And I’ll give you an example and I really recognize something local and humble and related to food production is pretty much going to be a guarantee. You know, so for me, I’m actually looking at raising rabbits and selling and trading for rabbit meat. I’m also looking at these other animals are called kui. A little bit easier to produce than rabbits and they grow on better forage. That’s just me and I can grow that in a in a in basically in my part-time. I’ll probably be doing lots of other things but it’d be a good viable business and food food’s gonna be important and meat is always a good high-priced item and especially clean meat hasn’t been jacked up with everything that the food supply does.

Remember reading one of these survival genre fiction stories and this guy had a pretty good living with a yeah he had a I don’t know if it was a bicycle powered generator and he was recharging batteries for people you know you know it could be simple things like that it could be you know if you’re good with solar you know maybe it may be uninstalling solar systems that people have purchased and they can’t afford anything you know they need that money for something else you know they think there’s a lot of skills if you’ve been interested in health and healing and you know herbalism there’s there’s a whole bunch of stuff that needs to be done with herbs in terms of like producing the herbs processing the herbs making the medicines being the practitioner that you know helps people decide what medicine they need you know and if you’re already you know you’re already in the medical system I know you’re a nurse emergency room nurse or something like there’s no reason you couldn’t create a small little you know medical station remember reading different stories from people during the collapse of the Soviet Union and like school teachers would just you know basically open up a small school in their living room and and you know teach people’s kids in exchange for whatever so you want to be thinking about that you want to get ready now if you I mean you know right now that may not be mine or might not be working but it will I promise you and you want to get kind of go like well what am I gonna do what do I really enjoy I’ve got a friend of mine who’s um technical writer for just the biosciences or something like that and she loves plants and she’s like yeah well I’m gonna have a little business producing plant starts I love it I’m gonna do that off the road here is he coming this way no so she’s collecting all the little pots and she’s you know making compost and collecting soil and you know looking around getting the seeds for the different things like what everybody wants it tomatoes and cucumbers and um you know getting her the work benches set up and the planting and potting benches set up and actually growing a few out and selling a few from time to time at the farmers market you know getting some pliers together you know it’s starting to let people know on a very small scale that this is what she’s doing so that’s it yeah so what business are you gonna be in what are you gonna be doing right I know these are kind of small and local and but you know honestly they’ll be pretty meaningful and you may may have bigger visions it can take a long time though before we can really create regional stuff and and larger so I think maybe just having something small and absolutely essential and practical might be just something to focus on and work on anyway the idea is what are you going to be doing post collapse what’s going to be your value and contribution to people you know instead of playing video games whatever it is that people do now to occupy themselves all right this is Marjorie and I will be talking to you soon
