Hello, my name is Paul, and I am the voice-over for a ministry provided to you by Jim Pugue at God is Government called Your Daily Bread. Taken from Christ’s teaching of the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6, verse 11. This is a daily devotion ministry focused not only on upper uplifting scripture, but scripture that will grow your spiritual connection with Christ. We hope that you receive these devotions to uplift you, encourage you, but most importantly advance your knowledge base of the Holy Scriptures. Today’s focus discussion will be on understanding the law of abundance and increase.

Dictionaries define abundance and being abundant. Abundant is defined as fully sufficient and in great supply. When we think of abundance, we think primarily of material items such as food, wealth and property. However, when we look at this law of abundance, we need to look at it on a much broader scale. Abundance is a universal term that applies to everything. Whatever we look at, we see abundance in anything and everything. God being our source of supply is abundant. Source created the universe in such a way that doesn’t require any human intervention whatsoever in producing an abundance of all things, far in excess of what could ever possibly be utilised by our world.

Source is unlimited in whatever it supplies. Abundance exists and is thriving not only in the physical world that we can easily observe with our five human senses, but beyond the physical, in the unseen, metaphysical or spiritual realm as well. When you choose to examine and explore the law of abundance at these greater depths, you can not only discover some powerful and life-changing insights, but begin to consciously use them to begin personally experiencing the abundance that is and always has been available to you, without limitation. Continuing our journey to find the universal laws, we move forward a bit in Genesis to the story of Abraham and Isaac.

The story is told within Genesis chapter 22. While the story begins as God tests Abraham about not only his obedience, but his willingness to sacrifice the most prized possession of his, the heir to Abraham, his only son Isaac. In Genesis 22 verse 2, God tells Abraham, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get to thee into the land of Moriah, and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. Abraham obeys and takes Isaac to the mountains around Moriah.

When they got to an area outside of Moriah, Abraham was told of the specific mountain. He left the men he brought with them for the trip and took the wood, knife, and Isaac to the mountaintop. During the journey to the mountaintop, Isaac noticed that they were carrying the wood for a burnt offering, but had no lamb and asked Abraham where was the sacrifice. In Genesis 22 verse 8, Abraham tells his son, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering. When they reached the mountaintop, Abraham built the altar, placed the wood on the altar, tied his son with rope, and laid him on top of the wood as the sacrifice in obedience to God.

Abraham lifted his knife to kill Isaac in the offering when God’s angel told him to stop and take the ram that was caught there for Abraham to sacrifice. The story ends with Genesis 22 verses 15 through 18. With the angels of God telling Abraham, and the angel of the Lord called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, and said, By myself have I sworn saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son. That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the starts of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the seashore.

And thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies, and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because thou hast obeyed my voice. This story provides us with a number of laws. We have used the story of Noah to look at the law of obedience, but this story of Abraham and Isaac is another of many stories that support the law of obedience. The first law identified by Abraham’s obedience is the law of increase. The law of increase. Abraham probably did not know what was to happen when he reached the mountaintop other than he was going to obey God.

But when he addressed Isaac’s question about the lamb sacrifice, Abraham was giving praise to God. He was letting God know that he trusted in him and would obey him at all costs. In doing so he allowed God to bless him with the benefits of the universe, increasing the abundance around Abraham, releasing his son from being sacrificed. Looking at the process surrounding this law, we find that as we praise our source, we automatically increase our vibration level at a much higher plane that allows us to receive all the good awaiting us. In doing so we expand the mind by opening it up to source, and through this we achieve the shortest route to manifestation of things into our life experiences.

The act of condemnation and criticism does the opposite. Thank you for joining us in this exploration of understanding the law of abundance and increase. Until next time, remember to keep the faith, stay strong, and continue to shine your light in the world. To hear these daily devotions of your daily bread, please log on to www.mooji.org
