The 12-Days Of Christmas In Hawaii! (Big Island Farmer Shares Insights)

Aloha everyone! Here, Michelle Melendez here on the Big Island with Michael Tiavana. We got Santa in the background, got palm fronds, and our Christmas tree, and we’re going to be talking about the 12 Days of Christmas and also the solstice which is coming up. So Michael, thanks for joining me. Glad to be here. So you wanted, we wanted to start with the solstice and understanding the sun basically going down to the southern point, crossing over the southern cross, right? And then it stops for three days and then it comes back. So the dark, the light going and dying and then coming back.

So you want to… Yeah, that’s the summer solstice and now we’re in the winter solstice where it goes. On the 22nd of December, in the northern hemisphere, the sun stops moving and literally dies for three days and then comes back to life on the 25th, which is the birth of the next cycle. And they call it the yule tide because the sun is like the tidal waters but it’s the light tide and it goes back and forth. So we celebrate the solstice by having festivals of light because we want light in our lives.

And it’s not just about physical light, which we put lights on the tree, we put lights on our houses. People have these celebrations of lights in all the different cultures of the world this time of year in the northern hemisphere. In the southern exchange with each other when we greet each other, we’re kind to each other, we practice our virtues upon each other and that brings us light inside of us. Okay, so it’s an outside inside light thing going on right now and it’s really important to help us get through the dark times of our life and the dark times of the year.

And I just want to say a little bit about the Christmas tree. The pine trees, what they found was that the pine trees stayed alive during winter. So they actually, that’s why we use the pine trees in the house, they’re actually bringing life into the darkness of wintertime. And then the lights are again what Michael was saying, bringing the light into the house. And the lights were at first candles. Martin Luther, who was a priest back in the 1500s, is the one who brought in the candles, put the candles first on the Christmas tree for lights.

And then you want to talk about the 12 days of Christmas. Yeah, that’s the yule, which starts on the 13th of December, goes through this period of the changing of the tides. And we want to be in our best moods, want to be in our best blessings. Excuse me. The tree itself is our human connection to mother nature at the time when we need it the most in the middle of winter or when winter starts, that we have this tree here and we put presents under the tree because out in nature, this time of year, there’s presents under the tree called the Ammonita muscaria.

The Ammonita muscaria is a hallucinogenic mushroom, as you see here. And they go out and gather these presents and bring them into the house and then they have a ceremony and celebration. And the reason why there’s so much red and white around this time of year, you can see Santa right here is red and white is because of the mushroom is red and white. It’s red with white polka dots, really. And they’re very large. It’s very amazing to see them. And it’s what the reindeer eat that gives them the fuel to fly around the world, actually.

And if you have a few of them, you’d be seeing reindeer flying as well. You might even take flight. So the 12 Days of Christmas is a celebration and a practice of our virtues, our virtuous selves. And where we’re at now, halfway through is the Festival of Lights. We turned on the lights on our tree last night. Got it. It was an alien party. So we do have aliens on the Christmas tree because we had an alien party last night to celebrate the Three-Eyed Atlas being in our solar system. The Third-Eyed Atlas is here.

NASA calls it Three-Eyed Atlas. And they call it a comet. And it has life on it. It has intelligence. It stops. It moves. It changes course. It’s communicating with us. And that is kind of exciting for a lot of the scientists around the world. And hopefully, well, we formed a committee last night of aliens to help the aliens get through ice so they don’t get deported back to Arcturus or Sirius. Where were they coming from? Pleiades. Pleiades. Choose your favorite star system. That’s where they’re coming from. So all the starseeds, if you’re a starseed, are very excited right now to welcome them in at this time of year, at this time in the human evolution.

And basically, they’re telling us to take all the bad things from the past, all of our vices, just let that stuff go. Let it go. Embrace your new self, which is your new virtuous self, your self that hugs each other, loves each other, and is kind to each other. And along the way, we celebrate these virtues. So one of the virtues I like to talk about is beauty. Beauty is one of the main great virtues. And we do this at this time of year by dressing up for each other, by putting out little knickknacks that show our culture and our customs, gift giving.

Here’s the gifts he has on his shoulders. Gift giving actually was also part of Saturnalia, which was a Roman holiday. So it’s all been put together, you guys. Here’s another image of Santa. He’s got a satchel of gifts to give away. So if everybody practices charity, which is another great virtue, we’re just better off. And we bring back the light. So by giving each other gifts, we bring back the light. And beauty is really important because the appreciation of beauty is the doorway to heaven. And so we can live a heavenly life here on earth, heaven on earth, Kalani Onua, and feel the blessings of life and enjoy life, makes us happier, gives us more purpose, gives us more meaning.

And that’s the beauty of it. And also connection with other life forms, berries, elves, nymphs, crickets, turkeys, turkeys. We got turkeys here on the farm, turkeys, ducks, chickens. It’s been fun. So we’re just sending you guys so much Aloha. And thinking about being kind to your family, your friends, letting go of stuff that doesn’t serve, and also a lot of forgiveness, forgiveness for yourself, forgiveness for others. It’s really important time to do that. And get off the news, get off the scariness, because that frequency is not, that is what the powers that they want us to have.

But when we stay in love and forgiveness and community, that’s where we all want to go. Every person on the planet wants to be happy. They want to feel love. They want to have their children safe. They want to feel abundant. And we just focus on that and bring that back to the planet. Yeah, everybody has their role to play in this scenario of letting go of the past and embracing the future. You can watch the news, but watch it, observe it. Observe the mind control in it. Don’t take it personal. Yeah, don’t get caught up in the fear.

Remember to choose between fear and love and your decisions and make the decision, is this loving or is this fear-based decision that I’m making here in my life? Because we’re all being asked to make a lot of decisions every day, big and small. And that’s the question to ask, because you have that choice. And another thing to remember as far as the news goes is the virtue of truth. Truth is one of the major great virtues. And so we’re watching it. And to see, are we really letting go of this? Is it really? And I think the news is making nonsense of things like war.

It’s making nonsense. It’s making nonsense normal, is what it’s doing, is making nonsense normal because propaganda has been going on since ancient times, you guys. This is how they do things. So that’s why another thing is, like you said, it’s like truth. Look at it from a different perspective and see behind it, see what’s behind it. How long have they been saying war with Russia? I’m like, oh my gosh, they’re still saying that because I don’t watch the news and somebody was talking about it. And I was like, they’re still saying that. It’s all propaganda, you guys.

They’re all in on it together. Yeah, propaganda has been around since Romans put out the first newsletter on Google. Yeah, it’s ancient. So yeah. Well, it is by design and they have been doing this, at least since the even the 1700s, when they were putting out the information about America and British soldiers and all that stuff, it was by design. But anyway, look at it with a skeptical eye and then get back into the love vibe and be kind to your neighbors. And keep drinking organic coffee. It really peps up the day. You get a lot more done.

Don’t drink that inorganic coffee. That’s true. Take care of your body. That’s another part of our kuleana is to take care of our bodies. Heal your gut lining, detoxes, cleanses, organic food as much as possible, and do something fun. You brought organic food. Get with your friends. Be silly. Have fun. Let’s pray. Okay. All right. Great spirit, infinite intelligence of all things. We’re so grateful for this time, this beautiful sun that’s going across the planet right now, the tides running in the ocean. And right now, we just feel the frequency of connection with community.

We call that in right now. We remember the time of laughter. We remember dancing and just having just a really great time with our family and our friends. And great spirit, we send that frequency of joy and of connection. We send it out to all the Hawaiian islands, to the mainland, to Canada, to Mexico. We send the frequency that all children are safe. We send the frequency that this world can be at peace and in harmony together. We send this to Gaza, to Israel, to China, to Ukraine, to Australia, New Zealand. We let it wrap around the planet, great spirit.

This frequency of light, light that overwhelms the darkness, the frequency of love that is more powerful than any evil ever that has ever existed. We send this frequency of love to all of the leaders around the world, that their hearts be turned to doing what is right for the people, or they be peaceably removed from power. And we get to watch the movie unfold as this world becomes a better place, because so many people are saying no more to lies. And they’re standing up for what is real and what is true. And what is true and what is real is love, is connection, and is entrusting in you, great spirit, knowing that our birthright is abundance.

And just like we cannot breathe all of the air, all of the oxygen on the planet, that abundance comes to us all the time in ways we know and in ways we don’t know. Great spirit, we are so grateful that we get to watch the world become a better place as harmony, as truth, as sovereignty, as freedom comes back to the people and lights up the planet. We get to watch the movie unfold that brings this truth to each person on the planet. We get to watch it and it is done, and so it is.
