WHOS OPPOSING TULSIS NOMINATION AND WHAT TRUMP CAN DO ABOUT IT

President, I’ve never liked the nomination process because it’s so phony below. It’s so political. And I suppose people can make a case for it’s a check and balance. All right. I’ll grant you that. But it certainly doesn’t serve the purpose of a check and balance.

But Trump needs to get his people in to get things done. He can’t do it by himself. I was asked on the John Moore show today, Dave, what do you think about Trump’s appointments? I give him a BB plus. For the most part, they’re good, except for his chief of staff. And, you know, a couple others I don’t really care for. But most of them, yes. One of the first of them that I’ve done a complete 180 on is Tulsi Gabbard. And a deep dive into the people who are vociferously speaking out against her and saying, no, we can’t have her.

She’s by Hindu. She is in a cult. And they believe that they’re gods. And oh, come on. Really? This is the best you can do. A lieutenant colonel in the reserve. She served in a combat zone. She’s brave. She’s efficient. She’s smart. And honestly, not to be insulting to Tulsi, but she’s seen the light. I often said she’d be an impressive Republican. I said that. I said, she’s got to modify some of those views and realize that she’s serving a party that’s beneath her. She came to that realization. We need her to be the head of DNI.

Highly intelligent. Highly. And she knows what’s going on. Former presidential candidate. Congresswoman from Hawaii. Now she’s being opposed by a group. And would you care to guess who the group really represents? Whose side they’re really on? And why they’re opposed to her? That’s nothing to do with her racial background of being small. And if she is a Hindu or not, I could care less. Don’t we have freedom of religion in America? I could care less what her religion is. It’s not affecting her work. Who do you think opposes her? We should do a contest, but no, I’ll do a spoiler alert here.

She’s opposed by person after person after person. Who’s connected to the military industrial complex. They want to continue to help the Pentagon avoid audits to lose billions, if not trillions of dollars. I don’t know how much they’ve lost. No one knows because they haven’t passed an audit in what, six years, four years. She will change that. And that’s what they’re worried about. They want to take that extra trip to the Bahamas next year, courtesy your tax dollars. And she’s saying, no, no, no, no. The president has a clear mandate. We’re ending these wars. We will be no one to be messed with, but we are ending these wars.

That’s why they want her out. Now, what can Trump do? What Trump can do is just go to Thune and just say, Hey, look, you support this. You said you did. Okay. Call a recess and I’ll make the recess appointments. Avoid the whole nonsense all together. Just get it done. And Tulsi Gabbard is someone we need as the head of DNI. Finally, finally, we get it really good person on our side that can reign in. Let’s put it this way, mostly rain in the military industrial complex. They’re so ingrained in what we do. It’d be like cutting off your arm to cure a hangnail, but we can limit their damage.
