I believe he’s on the right path. But folks, there’s going to be some hell to pay. And as banks begin to crumble and fail under the Dodd Frank law of they can keep your retirement if it’s associated with the bank. They can keep your savings, your checking, anything you have in the bank they can take the only reason they haven’t because they want you to keep coming back and putting your money in the bank.
But if they see the end coming for their bank. Katie, bar the door. This is why I’m telling you precious metals investment are the best investment out there today. Gold has gone up 1100 percent in the last 18 months. Could you do any better? No. And also too they can get Noble Gold can get your retirement out of the bank, put it in your control and back it with precious metals instead of relying on a failing dollar in a corrupt institution that can steal your your retirement. So let me give you the way to get information.
Go to Dave HodgesGoal.com Dave HodgesGoal.com Put in your email. We don’t sell your data. I will never do that. And I’ll send you out an electronic information docket and, and you’ll see in there it’s about page and a half and it reemphasizes what I told you with more detail and it has Noble Gold’s number on it. And you call Noble Gold final statement about Noble Gold, they will make you close your own deal. They are trained not to push you into anything. I’ve been a customer for over seven and a half years, been an advertiser for eight and a half years and the federal government wants me to tell you there’s no guarantees.
We totally agree with that warning. But that warning should hang over every entrance to every bank in America. So, Dave Hodges, gold dot com. Mike Kerr, you’re the watchman. Mike, I brought you on. I want to talk about a couple specific things, but I just did a piece that’s going to go out on my podcast for tomorrow and I put some of it up on YouTube as a teaser. And it’s basically about. You can be manipulated with frequencies, but we have an antidote. And without even referencing what I just said, the antidote is prayer. And I’d like you to talk for a minute about the power of prayer.
Let’s compare notes. Well, sure. First of all, Dave, thank you for having me on today. It’s always a pleasure to be with you. Yeah, same here. Same here, my friend. You know, it’s interesting that you brought that up because on our zoom fellowship tonight we have a guy talking about frequencies and the power of prayer, which was very timely. Your kid. What time is that? It’s at 7 o’ clock central. And if you just drop me an email, just go to our, go to our website, click the contact button, drop me an email. I’ll send you the link if you want to be on it tonight.
Do you archive these at all? Pardon me? You archive these? Yeah, so I, I, I do archive them. I, I record all of them and hold on to them. So if you want, I’ll send you them and, and you could put it out, Mike, I will put this out. It ties exactly into what I just covered earlier today. Yeah, I mean, he’s an amazing guy. He will be speaking at the conference. But we’ll get it, we’ll get into that. Oh, he, what’s his name? Kenny C. He and I are going to become really well acquainted. It’s.
His last name is spelled S, E A Y, but it’s pronounced Kenny C. But he’s really interesting and he’s really into the frequency thing. But, you know, it’s, people ask me all the time about the power of prayer. We just completed for our Tuesday night spiritual warfare training, a whole thing about the power of prayer. And Tracy Tennant kind of led it and put it together. And, you know, there’s different types of ways to make that prayer effective. You always have to pray. You have to pray by yourself. You have to have community prayer where you pray with others and you have to have a community altar where you bring everybody to pray.
You know, people always think that faith is going to church on Sunday and it’s not. It doesn’t matter whether you go to church or not. Faith is following Jesus and following the Bible. That’s faith. You know, when someone has faith, they run into a situation that seems insurmountable, and they say to themselves, well, Lord, I trust you is way too much for me. I trust you. And you go with that. You know, it takes practice. But, you know, Dave, I have witnessed over the past 10 years some phenomenal results from prayer where people lay hands on each other and they’ve been healed.
You know, my wife has had that happen with injuries that she has had. And it doesn’t have to be in person. I mean, she did it one time. She was hurt her ankle in a park when we lived in California and couldn’t walk home and didn’t have her cell phone. And somehow someone loaned her a phone so she could call me. And she called this other girl. You don’t ever want to give Jeannie a phone. But she called this other sister of hers who prayed, and she was able to get up and walk home. You look at Jamie Walden and his son Finn, There’s a movie out now.
I can’t off the top of my head remember it, but Jamie and his son were down at the store, and his son decided to go crawl up a tree while Jamie was in the market and fell out of the tree and was severely injured. And, I mean, it was really scary. And through prayer, Jamie. Jamie reached out to the Lord in prayer, laid hands on his son, and as a result of that, he took his son back. And they wanted to. They wanted to med his back his son to Denver or something like that. You know, Jamie’s well versed on all this stuff.
He’s been a medic and all that. And he resisted. And he went back to the doctors and they said, well, I don’t know what’s happened, but the problems with his brain have gone away. His back is healing, and today the kid is like a normal kid. Yeah, I mean, he’s just. I, I remember that so well. I. I was one of the guys that tried to raise money for Jamie because we anticipated the Aravac and the really lengthy medical expenses. And thank goodness that didn’t happen to the degree it could have happened. But there were a lot of us who prayed for him and some resources just so he could get the best care possible for his son.
So, yeah, I. I remember that very well, and thank God that came out to a great conclusion. But the power of prayer, Absolutely. Let me share a quick anecdote with you. When I was in graduate school the first time for my first on, for my first graduate degree, I came across these studies on the power of prayer. And unfortunately, there’s not enough of them where you can say definitively we can say that, but the trend curve is strong and it demands more research. But universities will never fund this research and never will the government, at least the previous government, maybe Trump’s people eventually will.
But here’s what they found. They would divide control group, experimental group up and same conditions. So let’s say hypothetically, San Francisco hospital, heart disease patients, prognosis, 6 months lifespan expected in that facility, then go to Houston, same condition, same prognosis. Okay? Now what they did was the control group was in San Francisco, and you don’t pray for them. The. The experimental group that you pray for is in Houston. And you pray for first name, last initial, and the condition. And what they found when they did this experiment multiple times was the experimental group, the group that was prayed for had at least double the survival rate, many times, many more than that, the survival rate as the people not prayed for.
So ethically, they felt they had to come back and undo some of the experiment. They prayed for the people they didn’t pray for previously, being the good Christians that they were. We just need more research. But science has actually crossed over and showed validity of prayer. Well, you know, it’s, it’s irrefutable. I mean, it, it truly is and increases exponentially when you do it with someone else, when there’s two gathered or more. Now, you know, I get comments from people and questions from people all the time of, well, how do I know God’s going to actually do something? And it’s like, well, what do you have to lose? You know, I mean, look at your, Your, your husband, your wife, your kids are in serious, serious trouble.
So is it really going to hurt anything if you pray? You know, and so you just do it. You know, we have become as Christians in the remnant body, especially over the course of maybe the last three after that flu bug have become just riddled with apathy. And apathy is going to kill us. The, the. Oh, well, I don’t want to get off the couch and go pray on my knees. You know, I’ll just watch someone on TV do it and pray with them. Not. Not going to work, you guys. You have to take the actions.
You all know the biblical scripture, faith without works is dead. You know, so you have to do the footwork to make it happen. And you know, Dave, we, on our Tuesday night meeting, the spiritual warfare. As a group, we pray for individuals we prayed for you and your wife as you were going down this path, you know, And I don’t know if it helped, but it doesn’t matter, you know, if it does, it does. And the other thing that’s interesting is as you grow older, you get this a little bit more. If you pray for something and it.
It’s not necessarily happening in your life right now, the prayer doesn’t go away. The prayer outlives you. So it’s out there. You never know when it’s going to boomerang back and be answered, you know? So I guess my advice. God’s time is not our time. That’s one of the things that I’ve learned. Yeah. And sometimes there are lessons that God needs to teach us before we’re bestowed a blessing. And, yeah, it’s not all. It’s not all sugar and spice, as they say. You have to go through some pretty tough stuff to learn, and I found that out.
And. But you’re right. God doesn’t. If you are true to the Lord, he’s always true to you. It’s just not necessarily in the time frame or necessarily in the way that you think. You know, who really captured this, and I’m not a fan of his because of his belief system, but Garth Brooks wrote a song called thank God for Unanswered Prayers, and. And a failed relationship led to the better relationship down the road. And there’s wisdom in that. When you apply that to prayer. Yeah. Well, you know, it’s like, look, we all tend to go to Jesus and pray when it hits the fan.
I mean, you know, when you’re in trouble, you can’t pay a bill. You. Your car is broken down. You know, you go to. You go to Jesus and you say, oh, Lord, please fix my car. Well, you know what? He doesn’t do that. You know, if you go to Jesus, just say, lord, I’m. I just am overwhelmed. Please help me right now. You know, that’s. That’s how you get over all of it. And, you know, people ask me, Dave, all the time, well, how do I pray? I’m like, what do you mean, how do you pray? Well, do I have to close my eyes? Do I have to get on my knees? I said, listen, in my opinion, God doesn’t care how you pray.
He just wants you to pray. Now, if you want to get on your knees, that’s awesome. If you want to close your eyes, that’s even off, more awesome. To me, it lets me concentrate and feel the prayer. But do what you do Whatever you do, just pray, you know, and, and Dave, it’s, it’s. With everything going on, we talked about a little bit, you know, people right now, I believe, are just confused. I mean, and they’re just like, well, what do I pray for? All this stuff is going on in the world. Which one do I attack? You know, what you do is you pray for the righteousness of Jesus in all affairs, in everything that’s coming down.
You let him run the show. It’s very difficult to understand when you see what’s going on in Pakistan and India and the Ukraine and in Palestine. It’s very hard to understand. Where’s God in all of this? Well, I can tell you where God’s at. God gives us free will to screw things up. Yeah. And we do a really good job of it. We excel at that. We get an A plus on that. And, and that’s very true. You know, but remember, it’s not about the semantics or the rituals of Christianity. It’s about your relationship with Jesus.
That’s what’s important. You know, everybody watches this whole thing with the Pope. You know, I mean, I’m sure they’re, they’re going to serve Chicago deep dish pizza at the Vatican tonight. You know, it’s like a big deal, you know, and it’s. He’s still just a man, you know, and I know, I hear you, I hear you. But you know what? I don’t disperse anyone’s belief, particularly when Jesus can enter into the picture. You know, these, these intramural differences between, say, Catholics and someone of my faith, I don’t besmirch them, because at the center of it all, at the end of the day, it’s the Ten Commandments, it’s Jesus, it’s the Virgin birth, it’s redemption, forgiveness and grace, and then the Resurrection.
That’s. That’s what it’s all about. You nailed it right there. Yeah. That’s why, you know, people say, well, Catholicism. I said, I don’t get involved in that. I said, we’re all. I said, my interpretation of my faith. When people who think like me is still going to be different than the person next to me who thinks like me. Because we’re individuals with different viewpoints and we get so, so fixated on the differences that we don’t see the forest for the trees. Yeah, well, I mean, you know, my line is always, if you put 10 Christians together in the room and ask them their opinion on something within the Bible, you’d probably get a hundred different opinions out of 10 people, because it’s personal, you know, and.
And that’s the thing with religion. I mean, I don’t care if you’re Catholic, Protestant, Methodist. You know, I grew up. My parents, you know, God love them. I was raised in whatever the church that looked best was. So as Episcopal, Presbyterian, Methodist, Methodist, whoever had the best youth group, that’s where I got sent, you know, So, I mean, I have a really open opinion regarding, you know, the different churches out there. It just doesn’t matter to me. I’m not going to get sucked down. I hear you. To me, when you buy into these intramural disputes, you get distracted and taken away from what you should be focusing on.
Yeah, I hear you. I hear you. Exactly. And along those lines, you’re going to help people get focused in the month of August. Well, we’re certainly going to give it our best. It’s the remnant rising 2025. It’s a conference being held in Springfield, Missouri, which is very easy to get to. Springfield is a delightful airport to deal with. And the conference, we’re holding it at the Oasis Hotel and Conference center right in Springfield. It’s a wonderful property, two stories, very friendly. Free breakfast every morning. Room rates are great. They’re like 1:19 a night. And if we shuttle to and from the airport, restaurants nearby.
But here’s the key thing about a hero. The Washington Conference. Conference. We’re not. And Dave can attest to this, we are not like other conferences. It’s not about you going in and sitting in a room for 10 hours a day and listening to people on the stage talk. It’s about fellowship. We focus heavy on the fellowship. We will have people there who are experts in the field of healing, prayer. So if you have something that is. We’ll have a special room where they can go in and speak with someone about healing. We got a great lineup, too.
The whole conference is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Thomas Horn. Obviously, you guys probably all know him, but he started Skywatch. And Tom changed my life. I had a chance. I had a chance to go out and do a show with Derek and Gilbert first. Derek and Gilbert. Derek and Sharon Gilbert out in Crane, Missouri. And it was our second year, and we went out there and Tom Horn wanted to meet me, and I. I didn’t really know much about him. Jeannie did. And I’d look at pictures of me. Scared me to death. I mean, he just always looked angry and.
And so anyway, we. We met and Tom and Nita and Jeannie and I went out to dinner and Hung out up at the ranch and he changed my opinion. I was at a point then where I wanted to shut down here, the Watchman, because I was tired of people attacking me. For you had, you know, a Baptist and a Pentecostal on the same stage. You had, you know, Dave, Coach Dave, Dobbenmeyer, use Satan hand signals, you know, and I was tired. You’re kidding. They said that about a coach Dave. Oh, crazy. You know, and I. I asked Tom how.
How in the world do you deal with this? And he said, pretty simple. He said, you get one of those emails, you market, you hit control, alt, delete, spam, and you never talk to him again. Yeah, there you go. Exactly. Because what they want is a fight. So anyway, yeah, don’t give him energy. I. I totally agree with that. Yeah, it’s all negative. And so he helped me throughout the years as we built here, the Washington. And then he passed away, which was just, you know, it was hard on all of us. His son Joe really stepped up to the plate and is.
Is doing a great job there. And his wife Nita’s doing a great job carrying on the legacy of Whispering Ponies Ranch. Well, at the conference, we want to not only honor Tom, but we want to honor the Horn family for all they’ve given over this time. Because I’m going to tell you, and you know, Dave, it is not easy. And we have, speaking at the conference, Joe Horn, Nita Horn, Donna Howell, you know, all part of the family. Then we have Derek and Sharon Gilbert, Jamie Walden, Kenny C. Pastor, Paul Begley, Kevin Shipp, which is a CIA insider.
He’s got a book out that’s just. It’s been. It’s done great. I mean, what he went through is incredible. We have of none other than Dave Hodges, who always bring something just insane to the group. Randy Conway, Heidi Begley, pastor, his wife, Vicki, Jordan Anderson and Tracy Tennant. And as I said, we focus a lot on the fellowship. There are people who met people at our first conference that are still. They’re like, live in different countries and they’re still good friends. That’s the way it. That’s the way this work. It’s about building connections within the remnant body to carry you through the times like now.
I couldn’t agree with you more. And this is why I always look forward to coming back. And many of the people you just mentioned are speakers have been guests on my show. So I’m sure my audience is saying, oh, yeah, yeah, I’ve heard Derek and share it, but great. In fact, I just played an interview with Derek. Gosh, maybe two months ago. Sharon was on late last year, and Jamie’s been on my show a ton through the years, so. Yeah, we’re big fans. We’re big fans. My family is. I so look forward to coming. And you’re right about Springfield.
I used to speak in Branson, and so you’d have to fly into Springfield and get down the 40 miles to Branson and. And the. But the airport is really easy to navigate. No, not. It’s not like flying out of DIA or Phoenix Sky Harbor. It’s really easy to. To manage, and the rates going in there are pretty good. The only thing is flying. I’ll be flying out of Phoenix and I don’t have a direct flight, so I go Phoenix to Dallas, catch up another plane, and we head on over. That’s the worst that happens. But they’re good flights.
Yeah, that’s. If you’re from the west, that’s exactly how you normally get there. Yeah, exactly. If you’re coming from the east, it can be a little different, but it’s one stop, and then you hop on a commuter jet and you’re in Springfield. You know, once you get there, like I said, we have that free shuttle. All you do is call the hotel and say, we just arrived. And they’ll. The shuttle will be there and it’s only 15 minutes to the hotel. So there’s, again, there’s a lot of time to meet, you know, Dave Hodges, to meet the Horns, to meet Jamie Weldon.
That’s an experience. You know, it’s. It’s just. It’s. It’s. I mean, it’s different. You know, to get, to get more information about it, all you have to do is go to our website, www.ohear the watchman.com and on Sunday afternoon, we have kind of a unique little trip that we’re working on, which will release soon. That’s a lot of fun that you can all go to. So the hotel itself will honor the discounted rate, which is insane for a hotel like this from, like the week before until like three days after the conference. So if you want to make a vacation out of it, there you go.
Come out, look around. Like Dave said, Branson is not far at all. You know. No, I want to say this, too, about the conference. There are tables and some people, you know, they’ll. They’ll have their books available if they’ve written them. I. I won’t be bringing any books, but a lot of people like me hang out at the tables, just so we can talk to the people. Well, some of it. I want to hear the other speakers because they’re fascinating, and you mentioned some people here. It’s like an all star lineup. And. But the thing I always hang out is because you never know what fate is going to bring you and how God’s going to use you.
Because when people come to your table and you interact with them and talk to them, you never know what they’re going to give to you or what you’re going to give to them. And when you talk about the fellowship, for me, that’s where a lot of my fellowship took place, was I would just sit at the table that was designated for the Common Sense show, and people come up and talk to me. And, and you’re absolutely right, Mike. The fellowship there is absolutely unparalleled. So it’s, it’s a. I would say you’re going to get your intellectual curiosity satisfied with good presentations, but you’re also going to have the ability to have a spiritual experience.
And I speak, you know, from personal experience on this. What are the dates for the dates of the conference? I don’t think we mentioned that, Mike. One of the dates. One of the. Oh, I’m sorry. August 22nd through the 24th. Okay. We’re asking people to come in on the 21st, and, you know, we’ll all be around there. Jeannie and I are going into Springfield on the 19th and departing on the 25th. Okay. So, you know, and Dave, people ask me all the time, what’s your favorite part of the, of the conference? I mean, don’t you love the speakers? Like.
And my answer is always, absolutely love the speakers. But my favorite part, truly, is when I stand in the back of the room or I go out to where the breakfast is served or during the breaks, and I hear the buzz. I hear everybody talking to one another. That floats my boat. Yeah. You know, because then I’ve done what the Lord asked me to do when he asked me to do here, the Watchman. So it’s a wonderful time for all of us, you know, and I hear you, too. It’s humbling, too. And I got to tell you something.
I, I, I, I live in my own bubble, kind of. You know, I have my studio here that I’m in right now. And so I, and I don’t do live shows, you know, unless I’m being interviewed. But I just, I do pre records on everything. And so I don’t get a lot of interaction with the public, you know, other than Email and then as I get to know people. But other, I don’t get much interaction. And when you’re there, it’s kind of interesting because I hate being looked at as a celebrity. And, and I think that that can create a barrier between what someone has to offer in their message and connecting with the audience, you know, and God.
I’ll tell you, I’ve learned this the hard way. Never, never, never be arrogant people. Because God’s knocked me down a couple of rungs a couple times in my life when I forgot that lesson. And the, one of the things that I will say to people is this, is that when we’re at this conference and I’m talking the presenters, I don’t ever recall seeing haughtiness or arrogance or anything like that. It’s people connecting with people. And because someone’s a presenter and then you’re talking to them, it’s just two Christians talking. And, and I really want to emphasize, it’s really, this is a conference for the common man.
Is I how I would describe it? Yeah. And, and you know, the people will come up to me with something, a situation, something going on in their life and ask me for advice and I’ll say, you know what? I, I know someone better. Let’s go talk to Jamie Walden. Yeah. And the response will be, oh, I don’t, Jamie’s like, he’s so involved with that. He, he wouldn’t have time for me. You’re exactly the person that Jamie has time for, let me tell you. Yeah, yeah. See, I know Jamie personally, so I kind of laugh when you said that because that Jamie’s the opposite of that.
Oh, totally. Derek and Sharon, the opposite of that. Totally. Yeah. So I and Paul Begley, same thing. I’ve gotten to know Paul from being at the conference. Now I, I participate in his virtual conference every year. I love Paul and Heidi Begley. They are so sincere about helping people come to the Lord and deepening faith and they are outstanding at that. I gotta tell you folks, I asked Mike to come on because I said, Mike, we need to push this out there because this is really can be a life changing experience. It’ll be a lot of fun.
And for you people in my audience speaking to you personally, I would like to meet you. I mean I get the comments I’ll get on YouTube or emails from my podcast and it’s not the same. I’d like to be able to meet you and I hope you can come here. The watchman. Me N. Right. Yeah, it’s. Make sure I get that right here, the watchman.com. and it’s the 22nd through the 24th in Springfield, Missouri. And I’ll tell you, it’s. It’s dirt cheap. Transportation in there is not costly. You’re not going to New York City and, and I have to tell you, you’re going to have the experience of your life.
I, I’ve just, I’ve made so many great connections there. Mike, I appreciate you coming on. Give my love to Jeannie. She’s one of my favorite people. I gotta tell you, you guys are a dynamic duo. You’re. You remind me of my wife and myself. We’re different, but we have this connection together. And, and, and I see that in you and Jean. You bring strengths to the table and your conferences are always top rate and I appreciate you making me a part of it. I’m indeed humbled and honored to be on it. And by the way, for your weekly stuff, send me a couple of open dates.
I’ll look at that calendar because I do want to come on. And just as a personal note, I want to hear what Mr. C has to say. So I’ll be asking you for an archive because I can’t, I can’t attend because I’ve got to take my wife to pt and then, and then I’ve got an interview with a guy in Europe after that that I can’t change. Yeah, I’ll send you one. No problem. Thank you for, for having us on. Folks, August is going to be here before we all know it. Get busy. Change your life.
Come out and get to know all of us. And we’ll never let you down. Yeah, sign up, come meet us. I mean, I really want to meet my audience and I’m always Dave. I’ve listened to you for 10 years and I’ll hear that when I go to a conference, you know, and it’s so humbling, you know, that someone would follow my work for any length of time. And then you just get to know them as people, you know, it’s, it’s just, it’s as amazing experience and no celebrity arrogance at this place, I promise. This ain’t the Oscars, okay? This is just about good people sharing the word of Jesus.
Mike, thanks for coming on, my friend. Always a pleasure to talk to you, Dave. Thank you.
