WHY HEGSETH IS MEETING WITH 400 GENERALS AND ADMIRALS

I know a lot of you just hate unnamed sources and I’d love to live in a world where people could step out, tell the truth, be a whistleblower, not have repercussions. But not only are they risking their jobs when they whistleblower, they’re risking their life. Really, they’re risking everything. Julian Assange, do I have to say more? Exactly. Now, gone to the days of Daniel Ellsberg in the Pentagon Papers where he blew the lid on the motivation for the Vietnam War. That’ll never happen again. But the reason that unnamed sources come to us and not major media, and I say major, the recognized household names, we outdraw most major media.

Our podcast outdraws every major media, every. It’s not even close and I’m not bragging. But they come to us because we have a history of trust. When major media is caught doctoring interview tapes, which led to a lawsuit by Donald Trump against ABC, when they’re caught breaking debate rules, as CBS and ABC did in the 2024 election, sources don’t trust them. So they come to us. And I’ve been hearing a lot, oh boy, the stuff on Charlie Kirk off the charts I had. I said what I had to say earlier today.

Heck was almost a half hour production. I don’t go that long because I don’t think people’s attention span is that long. But there was a lot of info in there and I’m getting even more, but I’m not going there the rest of this day, at least. What’s happening? We’ve had one source and a friend who has a source telling the exact same story. And I talked to Paul Preston today and he has this information and Paul and I’ve talked twice in the last 12 hours and we tend to kind of like fact check each other.

Obviously, I have a great deal of respect for Paul, highly respected agenda, 21 radio. He will be the governor of the 51st state in California, not his state, but my statement. I’ve been lucky enough to speak at a state convention and they’re not far away from becoming the 51st state. Anyway, that aside, here’s what Paul and I have looked at. Why, why is this huge meeting of generals and admirals taking place in Virginia? Now, I think there’s a security risk. I’m concerned something would happen. We need that leadership, but we have some bad leadership there too.

We have the shutdown on the 30th. I believe this meeting is scheduled for the 30th. Trump has had trouble firing federal employees. There’s a court challenge every time and this is the first president in American history that has not had complete control over the hiring and firing of people that are under executive branch authority. It’s ridiculous. By the way, he has fewer appointments confirmed than any other president in modern American history. So people have approached Paul, have approached me, have approached someone else that I know well, and the story is the same.

We believe from what we’re told that the major reason for this huge conglomerate meeting links back to what I just said. You thought I was digressing, I was not. They’re going to talk about budget issues and the military, but it’s going to be a lever to defund some military leaders they don’t like, transfer duties to another calm, transfer the money, and render these people impotent. You don’t have a scandal of firing like Biden. He fired a few. Obama fired over 300 conservative generals and admirals. You don’t have that scandal looming that the left would go nuts on.

You have a reallocation of funding which is effectively a de facto firing. That’s what we believe the number one reason is right now for this meeting and also too. Are there other compelling reasons? Yes, but I don’t think you let the rhinos in there, the traders, like a General Milley, for example, who, oh, if we go to war with China, I’d have to inform my counterpart. How many lives would that cost General Milley? And he wonders why people refer to him as a trader. That should be prosecuted. And I don’t know if it falls inside the statute of limitations, but that really upset a lot of people, especially in the military.

Now, there’s other reasons associated with this, and we’re all in agreement on this. One is what’s going to be our tactics with Venezuela? How do we contain China while this is going on? And what’s our policy going to be regarding air incursions from Russia, which just happened today? We had Russian fighter jets break Alaskan airspace. If that were in Europe, they’d have been shot down today. Trump has not issued such an order. He has advised the Europeans, according to what he said to the press, to shoot them down. This is going to be a decided change in policy.

And this is what he tells people in Alaska to do. And it really does mean war. One of the reasons I believe that President Trump got elected in 2016, Hillary Clinton scared the heck out of America when she said, we’re going to have a no fly zone over Syria, meaning shoot Russian jets down. That would have meant war. And I think she scared off a lot of people who were in the middle, not sure who to vote for. They chose peace and Donald Trump. This is now an issue that’s resurfacing. And with Donald Trump, now the shoes on the other foot, he can’t back down to Putin.

He can’t. He’s given Putin every chance for a ceasefire, come to a peace agreement, and he has it. Now Zelensky has not been exactly cooperative, but Putin is still an antagonist. He’s pushing things to a higher level. And Trump has decided it’s time to meet force with force. And that is another discussion there among these generals and admirals, but I bet they send some of the ones you can’t trust home before they discuss the critical issues. This is an unprecedented meeting in American military history. Never before have we ever, ever seen this.

Now, some of the budget cuts are justified. We have just over a million active duty in our military, but we have 44 four-star generals and admirals. In World War II, they had a 12 million man army and only seven four-star generals. We’re bloated at the top. We’re top heavy with what we would call in business administration. Here, we’re top heavy in generals. That is going to be thinned out. And some people are going to be strongly suggested you retire, or we’ll take away your budget and basically confine you to a desk in a closet.

Now I’m being a little facetious here, but effectively that’s what would happen. Is there anything else on the table? I’m sure there is, but I haven’t been made privy to it. So you can count on the fact that we’re going to see shifting of Pentagon money and some cutting out of waste and fraud. I’m Dave Hodges. This is The Common Sense Show. Check out our TV show.
