Gen Z, Nepal. Gen Z, Kenya, Madagascar, Morocco, Tanzania. They’re broken, Busted. And a dot com bust is another one. And unfortunately if we don’t have peace on earth. World War three. And they asked this cat by the name of Einstein what kind of weapons will they use to fight the third World War? He knew a thing about too about the atomic bomb.

He’s the founder of the Trends Journal. And he’s been doing this for over four decades. I guess he’s the same age as Donald Trump and he’s from New York. He’s not very fond of any politician, including him. And so we talk about geopolitics, we talk about what is happening in the world today. He doesn’t have as much. We had a communication issue, so we didn’t have as much time as I thought. But I wanted to do this interview anyways because I wanted to talk about what was going on in Davos because what’s coming out of there is kind of incredible.

You know, he says the same thing I do. I’ve never seen this in my life. I’m not as old as he is, but I’ve been doing this for a while and I’ve been doing this work for a while. And the craziness that we’re seeing is. It’s just something I’ve never seen before, the Greenland situation. I keep asking people, what in the world is a deal with Greenland? Because I’ve just never seen anything so blatant before. It’s probably negotiating power, right? Because our negotiating tactics, because who would behave this way? Just take it. Right. That’s so weird.

My theory is he wants out of NATO and he wants Greenland and he’s just doing it. And I think by taking Greenland, he’s forcing NATO’s hand to kick him out too. I think there’s more going on here and I wouldn’t trust. I just wouldn’t trust what’s on the surface for of any of this stuff. And people need to realize that almost all politics and almost all games do not happen in the public sphere. You do not. I mean, all you have to do is sit on a local board, a local school board or a local sports teams board, right? Like a soccer board or something.

And you realize that almost all politics happen, happens behind the scenes. What you’re seeing there in front, in public is typically already decided upon. It’s just not the reality of the situation. So there’s games being played to these guys. You know, Minneapolis, everything else, all of this are games that the public are just pawns to be played with. That’s how I see it. Not sure if the average person is really in their radar. The only time the average person becomes in their radar is when the force is too powerful for them to ignore. That’s when we work together, we unite, and they can’t handle it when we’re divided even on really contentious issues, if we’re divided on contentious issues, when you have half people that maybe support you and half of them that don’t, and then we’re busy fighting over those things, they can go and do whatever they want.

I mean, that’s what they’re doing. And so it’s important to not get caught up in all this division. But it’s hard because a lot of these topics are so propaganda driven that you get sucked into it. Right. I also want to say that the, the mass media, it’s been a big bait and switch. The Internet’s a big bait and switch. The, the whole way it was sold originally, that it would be this distributed platform and we’d get all these independent voices. That’s. That’s a fantasy. That’s not happening. And what’s happening, you know, the mass media is collapsing, but it’s just reforming on a new medium.

Right. Just like radio or cable television or any of that is a medium. And so now it’s just going to online. So all these mass media people are just repackaging themselves as independent media people being supported by the same players. Sure, there are a lot of media personalities that have broken free, who they’re letting go probably. It’s a great way to reshift and get aligned with the people that you want to be aligned with. So this is a big settling out. But don’t think for a minute that these platforms are not just the new mainstream media.

And section230 was created to be more of a neutral conduit for these big platforms. So they have immunity so that if anything happens, as long as they’re not an editor, then they can, they’re not responsible for the content that’s on their platform. But now every single of these, one of these platforms use algorithms to decide who’s going to be elevated and who’s not. So they can maximize their earning potential. That’s what editors do. They do that. So now they’re just a clean definition of what editors do. But yet they still have the immunity clause. They’re deciding what content you see, and then they still have that with blanket immunity.

It’s so against our Constitution, it’s not even funny. And the courts need to just pull their heads out of their behind. I mean, I don’t know what to tell you. They need to start recognizing this. And a lot of people push back and say the courts are completely captured. We don’t even have a court system. And when you see stuff like this, you start going, well, maybe they have a point. Maybe we don’t have a court system. Maybe common law is what we need to move to. Because, I mean, when they’re supporting just blatant unconstitutional behavior, you start to question if these people are right.

I mean, they need to act responsible. If you want people to think you’re responsible, I mean, it’s not that complicated, right? If you’re not acting responsible, people won’t think you’re responsible. The institutions are losing credibility because they weren’t acting credible, and so they lose credibility. It’s just kind of a basic human thing. And if you want to have respect, you act in ways that people respect. Not that hard. Anyways, this conversation with Gerald Celente is a good one. Hi, Gerald, welcome to the program. Oh, thank you so much for having me on. Well, I’ve been wanting to have you on for a while. We finally get here, even though it was a little bumpy along the way with some communication issues. But you’re here. We only have you for about 25 minutes, but let’s talk about some of the trends that you’re seeing. I assume you’re covering what’s going on in Davos. That’s kind of like top of the mind of people. Kind of incredible information coming out. What do you think about the overall messaging coming out of Davos? You know, you never know what’s going to happen.

They say one thing and do another thing. But Trump is making it perfectly clear that Greenland is ours and we’re going to take it, but we won’t go do it militarily. But again, you know, again, I’m a political atheist. I got to make this a thousand percent clear to me. They call it governments, I call them crime syndicates. And so I call things the way they are, not the way I want them to be. And you go, you know, you go back to Trump. You know, he says he’s going to do one thing and he does another thing.

You know, you look at, you go back when he was running for president, how he was going to be all about peace. And then they kidnapped the president of Venezuela and his wife. He’s bombed Somalia 120 times since he’s been in office, bombed Iraq, bombed Yemen, bombed Iran. So they say one thing and they’re going to do the other. And just something came out where Lagarde walked out of the dinner at Davos when Lutnik was giving a talk because he started condemning what was going on in the eu. So this is a. It’s. I’ve been at this for 46 years.

I’ve never seen such a wilder time in my life. And you take a look at what’s going on with gold and silver prices, how they’re spiking. Again, I’ve been at this for 46 years. One of my books was called Trend Tracking. Far better than Megatrends. Time magazine, I said, how I started buying gold in 1978. Never has it gone up like this. And by the way, very important. Go to today’s Wall Street Journal. Not a major article. That’s right. About gold and silver prices spiking. Nothing. How could they ignore that? How could they ignore that? Yeah, well, they got $230 since last week.

Not. Not a word. It’s pretty. But that’s kind of insightful, Right? That means that that scares them. Exactly. Because the reason gold and silver prices are going up because they’re precious metals and safe haven assets. And it’s showing you how screwed up the world is. That’s very sad, isn’t it? When you’re on the front lines, you get to see kind of some of that. Now, have you ever seen in your life anything like Greenland, this negotiating? Personally, I’ve never seen anything like this. No, I never have. I’m telling you, I’ve been at this. I grew up during the Vietnam War.

You know, I’m the same age as Trump. If I look. Hey, you look great. You look great. I look like him, man. But anyway, thank you. And so do you. Thank you. And where are you, by the way? I’m in the Twin Cities. I’m in the Minneapolis area. All right. Oh, hello. Yeah. What’s going on over there? And again, that’s the COVID of our Trends Journal this week. Yeah, well, I. America. America’s cold as ice. You know, what’s going on is heartbreaking to me and many directions. Many directions. It’s not just now the fact that Somalia has been bombed 120 times.

Do you think that’s a key component to the heated rhetoric when it comes to them? I mean, the fraud is incredible that you can’t ignore. I mean, that’s real. The fraud is everywhere. I mean, look at the. Look at the. Here. How about this fraud? Let’s go back to 2019, JP Morgan Chase fined $900 million. How come? For rigging the precious metals market. Fraud. Oh. They’ve only been convicted of five felonies. Hey, I’m Jamie Diamond. Take it easy. All right. Okay. Well, let me ask you. You know, I have a theory that they going after fraud.

They’re going after Minnesota because it’s an easy target. It makes them look like they’re going after fraud. They’re not looking at California, New York and some of the other areas that have pretty bad fraud too. Right. And you just named another one. Another company that has jace. You know, Chase Morgan Chase has really bad fraud too. So do you think they’re just going after Minnesota because it’s an easier target? Yeah. And making themselves see how tough they are. And by the way, you know, I used to teach close combat. Had my school for many years. You don’t beat up women like that.

You don’t drag them out of the car like that. You don’t throw them on the ground. Real men don’t do that. Real men don’t do that. Just to make it clear, you don’t do that to women. No, I, I can 100% appreciate that. But what do you say about. Because I’m in the Twin Cities area, I know that what they’re doing is pretty extreme. The Democrat, you know, the trifecta and the extreme litigation, the or extreme legisl. The immunity for immigration, immunity for abortion, immunity for transgender. I mean they’re just, they’re sanctuary cities. So how are we.

It is a target. It is. And there’s going to be other targets too. They’ll forget about that when it moves somewhere else. You know, it’s just one of the many. But going back onto what we see going on, these are some of our top trends.com bus 2.0 trends are born, they grow, they mature, reach old age and die. You don’t invest all your money in the infant that was born in 2022. Again, the trends Journal. When it was a quarterly magazine. Now it’s a weekly dot com bus 2.0. The dot com bus rather. 1999 Autumn. We said it would bust by the second quarter 2000, and it did.

What do you think is going to get caught up in that? That’s really interesting to me because I come from that industry and that’s my background. And I lived and experienced and breathed the bus, the first one. What do you think is going to bust this time? Where is AI? Too much investment in AI because like 70% you don’t invest all your dough in the infant that was just born. Let’s go back a year ago, just about now. Deep seek happens. What’s a deep seek? Oh, a Chinese AI company. No, it didn’t cost us $100 million to do it.

It cost us 6 million. And we don’t need those big chips again. Trend was just born. That’s right. Number two. 50% of the US GDP last year. Investment in AI. Way over invested. Now let’s go to China. Let’s go back 25 years ago before Slick Willie Clinton. I didn’t have sex with that woman. Monica Lewinsky. I just drove you. Oh, that. Yeah, that guy. He brought China into the World Trade Organization 25 years ago. 10% of Chinese 18 year olds went to college back then. Now nearly 70%. This is a country 1.4 billion people and China is investing very, very heavily in AI.

It’s the future. Love it, hate it, want it. They’re dumping tons of dough into. These are very intelligent people. Again before China brought was came into the World Trade Organization. Here. Gold, gold price is spiking. Let’s go again. I started buying gold in 1978. In my book anyway. You know what? China’s GDP back in 1978 was about $150 billion. A billion people in only $150 billion and now over $20 trillion. The BRICs have had enough of America’s hegemony so they’re investing very, very heavily. The death of the dollar has begun. You’re going to start seeing more and more.

Look at the Chinese companies that are investing in AI and how their stocks are flying up. The future is going to be with with them again. These are very intelligent people. Before the Western nations went to China, they couldn’t make automobiles. They were making crap. We helped them industrialize and create their superpower. And now we’re wondering why we’re sitting in our situation. You got it. They sold us out. They gave China all the heavy industry and high tech they never had. And again, going back again with gold prices going up. I’ve been at this 46 years.

Never have I seen it go like this again. I’m doing it with $230 in a week. And not a word, not a word in the Wall Street Journal. $5 a day. They don’t want to skip people. New York Times. Why? Why though? They’re afraid. But they want to keep the prices low. Possible. And if it gets in the front page of the Wall Street Journal, everyone’s buying. You got it. And it’s the prices are going up because it’s telling you how bad the geopolitical and socioeconomic climate is. I’m telling you, I never see anything like this in my life.

Well, it’s interesting then. Shekman. Andy Schectman comes on my show periodically. Every other week, actually. And he’s saying that we have no choice as a country. We have to bring back manufacturing. We have to bring back our. All of our industrial. We have to re. Foundation, right, create our infrastructure. And we’re going to be going through a pile of shit to get there. He says, do you agree with them? Yes, again. Go back to Slick Willie Clinton sucking our jobs out and send them to Mexico, nafta. Hey, you don’t want these dirty manufacturing over there. This little clown boy, that came from nothing.

A little nothing of a clown. Was he worth about $130 million now? Yeah, that’s right. Yeah. Oh, hey, I talked to the Goldman Sachs. Oh, they gave me $400,000 an hour, $200,000 an hour. I could hear bullshit for free. It’s so. It’s pretty obvious to those of us that are watching it what’s really going on. But do you think that the people. I mean, Biden didn’t even have a chance to make a difference? I don’t think it was very scary. Do you think the current people that are in place under the administration can get us out of this mess? They all could have done it.

They’re all bought out. Again, it’s a crime syndicate. When I was a young man, there were things called grocery stores, hardware stores, stationary stores, shoe stores, clothing stores, fish stores, butcher shops, all gone. I know, all gone. The big zone, everything. This is a T shirt, by the way I did for Bill Clinton when he ran for office in 1992. And just to make it 1000% clear, this is how I feel. I was the assistant to the secretary of the New York State Senate at pictures of me when I put on a brunch for Ronald Reagan.

We have 16 of our board of directors. I was 30 years old. They were the Prince of Norway, the Prime Minister of the uk Major, minor and clown. And you call these guys man out, man to man. They fall like. Don’t. Don’t talk to me like you little. Don’t you tell me what. Why don’t you have him arrested. All right. They’re gutless little clowns. That’s. I can’t stand the system.

They’re robbing us of our freedom day in and day out just to get richer and tell us more and more what to do. Stand six feet apart. Put on that mask. Oh, when you go in a restaurant, you better wear that mask. But when you sit down, you can eat because Covid knows when you’re eating it. That was really. I agree. But see that. But that’s why, being from the Twin Cities, Minneapolis area, I saw that on steroids for years. So I don’t particularly mind them coming in and kind of beating up these politicians because they beat up the people, destroyed people’s lives.

But I don’t like the bully tactics. And I think the bully tactics are happening with Greenland, which to me is. And around the world. But the Greenland thing is kind of at a whole nother level. Yeah, Greenland. How about. I mean, look what’s going on again. Are they going to ramp up war against Iran? Just a quick break from the program. Well, my understanding is they can’t. Right. Because if they ramp up war against Iran, then Israel is. Is at risk and they don’t want their ally to be destroyed. You’re 100% right. But they’re crazy people. They are. They’re not rational. Here again, you made it perfectly clear. Iran has 91 million people. These are the Persians. They’re very advanced scientifically, technologically and militarily. Israel has 7 million people. You don’t have to be good at math to figure this out. Here. If Israel loses, they go nuclear. Yeah, they have between 200 to 400 nuclear warheads.

And now they’re talking about. So you’re talking about Greenland. Oh, didn’t, didn’t Trump bomb Iran? Oh, this is also very important. When he bombed Iran, he did it on the weekend. When he kidnapped Maduro, he did it on the weekend when the equity markets were closed. They always do it on the weekend. You got it? Yep. And now there’s more talk. I just came off, went on before we went on the air. Looking at times of Israel, the IDF guy says we have to prepare for conflict with Iran. They’re ramping this thing up. So I’m very concerned about it.

Europe is ramping up more and more spending to fight Russia. Do you think that it could go nuclear or do you think they can contain it? No, we’re dealing with irrational people. Exactly. You made it perfectly clear. Like people say, why would they do this? You don’t ask why a person is crazy. Why is a wasted word. Why is it wasted? That is such a great quote. That is true. I mean they are crazy, they’re irrational. So you think that there’s a very serious risk of nuclear war. Now people were saying that when it came to Ukraine because we were dealing with a bunch of psychotics.

I mean that is a real psychotic situation too. But it never transpired into nuclear war. Do you think that this just, I mean, nuclear war just never happens and it’s because there’s enough smart or I should say rational people close to the button that they just say no way. Okay, you forgot about Nakasaki and Hiroshima. Well, that happened then. Yes. Yeah, nuclear atom bomb killed about 220,000 innocent people. But that was the first time. And do you think it’ll happen again? Because now people know what it is. Here you talk about crazy people. Not my language.

The guy that was a five star general, supreme commander of the allied forces in World War II and two term President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Google it up. He said any man seeking the office of president is either an egomaniac or crazy. His work, he was the president of Columbia University and they pushed him into running. And again, people don’t like eyes now for this or that. But you read some of his stuff. He warns the people at the military industrial complex is robbing the nation of the genius of the scientists, sweat of the labors and the future of the children.

Let’s go back to Trump. Yeah. Let’s go back to February of last year. I’m going to cut the military budget by $500 billion. Hey, what did he say last week? I’m going to increase the military budget by $500 billion to 1.5 trillion. As our. Oh, take the subway in New York City. A night in Calcutta. I’m in Kingston, New York. I’m 90 miles north. But I grew up in the Bronx. And anyway, I’m a New Yorker. Right across the river is a place called Rhinebeck, the Rhine Cliff Amtrak. I could drive from here to Montreal in 4 1/2 hours.

Take the train to Montreal from on Amcrap from Rhinecliffe, 10 hours up and 10 hours down. The roads are rotten, the bridges are rotten, filth in the streets, homeless everywhere. But we need war. I know. That’s just incredible. What is the deal? Do you agree with the war? The, the War Department versus the Defense Department? I kind of like, I actually, here’s the deal. I kind of like it because it tells it like it is. Oh, yeah? What do you think about it? I launched a movement over a decade ago called Occupy Peace. Occupy Peace.com and I have major rallies here each year.

I just had Judge Napolitano, Joe Laurier, Scott Ritter, Roger Waters did a lot zoom, Dennis Kucinich and others. So I, I fight for peace again. I, I read like George Washington’s farewell address. This is a guy that fought. He wants the American. He says to the American people, we do not become involved in these foreign entanglements. Basically, this crap has been going on for thousands of years and we’re not going to fix it. And he said, don’t love a nation or hate a nation because if you do, you become a slave to them. So that’s the way I stand on it.

Mind your own damn business. Bring home the troop. What do you got? 800 bases in 70 countries. Well, we have a base in Greenland and we’re part of NATO and so that’s not enough. Right. So it looks like the NATO alliance is disintegrating. He. He. By doing this, he would essentially be removing the United States from the NATO alliance, it sounds like. Which I approve, by the way. But you just don’t approve of that. I mean, you approve of removing from the NATO alliance, just not taking over Greenland in. Oh, you’re not taking their hand. You have no business.
