The text emphasizes the need to empower strong sheriffs and replace those who are weak, as they can protect citizens’ rights against potential threats. It also mentions some criticism towards sheriffs, but argues that they are essential for maintaining local autonomy and resisting unjust actions.

Appreciate everything you do, Sheriff Leaf. It’s wonderful to see you. I have a little short piece here. We’ve got a couple more minutes. That was Tucker Carlson speaking to somebody. Maybe you recognize who it is. I don’t. But this individual is explaining to Tucker how important the sheriffs are. And, you know, I was going to play it for Sheriff Mack as well. But regardless, if you got a second, we’ll have a look at it. He talks about the sheriffs being the front line. I think this is right out of, you know, Sheriff Mack’s dialogue.

That’s good news. But then we also have something at our local levels, especially in parts of the country where the county sheriffs are very strong. Yes. Because the sheriffs are the last line of defense constitutionally between the central government and the local people, local jurisdictions. And since sheriffs are democratically elected from the local level, they can determine whether or not to help federal authorities if the feds come into an area and abuse their power. They depend on the sheriffs and the local cops. The sheriffs can put a stop to that. So it matters for us to be empowering our sheriffs in states where the sheriffs are strong and then getting rid of sheriffs who are going to be weak about it.

Anyway, it’s a very short piece, but it does say things, doesn’t it? Yeah. Do you see like a Tucker Carlson spacer? Yeah, that’s the end of that. Like he disagrees. What’s the disagree about? You elect your sheriff. Why? Why do you elect people into office to protect your rights? Right. A bunch of bureaucrats are unelected coming in trying to strip you of those. And you know, there’s a, there’s a push. Like you go looking now, is it Connecticut? They don’t have any sheriffs. It’s all done by state police. Well, they just centralized the power like the communists do.

Yep. Yeah. I mean, your point early on is that men that are sheriffs that don’t understand that their position is so unique, so powerful, and so required. The nation is dependent upon it. You have to have the ability to be autonomous as you do, to make decisions on your own without committee, to not have a bureaucracy that stands above you and, and then scrutinizes everything that you do. And you know, sheriffs get a lot of flack from the fact that they made some call that some group of people don’t think is correct.

And then they go out like that, Jessica Pishka, who writes often, she’s got a book out about how constitutional sheriffs are a menace. But in fact, what she’s doing is supporting the actual people who are scared to death of the constitutional sheriff. And he’s the one man that can stand up and say, no, we’re not going to do this. No, we’re not going to permit you to put these people in jail for not wearing a mask. Or eventually, I hope they’ll be able to say, no, you’re not going to give any more of these vaccines in our, in our schools to our children.

That’s the sort of position that a sheriff has. And, and without that individual, the, the people in the United States have no representative. And I’m glad you understand it. But I can see it’s very hard for a lot of people, I see the way they behave, they act as though they’re just servants, the federal government coming to their door with the FBI, whatever I would imagine they roll out the red carpet. What can we do for you? How can we serve you? Well, Mac, without what got the whole constitutional sheriff and peace officers association going was his case there about the Brady bill there.

And I like quoting this, it’s that constitution protects us from our own best intentions or something like that, our own best intentions. So it divides power among sovereigns and three branches of government. What does that mean? And people don’t get it. What is a sovereign? Well, I’m a sovereign office. I, my job is, is my job description is here as a sheriff, our prosecutor’s job description. That’s a sovereign officer job as, as a prosecutor, much like our commissioners. We don’t answer to the state. We don’t have to, we don’t answer to the federal government because that is not in our job description.

And if you don’t get it, all you union people out there, I like throwing this example out there that if you’re a press operator and the light bulb goes out above your press, does the press operator change that? Well, the answer to that is no, you’ll get in trouble if you change that. Well, why? Because it’s not your job. Somebody else’s job to do that. And that’s what they mean, divided among sovereigns and three branches of government. We have all these sovereign county board of commissioners. You got your township, you got your village offices, you got your cities, and so on.

And I thought that was probably one of the most powerful rulings I’ve read in my career, that one right there. It’s much stronger than most people think it is. I would imagine that most of the people that are involved on the other side of this game don’t want to even bring it up. And it’s surprising that it survived this long, meaning that they haven’t gone in and modified it. So anyway, it’s a powerful tool and it’s designed for this time period. And I think that the Supreme Court Justice left us with something that was designed to empower us at this point in time, Scalia.

And how he went out of this world is somewhat questionable. But I think in this particular case, he did stand up for America and do the right thing. So anyway, we thank you for what you do. And we keep an eye on you. Every week I scan the news to see if there’s anything else they’re throwing at you or anything’s happened in your county. Because you’re just one of these amazing people that deserve to be followed and praised and kept up with. So thank you, sir. We appreciate it. [tr:trw].
