern Kentucky called the Kentucky Mountain Laurel Festival. And it’s formal. You can wear white gowns and white gloves.
You have to learn how to curtsy. And it’s very formal. And this cute boy comes up to me, and he’s like, hey, my boss is running for United States Senate, and we need somebody at the University of Kentucky to be a volunteer. And I looked at him, kind of sized him up a little bit, and I said, do I get to work with you? And he said, you do. And I said, okay, I’m in. And he got about 10ft away from me, and I had this thought, like, I don’t know if his boss is a Republican or a Democrat.
So I saw him. I’m like, hey, wait, he’s your boss, a Republican or Democrat? He’s like, he’s a Republican. Is that a problem? And I was like, oh, no, thank God. My parents would kill me if you ever work for a Democrat. I went to work, and they called me in the fall, and I happened to be sorority a punch trainer for my sorority. And so they said, we need volunteers to come go door to door. And everyone in here goes how much fun that is and how easy right it is to get volunteers to come out.
So they call me, and I bring 75 cute sorority girls in the caravan to go knock doors. And all of a sudden, I got the job of being a go to for Lexington for elections. But it was really an amazing opportunity. And what I realized during that time was I liked knocking on doors. I absolutely loved it. I’ve been passionate about it. It was just one of those things where, like, you actually knock with voters. You can find out really what tookers them and what motivated them to go vote. And I can tell you now, I’m aging myself, Scott, because I know you have all this high technology and now everything’s on the apps.
But we used to walk around with clipboards and papers, and we would keep track of, you know, what house we went to. We take notes about what they were telling us. And I got so nerdy about precincts. I was walking, I would literally go back and check and see how many voters did I get out, how did I do in this precinct? And, you know, I was just happy being a great volunteer. I still volunteered after college, trying to get good Republicans elected. And then the women’s group got hold of me. And I know there are several of you all in here, but once those women groups get the calls in you, you don’t ever leave.
And they trained me very well, I would say. And so I got involved there. And then I decided I was going to run for public office. But I have a reason why. I heard there are a lot of blinded officials in this room, and some of you all probably have that why, particularly those of you who are serving at a local level. For me, I was a victim of a break in. My husband’s a lawyer. He was in the middle of a trial, and we had a man. I was pregnant, and I had a 2 year old in my.
In the crib. And a man kicked down my front door, and he had on a black mask and black gloves. And by the grace of God, I had just let my two dogs, and who are gold retrievers, by the way, that nicest, happiest dogs in. And one of them went after him. And. And I can remember thinking, but crazy about, I’m watching her tail back and I’m thinking, oh, please don’t turn around. See, my dog’s coming in to greet you and welcome you to our home. But I called 911. The police come. And I was so thankful that the police were there.
They were. But I started paying attention to what was going on with the police. And I noticed that in Lexington, they were having to fight for protective gear, that they were having to fight for just basic things like pay, good pay, their pensions. And I became very passionate about what was going on with our police. And so I decided I’m going to run for public office. That was my why simply it was to help the police. So I ran and I took. I ran and I took my lover not. And then I found out that I was a pretty good fundraiser during that election for a little city council raised every.
And this may be not enough here because I’m in California, but Lexington, Kentucky raised $150,000 for a district council seat is pretty amazing. And I won. And then I had to do the job and I realized I’m sitting down here with a bunch of liberals and all they want to do is raise taxes, raise fees and tickets at time the same taxpayer. So I started fighting him on everything. I’d be the only no vote they come to budget on anything. I was pushing back and somehow I got the attention of the state party. I was asked to run for finance chair.
I mentioned earlier we were agreeable to stay and it was that same senator. I started volunteering for college and he said it’s going to be hard but we have a plan and all of our stakeholders are on the same page. We wanted to turn Kentucky red and so we executed that plan. We did it a lot quicker than what we thought we were going to do. We got majorities in the House and Senate. We eventually won the governor. We have five of six congressional seats and two U.S. senators right now. Unfortunately I’m looking at the front right now.
Unfortunately we have a Democrat governor too who I think your horrible governor and my horrible governor are somehow competing to be president. But we’re going to win that back here. Woo woo woo woo woo. You heard over national committee woman. And then I thought, you know, I want to, I want to do more with the rnc. I just sort of want to elevate this role a little bit. What I’m doing and I know I can contribute more. I ran a business. I, you know, followed the budget with city council. I was a finance chair and I know I had a lot to offer and so I thought I’m going to run for trust.
So I reproached with the RNC and I ran against a guy who had been there since 1988 and I lost the first time by four votes. And yeah, I know. And most people are like oh that’s so bad. But let me tell you, God truly closes the wrong door sometimes to open the right door. And I saw that then because every tape in her vision pool. I’m gay, I can’t know. President sticking double down on dumb says it up. They want boys to be playing girls sports. Everything that you all don’t stand for, they seem to take the dumb route and double down on it.
And so we’ve got the message. We just got to get out there and work our tails off. And like I said, it is truly an honor to be out here promoting President Trump and the America first message. But I also get to promote another great organization, the rnc. And our chairman Walley, we are doing a phenomenal job. Ever since the election, he has stayed laser focused on our priorities. It is about getting out the vote and protecting the vote. That’s it. That’s all we’re doing. Getting out the vote, protecting the vote. We are a big tent party.
We want everyone to be involved. We can have many different flavors. I’m sure some of you all in here don’t exactly agree with each other all the time. And that’s okay. It’s okay to not agree on 100% of the things. But what I have to tell you is when you’re disagreeing with each other and fighting each other, we are not fighting Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, or Gavin. And I have to make sure I don’t say new scum, because I hear that so much that Gavin Newsom, we are not fighting each other. We are not fighting them.
And so we have got to get out and grow our party, work together. We can have all different kinds of labors, like I said, but we have to work together. And I’m excited to also talk about a little initiative that we’re starting at the rnc. And I’ve met several women here tonight. But it’s, it’s part of our drive to grow our party and also get more people engaged. And while we have lots of women from across the country who come go out with the Republicans, women’s clubs, they educate, they do things. We’re trying to close the Women National Federation of Republican Women.
They have over 100,000 members across the country. And we’re starting a program that we’re piloting in Virginia, New Jersey, called Women Increasing in Numbers. And we’re modeling it after the Truck 47 task, Truck Force 47, which many of you all participated in, where we are going to get women signed up and we are going to meet them where they are and get complected to reach races, particularly in 2025. So while I know you have a lot going ON In California 2025, we have two governors races. You all could be making phone calls in those states. You can be Writing postcards.
You don’t know what a difference that could make in tight elections. So we’re going to be rolling that out here in the next couple weeks. I’m excited to say you need to watch for that, and we’d be happy to come back to California and do some. And our other priority, like I said, is election integrity. I know Scott touched on it quite a bit, but Chairman Wiley has just done an amazing job. And some of you all may or may not know, I find this as I travel the country, but the Republican National Committee has been under a consent decree for 40 years.
Think about that. For 40 years, we could not be involved in Election Day operations. We couldn’t do it. And all of a sudden we could in 2024. And, boy, did we ever. With the focus of Chairman Wiley, President Trump and Laura Trump, we went and we started beating Democrats at their own game. We started. We started getting good at their game. We. We knew their playbook. And I left because I gave an example earlier today. We had over 200 lawsuits by the OR, just under 200 lawsuits. Then we participated, participated in. And I tell people, as treasurer, on Election Day, I’m watching, you know, the news, and it’s like, we’re filing the lawsuit here.
We’re doing this, we’re doing that. And I got a little nervous because I’m watching the legal fund drop down, and I’m thinking, oh, my goodness, we’ve got to win this outright. We’ve got to win this. And I saw Chairman Watley and he said, I feel good. I think we’re going to win this. And so we participated in all those lawsuits and approved that. When you go after them and you challenge them, they back off. Right on. They back off. And we also, we also. This is another example that people don’t realize. So do you know what happens in some big cities like Philadelphia? You’re not allowed to answer, Scott.
Okay, you’re not allowed to answer this. Here, my prison city or anybody north, this earlier today, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Detroit. Do y’ all know what they do sometimes in real high Democrat precincts on Election Day? Does anybody know what happens? Bomb threats. They call them bomb threats. And guess what happens then? They scare people. But they also close down the precincts. And so in the past, what was happening is the Democrats would come in and they say, this precinct was closed three hours. It didn’t matter if it was only closed for 10 minutes or 30 minutes. They would say, we need three hours.
And we know why they did that, right? Because they wanted to Drive up their numbers to be able to win elections and get people there to vote after hours. So it was crazy. So we knew where these we had identified because of all the pre work we had done. We’d identified the precincts for this normally happens. And whenever that long threat came in, we had people there literally with stopwatches and they were timing how long that precinct was closed. It would be 18 minutes, it might be 20 minutes, it might be 15 minutes. And what we did then was we reported that back to our attorney and went to the war room.
And this just shows you the amazing coordination and the foresight that you’re what we had. We would go then to court, the Democrats would say we need to be open three extra hours. And we would say, oh no, that voting location was only down for 17 minutes. Nine out of 10 cases, we got it down to the minute that that. And I’m happy to say that the one that we lost, the judge decided that the 19 minutes we needed to be 21. So we can kind of live with that. But I know there’s some people who are a little bitter and then we didn’t get into 19.
But anyway, it just shows you. That sounds so silly, but that made a huge difference some of these high voter precincts. And we were prepared and we used primaries as dry, dry lines to understand what we needed to do in the general. And so truly it’s amazing to work with the chairman who is just completely laser focused and amazing with investor dollars to understand that the way we win elections is getting out the vote and protecting the vote. And that is what we’re doing in 2024, 2025, 2025 and 2026. And I’m happy you guys understand there are lots of seats here that we’re going to have to fold.
There’s some that we think we can pick up and we have targeted. And so you’re going to see the RNC in the state of California. California. We’re going to be, we’re going to be making investments. We’ll have people on the ground, particularly with our election integrity. And so you’re going to see us. Right? That’s. Yeah. Not every. Robert, I’ll change like it might be a little different story. Right. I’m not quite sure. But you’ll see us. We’ll have a strong, robust election integrity program going on here. And what we’re doing is top level to help with our congressional seats here.
It is definitely going to have a spillover down into all the other races going on in the state. So like I said, it is truly an honor to serve in this capacity. I can’t tell you, traveling the country just how amazing it is to go out and represent the greatest president I’ve ever seen in my lifetime, as well as Chairman Whatley and the Republican National Committee. But we can only do so much. We need you all. We need you all like we’ve never needed you before. 2020-26 has huge implications. I mentioned President Trump needs to be a four year president, not a two year president.
I can only go to so many dinners, I can only do so many trainings. Chairman Watley can only raise so much money, go to so many dinners. We can only do so much. We need you all to come together, roll up your sleeves and work like you have never worked before. It is that important. So I’m asking you all tonight to commit to doing everything you can because you worked hard, you got out and voted for President Trump. But he needs to be there four years and we can’t do it unless you all get behind him and work like you’re working to elect him because you are he to be a four year president.
So thank you all for having me here tonight. God bless you. And I’m going to end on a really happy note because as you know, today is the President’s birthday and he loves to see big groups of people together, particularly when we are celebrating him and all his accomplishments. So I’m going to ask Scott to come up and bring your phone and we’re going to follow Mindy, Corinne, come on up here and I who would like to see somebody can come video and we’re going to do all together a big happy birthday. We’re going to make sure we get into President Trump so he can see this.
Stand up, Stand up, people. Happy birthday. Everybody stand up. Everybody stand up. And we’re going to just say Happy Birthday. Hey, everybody, this is Scott Cressler, RMC coach here at Casey Crosby, Chairwoman Paul Winsell and Corinne. And we are here with the San Diego GOP on a special day. Sing it. Are y’ all ready? Happy birthday. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to. Happy birthday to you. So you all don’t quit your day jobs except for the three ladies who were up here singing earlier. Don’t put your day job as I say Happy birthday to President trump.
Happy birthday, Mr. President. Happy birthday, President Trump. We love you. Thank you very much. That was awesome. Can I have the officers of the Republican Party of San Diego county come up front so that would be first vice chair Sorenson, second vice chair Christy Bruce Lane, Treasurer Bill Exeter and secretary Dan Bickford. And also, can I have the executive director, Jacob Richards, come up front, please. This is our team and I want to first of all thank them for helping us. I want to give a special shout out to my first vice chair, Alana Sorenson. We could not have done this without their expertise and their power.
So please give them a big round of applause. Now, bikers, hat for in the come on up to the stage, please. Light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light, light. Like.
