When you send your kids to school, you are the constituent. You vote for the school board members and in states you vote for the title varies, but basically it’s the state superintendent of education. And you may even have a county superintendent of education. You have elected school board members. It’s a grassroots process. You have nothing at the federal level. You have no control and that’s what leftist bureaucrats want. They want to do with your kids what they want, turn them into how they want them to turn out and they don’t want to leave it to you, the parent.

This is why you have no recourse on this whatsoever. I don’t even trust state boards of education. And I’ll be honest with you, parents, you have the authority and when a school board member or members get out of line and violate moral codes or whatever they violate, you have the right to remove them. You don’t have to wait for a new election. Recall them. Get them out. You have the right to go have your three minutes at every school board meeting. Can you threaten them? Of course not. And you shouldn’t use profane language, but you have the right to address any topic you want.

Of course, unless you’re in Surprise, Arizona, you go to a city meeting. They’ll haul you out for calling out finances, but that is being litigated and it’s going to be litigated successfully for the plaintiff. Now, on this situation with school boards, can’t do it. Now we saw heinous examples in Virginia, in Loudoun County, where parents were taken to jail for protesting abuse of their kids. Okay, that day has changed and there’s a new sheriff in town that ain’t going to happen. Yeah, but I want to show you something in another state and you’re going to say, holy crap, Batman, I can’t believe this is going on.

Believe it because if you don’t stay vigilant, it’s going to happen. In your state, in your school, to your kid. We’re going to show you. You’re looking, you’re watching visually, if not just audio, I’ll describe it for you. A school committee, education committee meeting. And one of their members is speaking up here and this is so disgusting that there’s hardly words to describe it. And we’re going to take apart what this authoritarian despot is telling this committee that they should do, which is basically to outlaw parental participation and having any say in the education process. Let me remind you, most of us, including even you younger people under 45, you grew up in a time when there was parent-teacher association, PTA, right? Correct? And I’ve served, when I was a high school teacher, I served on curriculum committees with administrators, fellow teachers, and parents.

And I walk on their participation. What do you think it’s important that these kids get? If we have these 10 things and we can only teach five, what should be the five? And we used to hash this out and parents had an equal voice in this as they should. It’s their tax dollars. They’ve elected the school board officials and it’s their kids. But that’s not the philosophy in New Hampshire. Okay, here we go. If you’re sending your kid to public school and we’re following the academic standards adopted by the school board and the curriculum for our class, there’s got to be some level of trust or perhaps, you know, maybe…

Well, like in Virginia and Loudoun County, they weren’t following school board policies. And things were being kept from the public and they weren’t even responding to FOIA requests, Freedom of Information Act for documents and so forth. Okay, and kids were even being told to keep things from their parents. So, when you say curriculum adoption, that’s a parental input aspect and process. Do you understand what I’m telling you? Maybe you should have chosen to send them to a different school. So, if you’re a parent and you want input and you object because the standards that were adopted with parental input were just for show.

And when those standards get violated and the school tries hard not to disclose this, if you don’t like it, go to a private school. Can you believe this? I mean, this is right out of Bolshevik communism. This is Stalinist philosophy. Our way or the highway. They ain’t your kids. We’re going to do what we want. These people are ridiculous. It’s hard. And this is why Trump wants school choice. Right here. You’re seeing a perfect example. If you can afford it, you’re in New Hampshire. Get your kids the hell out of these schools, but do not relent.

Do not relent. She’s advocating that this education panel concoct a bill to stop parental involvement. Heard enough? I hope so. I hope so. I don’t have, nor will I have any more children going through the education system, but I have nephews and nieces. And you have people you care about too. And we have a general obligation to our kids that they turn out the way that the family unit desires. See the tails wagging the dog here, folks. And we need to turn this around. And people like this who advocate for this kind of tyranny against parental authority need to be shown the door with regard to education and never be let back in.
