Hey, this is Marjorie. I’m going to do a quick thing here on Exhaustion and a couple of you have absolutely, correctly noticed that I look exhausted and it is because I am exhausted. Hahaha. I wanted to riff on that. So, um, yeah, I’m, you know, like it’s summer, August, uh, right now, 2026. Uh, you know, the SPR is now below 300 million barrels, you know, Cushing, Oklahoma is like right at tank bottoms. I don’t know why the price is low. The price of corn, wheat, soy has been selling for like dollars below what it costs farmers to produce.

The Dow is hitting all times high. I mean, we are in this crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy insane time period. And, um, I just moved onto this property in early June and I, you know, said what I need to do over this summer, over the next three, four months, is focus on power, water, and food. And so, uh, I have been doing that. So I’ve been working mostly at the rabbit. Most of the rabbit tractors are, you know, coming along. Got a lot of them built. Uh, and then the cavies. And then, of course, getting the genetics, getting the cavies, uh, from, uh, from the mainland.

And then also sourcing rabbits. I’ll get some of them from the mainland, different parts of the island, making sure I have good genetics. And then, um, working on the cages for them. I’ve just found a contractor that I think will be able to, I like him. I’ve been interviewing a bunch of them to get my solar power system installed. Uh, yeah. And then I’ve been getting all the pieces for the rainwater collection system and I’m starting to design that in my mind. So yeah, I’m like, I’m busy, right? I, I believe, and I’ve said this before, I think it’s Mark Shrirock has said, you know, this is the last summer that you have to prepare while it’s calm.

And you’ll be able to prepare and you’ll be able to gather things. You’ll be able to do things, you know, in the fall and in the winter. I think we’re just going to have a much greater proportion of, uh, the rest of the population figuring that out and prices going nuts and things like that. So this is the easy time. So, um, yeah, I have been doing a lot of work. Construction works really gets you into weird positions. And, uh, it also happens to be the summertime when it’s really, really hot. So yes, I get up in the morning to work when it’s as cool as possible.

My philosophy on exhaustion is, is I want to get stronger and have more endurance. Like I know that I’m capable of a lot, uh, and I want to develop more endurance. Uh, and in order to do that, in order to develop strength and endurance, you have to push up against exhaustion. Like that’s just a thing. Now it’s a real interesting, uh, you know, you can go too far, right? I do frequently do that. Uh, so like for right now, I have gone too far. So for this weekend, I’ve really been dialing it back, not doing as much physical work, working more on the computer, you know, that kind of stuff.

Taking longer naps. I did a regenerative, uh, athletic regenerative thing, which was, you know, just kind of like a night yoga, but more of a stretching and relaxing thing. So yeah, and I can feel it when, you know, like I’ll feel it in, uh, my glands will be swelling and then of course everything’s aching and then getting up is really hard. Yeah, I know I’m, I’m, I’m exhausted, right? And if you’ve ever read any of the, uh, biographies or biographies of professional athletes, they’re, that’s what they do. Most of the runners and all these kinds of things, you know, they’re exhausted, a good part of the time.

They’re pushing themselves to get to higher and higher levels of fitness and capability. The biggest difference, which would be normal, you know, I’m chugging through this, but the big difference is, is I’m aware that I am developing strength and endurance. So when it’s as most everything else in life, right? It’s attitude. Like I know that I’m developing, you know, an immense amount of strength and resiliency and that’s what I want to do. And that, and my attitude when I’m in this, like, okay, this hurts. So let me drink some turmeric and some ginger, a little black pepper that really does help the joints.

Let me make sure, let me really make sure I focused staying hydrated, lots and lots of mineral drinks, uh, and things, um, occasional enemas to, you know, like really rehydrate you that way. Uh, eating a lot of fresh foods that are high water content, you know, making sure I’m keeping a really clean diet, trying to stay away. Like I don’t drink coffee except for very rarely. So trying to stay away from that kind of stimulation stuff. Although I do love my chocolate. Uh, yeah. So, and, and really, you know, doing the best I can to take care of this body and pushing the body.

So, um, and there are times when I just absolutely have to stop and let it rest because rest and rejuvenation is when you actually build muscle strength. So it’s a, you know, it’s a, you know, like everything, it’s a, it’s a, you know, it’s a common ago and it’s a wave and up and a down and up and down, but I’m wanting that, uh, trend to be upward. And I really can’t wait to look forward to the fall when we first get that bit of cold air coming in. And I know that I’m going to have so much strength and endurance, it’ll be like, it’ll just be fun from that point on because when the cool weather comes in and I’ve already built all this up.

Um, yeah, I’ve, I’ve been there before, you know, I’ve done this before. So, uh, yeah, anyway, I am exhausted and I’m working now on resting a little bit and then I’ll be going back at it. Um, and I’m doing this very intentionally, very methodically. So, um, I’ve mentioned before to you, a lot of people going, oh, I feel achy and I’m old. I’m getting old. I’m going to tell you, I’ve been an athlete of some sort all of my life. And even when I was a teenager, you know, we’d be running cross country in the afternoon and then doing on the swim team in the evening.

And I would wake up in the morning, achy and sore and everything. Like how hard are you pushing your body, right? It’s not that you’re getting old, it’s that you’re pushing your body. And yeah, we are getting old. By the way, regarding that getting old thing, another thing that I’ve been very conscientious through, throughout my life, and I’m always working on it now, is posture and appropriate use of the movement of the body. We’re just having some discussion in the comments about, hey, long distance running is not good for you when you get older.

Um, you know, and I, you know, do or don’t know about that. That’s not something I do anymore. Um, I’m really interested now. I’m in a animal, it’s called animal flow or gold metal body. There’s a couple of different schools where you were doing a lot of quadrupedal movement. That’s just basically means you’re using your, your hands and your knees. And I’m finding a lot of cross body strength I did not have that I’m developing now. Um, and I’m always, always working on posture, you know, how can I, you know, be sitting upright, you know, always working on posture because, um, yeah, I, a girlfriend of mine, I love, love her to death.

Hey Vicki, I hope you can, can get a chance to see this, uh, get into her fifties. A lot of us in our fifties were like, well, we got to do something, you know, we’re losing it, right? And so she went out and like trained for a marathon and then runs a marathon, has this huge marathon experience, which is wonderful, right? And then she goes, I’m pretty sure that that’s, you know, like what set me up for that Hitler replacement. Again, you know, not focusing on biomechanics and posture and all of that and just trying to push through.

So like everything, you know, there’s lots of variables. Um, and you know, you’re an adult. You’ve, you’ve been around a few times. You’ve been around then been through a few rodeos. You have a good sense of what you can and can’t do. These are just things that have worked for me and this is what I am doing. And, um, yeah, I haven’t helped us all, right? Okay. This is Marjorie. Yes, I am exhausted. I am sleeping. I’m getting to bed earlier. I’ll talk to you later. [tr:trw].
