Good evening. This is the take your power back show and I gotta tell you, I’m so excited to be here. We are at the tail end of the California GOP first day and it has been an exciting day. I should just sit here right now with David Serpa. David is running for the golden state of California Governor and he’s been up against it. I mean, he’s had incredible conversations today with warriors across the space. Now, y’ all have seen David. David, he brings it. So, David, I want you to give us some insight today. You’ve seen a lot.

Yes, I am end of day one. So you, I can see you processing through it. So why don’t you give me the lowdown on kind of where you think we are? Because this state being taken, us taking our California back isn’t going to happen with one person. Correct? Correct. So why don’t you take it from there? No, I agree with you 100%. That’s a great way to set it up. You know, we really need an executive branch, we need a senate, we need an assembly. You know, we need to approach like a business. And if you walk into a business and you don’t fire a lot of the old thinkers, a lot of the do nothings, you don’t bring in a new group of people to come in and breathe life into it, then we’re dead before we get out of out the gate.

And so there’s a lot of really great people that are running, you know, that I’ve been having a lot of conversations with a lot of them, you know, about running for treasurer, controller, superintendent, public instruction, etc. And so the great thing today is there’s a lot of really great governor candidates that are here about an opportunity to speak in a couple of rooms with a few of them, especially the two front runners. And I see that there is jockeying right now within the Republican party where people are starting to figure out where they fit which is what’s really incredible.

That’s what’s so important with Proposition 50 being on the ballot in November, in us getting, you know, five additional months to file to run for office. You know, the deadline got extended to March all of a sudden. That gives us additional time to start finding the right people in the Senate, the Assembly and the executive branch. And that’s a lot of the conversations that happening here today. Yeah, that’s incredible. So how can we strategically do that? Let’s think about that for a second. So we have a window of opportunity, a window of time. Right? So we’ve got Steve Hilton pulling his crew together.

We got Bianca pulling his crew together. We got you pulling your crew together. That’s right. Leo Zaki pulling the crew. So everybody is kind of, you know, strategizing right now. I’m curious, are there any crossovers right now where you’re all going? Yeah, we all want this person in this position? No, there’s a couple of things that are really exciting that are happening. You know, I met a new gal that’s running for insurance commissioner today. I can’t remember her name right now, but I’m glad that she’s running. 30 years of insurance experience, you know, Herb Morgan has thrown his hat in for controller and I feel like, you know, there’s a lot of good, strong things about Herb.

But that being said, we don’t have the executive branch as a slate figured out yet because I don’t think that all of the right people have emerged yet. We need to recruit into this. You know, just figuring out where everyone fits while you’re working with whoever the cat drags in isn’t going to set us up for success. We need to also recruit into the Republican Party, into the executive branch, into the Senate, into the Assembly. People who are business leaders, church leaders, heads of non profits, community members and coaches, people that are willing to run for office.

Because if we just go with who we have right now, then not only are we not going to have enough people to run for office, but they’re not going to be in the right spots. I love what you’re saying. You know, Sonia Shaw is an example. You know, here’s this woman who was just fighting for her kids, going to the school board, standing up, speaking out. Now she’s running for state assembly, right? So there are so many parents or so many different people that are actually beginning to speak up, stand up. So I think there’s got to be a way that we, we pull them in.

And I think our showdown may be One of those ways I agree to bring them all together. And the time is pivotal because that is the countdown. Yeah. You get everybody at the table in November, like, you know, right around when I think it’s the week after the vote, maybe. Yes. And I think it’s 365 days from election day. Yes. Yeah. So it’s kind of funny the way that that works out. And so we do have time, but people are buying this narrative that we don’t have time. They also buy a narrative that they disqualify themselves.

Oh, I did this thing in 1992. Or, oh, I went through a divorce. Or, oh, I don’t really know that much about politics. But just like you said, Sonia is a great example of someone who came in, who didn’t have the political acumen, but said, you know what? I’m not willing to pass this state and this situation on to my children. I’m going to do something about it. Yeah, it’s really beautiful. I mean, you’ve got shoemaker who’s easily in his late 60s. You’ve got grandpas and grandmas who are like, I am going to do something right now.

I’m not going to stand by, let my state be taken from me. I want to leave a legacy for my grandchildren. So I think if we really continue to just increase, encourage, and inspire. And I think, honestly, David, you’re setting the stage for so many people right now. You’re all over social media. You’re everywhere. Thank you. I appreciate it. But what you’re doing is you’re leading by example, and this is igniting the people. They’re like, you know what? Wow. Wow. That really. That. That got me. That. That makes sense what David’s saying. I want to do something.

We’ve been kept so ignorant for so long. You know, you go through high school, you don’t learn anything about the executive branch, the legislative branch, and the judicial. You don’t learn about how government works, taxes. And so, you know, there’s a lot of stuff that we learn the hard way. But once we gather that information, all of these lessons that we’ve learned the hard way, now it’s on us to go and protect the next generation from having to go and learn everything the hard way. You know, one of the things that I’ve learned is, you know, I’m a real estate agent, and I jumped into real estate as soon as I got out of the Marine Corps, and I learned the way that mortgages work, and after a while of selling a lot of real estate, I started looking at, I think, do I believe in this anymore? Because I’m selling somebody a mortgage.

I’m not just selling them a home. I’m selling them a home loan. And so the three big things that comprise of a mortgage payment is, you know, your interest, you know, and God knows, the interest kills us. It’s our taxes, which we don’t even realize how much of our mortgage payments are going directly to taxes, and then our interest. And if you put one more thing on top of that, which is our insurance, which is. A lot of people have trouble even getting insurance. You look at a housing market that is begging to be revitalized. There needs to be a housing revolution so that we revisit the way that housing is done here in California.

You know, when’s the last time that somebody said, you know, my grandpa built this house. Right. So there’s a lot of really great opportunities, and there’s a lot of really great candidates that are starting to push this narrative forward. We just have to find the rights. I think he’s pretty polished. I think he’s probably highest IQ out of all of these other candidates. I would agree. Yeah, I would agree. Yeah. Detail. There’s a lot of really great people for a second. So we have a window of opportunity, experience. You know, Herb Morgan has thrown it crew together.

That’s right. That are really exciting being said into the Republican Party. This woman who was just fighting for her kids, going to the school board, standing up, speaking out. Now she’s running for state Assembly. Right. So there are so many parents or so many different people that are actually beginning to speak up, stand up. So I think there’s got to be a way that we. We pull them in. And I think our showdown may be one of those ways. I agree to bring them all together. And the time is pivotal because that is the countdown. Yeah.

Your interest, you know, and God knows, the interest kills us. It’s our taxes, which we don’t even realize how much of our mortgage payments are going directly to taxes and then our interest. And if you put one more thing on top of that, which is our insurance, which is. A lot of people have trouble even getting insurance. That’s right. You know, when’s the last time that somebody said, you know, my grandpa built this house? Right.

You know, so there’s a lot of really great opportunities, and there’s a lot of really great candidates that are starting to push this narrative forward. We just have to find the right. Okay, so we’re gonna pick it up where we left off. Okay. Where do we leave off? I have no idea. You know, we talked a little bit about the executive branch, people taking their power back at a local level. So we’re done. It’s the end of a long day. Okay, hold on. So I think we just finished up with people together. Just leave this in.

Okay. All right, here we go. We’re just gonna go for it. All right. All right. So, David, we were just talking about people taking their power back in the local house. Okay, Kim, you need to get some sleep. Okay. All right. So, David, we were talking about people taking their power back at a local level. Right. And so General Flynn pushes that out over and over. So what do you see possible? You know, you are leading the pack right now. You are standing up. We see you at the. Absolutely everywhere. So if people start standing up where they’re at, we’ll see in the next two, three, four, five years that now they’re running for waterboard.

Well, I’ll tell you what. I actually think that we could flip this entire state one election cycle. I think that if we get intelligent about it, that, you know, 180 days from now at the. At the primary. 280 days from now at the primary. Yeah. There’s going to be a lot of eyebrows that are shooting up. Yes. And then, you know, next November, because we have so much time to get organized, it’s just we’re going to have to be efficient. We’re going to be effective. We actually have to get out there and work for this. And.

But if we give people an alternative party platform to stand for, if we find some great candidates that people can get behind, I think that will flip a lot of these counties. I think that will flip. You know, we flipped 12 districts in the last election cycle, and they think that they’re going to gerrymander these districts in order to put the kibosh to that. I think it’s going to completely backfire on the Democrats. I think that they’re trying to gerrymander these districts. They’re giving us a bunch of D + 27 districts and then a few sweetheart Republican districts.

Yeah. All of a sudden, we’ll have a bunch of D +5 districts. Give me a D +5 district all day. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Give me a D +5. Did you hear about Paul Mitchell? Not Paul Mitchell, the hair. The hair guy. The hair guy. But Paul Mitchell, who behind the scenes, whose wife is connected to Planned Parenthood, who actually is the one that did the mapping. He did the mapping for this. Did you hear about that? I didn’t hear about that. I know that. That Cervantes was being asked who drew the maps. Yes. And she wasn’t giving an answer.

And that was. Right. So that’s wild. No, I didn’t know about that. All Mitchell, all connected to Planned Parent Hut. And you know what’s wild is people look at, they say, oh, well, California’s, you know, doing this stuff in Texas. California has been gerrymandering these districts for a long time. Very long time. And there’s been some sweetheart Republican districts for our Republican swamp creatures. And there’s been a lot of sweetheart Democratic districts for the Democratic swamp creatures. And so I think that if Prop 50 passes, we have a beautiful opportunity to primary everyone. And I didn’t stutter.

I said everyone with people that are new blood, that are going to represent this next generation. Because you can’t drain half of a swamp. You can’t flush half of a toilet. That’s not the way that it works. And so, you know, we have no integrity and no moral backbone if we say that we need to get rid of Pelosi, but we’re not willing to look at Graham and we’re not willing to look at McConnell or Calvert or a lot of these people that have been in there for 20, 30 years. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No moral integrity.

Her grandson is a grandson or nephew. Gavin Newsom. Oh, yeah. One big family. So there’s four big families that have been running the state of California for years. They’re all connected. Newsom, Pelosi, Brown, Getty. And those four families own so much of this state and have controlled the governor’s Office since the 1980s. And the follow the human trafficking follow the getting news after what happened under the getting new stuff. That’s the reality. Okay? I know this, that I just dropped something. We might take that out or keep it in. But the reality is this, there is deep corruption.

Okay. There are kids that are being trafficked as we speak. Correct. We know your plan. We already know that you, you are going to get rid of the sanctuary state. You have a plan in place right now for the kids. Operation Disrupt and Restore. Yeah, we’re gonna disrupt cartel operations and we’re gonna restore integrity here in California because drug trafficking leads to human trafficking and both of those things are happening out in the open. You know, we lose about a hundred thousand people every year to fentanyl overdoses. We should be ashamed of ourselves. That is a war that’s being fought and carried out in our streets.

And it’s been a one way war. We’ve been only on the receiving end of it. And the thing is, with all this drug trafficking, it’s not like what it was in the 1990s when there was the crack epidemic and the heroin epidemic. I remember growing up, I remember drug dealers in my communities and most of them rented a house. There was like a drug house and they paid their bills and they sold drugs. You know what I mean? It’s almost like a completely different world now. You have people overdosing on drugs in the streets and they’re so overdose that they’re bent over.

They’ve got that fentanyl bend. Yeah. And. And leaving defecation everywhere. And defecation and used needles and things like that. But not only that, they’re human beings being bought and sold like product in every major city in California. Which is why when people ask me about the Attorney General’s office and they say we need a great Attorney General, I can’t point to a single acting DA and say that they’re going to clean up the state of California if they haven’t already cleaned up their county. You know, you look at Orange, you know there are people being trafficked in broad daylight on fourth street, right.

You look at la, there are people being trafficked in broad daylight off of Figueroa. And a lot of this stuff is starting to be checked with ICE and with the federal deployment that Trump has been doing with the National Guard, there’s a lot of people that are very nervous and. But I think that there’s a great deal of shame that needs to be carried by our current local representatives in the state of California for being okay with human beings being bought and sold for sexual out in front of our children while they’re walking to and from school.

Okay, so I want you to take a look at every single candidate that’s running for governor right now. Do you see any one of those in particular who’s willing to actually fight for the children? That’s a great question. Daniel Mercury. Without question, I think Daniel would do it. I think that there are people that can be influenced to do it. But I know that Daniel Mercury, it’s on his heart because we’ve talked about it. Yeah. And you know, I’ve. I’ve put together these anti human trafficking coalitions where I’ve set up meetings between, you know, Pastor Dave of the Church of Glad Tidings and Matthew Kennedy.

I introduced them to Pastor Rudy and Pastor Laurie of CERT Ministries, which is an organization that I’m involved with that combats human trafficking. And these people are amazing people, they’re great people. But what we need to do is we need to start getting all of them involved together on the same page. We animate the California State Guard to go and start tackling some of this. There’s a unit that operates out of San Diego that’s essentially like a Navy SEAL unit of the California State Guard, which is beautiful. And then you federally deputize them with federal marshals so that no one can keep them out.

No one can say no. Because one of the number one issues that we have with human trafficking is when there’s intervention and a child is suspected of being involved in human trafficking, they automatically become a ward of the state in California, so the parenting rights are taken away from the parent and before that child can be returned to their parent, they have to go to CPS and they have to go to the state. And what they do is, the first thing they do is redo a card of them saying, you are not being held, you are free to go whenever you want to go.

And what happens? The first stop sign that they pull up to this 16 year old, 17 year old girl gets out of the car and they leave. A, because they want to go see mom and dad. Right. But B, some of these people are being chemically trapped in human trafficking. They’re addicted to drugs. And so the. And also they’re afraid of what’s going to happen to their family members. And so you have them running back into the arms of their pimps to be trafficked because they don’t want their cousin, their nephew, their little brother, their little sister being threatened with being trafficked.

David, love your heart. Love your heart. And this is an issue that. Is an issue that has to be dealt with. Yes. And I’ll tell you what, when people move into office, they have a list of the things that they’re gonna knock out. So I guess my question for you is like, where is this on the list? Oh yeah. Being dealt with. Oh, so this is number one for me because it’s slavery. You know, if you can’t take a stand against modern day slavery, you’re not willing to stand for anything. And there’s no, there’s no overlap between us.

And so if you’re not willing to take a stand against slavery, I think that that’s a pretty common sense place to stand. And so my whole place with being involved in this race, I want to change the narrative because like you said, is there anyone else who’s talking about human trafficking the way that I’m talking about human trafficking? No, there really isn’t. But if I could stay in this race long enough to where people are talking about human trafficking, they’re talking about real estate, they’re talking about drug trafficking, they’re talking about safety in our streets, you know, they’re talking about water and energy and a lot of these things that when I look at California being treated like a business and not like a bureaucracy, I think we don’t really need someone who’s going to run for government, who’s been involved in government for 30 plus years.

We need people who are going to come in as outsiders and who are going to bring in other outsiders to fix up the swamp that is Sacramento. Well, I love your plan, David. I appreciate that every time we sit together, you bring it. Thank you. And I know this is your probably your last interview tonight. Yeah. So in 30 seconds, your call to action to every single listener and viewer right now. I appreciate that. Run for office. You know, if nothing else that you hear, that you run away with anything else, run for office. The Senate, the Assembly, the Congress, city council, county supervisor, school board, we need you.

And this is not the kind of thing to where one man can save us. And if you’re looking at that, I would remind you to look at Arnold Schwarzenegger. I would remind you to look at this mentality of thinking that one man can go into Sacramento or D.C. and change it all. Trump learned in 2016 that one person cannot save us, that you cannot drain half a swamp, which is why he came in with everybody in 2024, with an entire administration to go in and get to work on day one. And so what I’m asking people to do is look at your representatives, find your representative, find your legislator, and whether you’re running for Congress, Senate, assembly, school board, county supervisor, city council, find a seat, get involved in this, the democratic process, help us save our republic.

Because we’re supposed to have 50 individual experiments where the individual is represented by their representative. And that’s not what what we have currently. We have a republic that has been purchased. We have people that have been sold out to the highest bidder. And until all of us get involved in this. And it is your responsibility just as much as it is mine. And it’s one of the things that Steve Bannon does a great job of. Yes. Hey, war room posse. If you’re going to go home and you’re going to check out and you’re going to give up and you’re going to, you know, take those three pins and put them on the counter, not do anything, then it’s your fault that California is the way that it is.

We cannot say it’s just the Democrats when the Republicans have not given a viable alternative party platform, viable alternative candidates. It’s just as much our fault that we haven’t stepped in to save the state as it is the Democratic Party. And so we need new blood. We need a new Republican Party. We need new candidates that are willing to stand up because you can’t fix an old problem with old thinking. Stand up, show up and speak up. You heard it. David Serpa, so appreciate you. Thank you for being a warrior that you are and vote for David Serpa for governor in the state of California.

We’ll see you guys back on the take your power back show soon. God bless. Thank you, David. Thanks, Kim. That was great. Dang.
