Here there is a big announcement that may or may not be taking place. Tell us a little bit about where we are and why we have this big crowd of people here. So we are at the village in the Pacific Palisade. He should do something active in the community. He is a Democrat, which is okay if you’re not for SB79 and this transit district thing. And if you’re not for Prop 50, he’s for Prop 50. So, you know, I’m upset about that. But at the end of the day, he’s a good businessman and he would be a great contribution to California.

And we need some serious help and leadership at the top. And they hopefully he’s gonna run for mayor. Spencer Pratt announced today, so it’s worried about. But, you know, at the end of the day, it shows that people are interested in Los Angeles and shows that people are interested in California. So the more the merrier. That made the best man win. Come on. Come on, girls. You want to say something? It’s amazing. So pretty exciting. What do you think about that? We need someone like this that’s just making everything, all the facts, teaching everyone that doesn’t know these things.

People could be, like, safe and not feel like they can’t go out and not feel. Can’t speak their mind. And when their town burns down, somebody should show up and pay for that, you know? And over the holidays, I worked on a big food fundraiser with Macy Gray, and 27% of Californians are on food services in California. That’s terrible. And also, how about more people need to be informed. How about affordability? You know, you can’t afford to live here. And then, you know, we’re. But are we really Compared to people that can’t even afford to, like, feed themselves? I just feel like we have no extra money to fix the Palisades.

We don’t have enough money to take care of the people that can’t take care of themselves, let alone fix the Palisades. It’s a shame. And they haven’t fixed the property tax situation. People are still paying proper taxes on the birth properties. You know, people don’t have permits. How do you not have a permit? Like, they should have issued a permit on every single thing that was close to making my hills. That’s awesome. Get ready. Get ready for the big competition. Here we go. Let’s take a look at the crowd right now. Aaron, where’s Nikki going? He’s on his way.

All right, baby face, what do you think is going to happen tonight? I think this guy’s announcing for governor. What guy? Rick Haruso? I think so. Possibility. We got a full house. Look at that. Look at that. Sorry, guys. Here we go. There we go. Are you trying to get by? Oh, okay. Sorry. Oh, okay. All right, guys, we gotta move out in the street. I’m so happy on this street right here. I love it. Oh. Oh, my goodness. It’s so dark. You can’t see. Okay, so here’s the deal. Welcome, everybody. So I’m here. It’s been a full day with the Pacific Palisades and just people, you know, speaking out, standing up, calling Karen Bass, calling newsome to action and.

And just sharing, you know, their loss. And it’s been an amazing day. I’ve been spending a lot of time with Elaine. We. Lewis Herms in today, David Serpa in today, David Kahlenberg, Steve Hilton in today, all working together, which is absolutely incredible when you see these powerhouses coming together. And we’re at an event right now, and we’re told that Rick Caruso is going to be announcing. So let’s take a look. Give it a couple of minutes. I’m gonna go find the crew, but I’m gonna keep you guys live. So let’s. Hang on. Yeah. Excuse me. Oh, Hope, where’s your link at? I have no.

I’m buying a down over here still. Oh, in front. Up in front. I know. Like, We’re back, Aaron. Okay. Can I scoot by? You get some good footage? Yeah, come on in. All right, so let’s talk. Let’s talk about. I’m gonna. I’m gonna play you over here. All right? Aaron. Aaron, I’m gonna introduce you. Okay. Hey. Hey. What’s going on? All right, so listen, we. It’s been a big day. We’re just live streaming right now. I got to meet you for the first time today. You’re a ro Loves Jesus number one. And you have a couple things that you’re working on right now on you tell us about a couple of these things.

Yeah, so right now, I’m working on a tech startup, a life coaching app that’s gonna change the game. It’s gonna help a lot of kids running, just action plans and steps and getting a lot of guidance that, you know, we all want. I think something I believe is that we’re. We’re all willing to put the work in, but we gotta know what work we need to do. And so that’s what we’re working on over here. And just keep an eye out for it. We’ looking to. We’re looking to drop our MVP in May this year. And, Aaron, how can people follow you? I’m at Aaron.

Aaron Armand, A R M O N d on Instagram LinkedIn. Aaron Dejas. If you want to email me, it’s Aaron Zendejas01gmail.com and. And, yeah, reach out for anything. I also do. I’m a pastor also in Orange County. We hold Bible study discussions all the time and prayer groups and everything you need. And we live in crazy times, so we need. We need God more than ever. So what’s your call to action for the people when it comes to what’s happening in the world right now? All the competition with everybody running for governor, like what? There’s. And there’s so many distractions.

We’re dealing with Venezuela, and now we’re looking at these other countries getting involved. So what’s your. What’s your call to action for people? Yeah, I. I think my call to action is to stop being a bystander. I think a lot of us can have such. So much more impact than we believe that we’re capable of, but it just takes having the heart to first get involved and be willing to take the first step and say, hey, how can I help out? How can I. How can I fight for what’s right? Go to your local city council.

Talk to Kim here. She can help you out. Come on. Yeah, we can. You could do so much more than you think you’re capable of. But, yeah, that’s my call to action. Come on, Aaron, you’re amazing. Follow him. He’s pretty cool, guys. See you guys. All right, let’s see what’s going on. We got. Oh, oh, and if you didn’t know, Spencer Pratt announced that he’s running for mayor. So. And that’s for Los Angeles. It’s a pretty big deal. So we’ll. Was it in Los Angeles? I think it was. I think it was. It’s out of Los Angeles.

Yeah. That’s huge. Huge. Yeah. But he has been a huge spokesman in regards to the Pacific Palaces, and he’s been willing to stand in the gap. And that’s what we need, leaders. Yeah. Just like you and me, standing in the gap. All right, here we go. I think we got some stuff going on. Let’s take a look. Oh, there’s the drone. Christmas lights. Doesn’t need a jacket. All right, and again, getting ready for the possibility that Rick Caruso will be announcing his run for governor of the state of California. Let’s see. Before. Hello. What do you think? Take Back your power, baby.

Take your power back, baby. Come on. It’s back. It’s right. Oh, it’s special. My girlfriend Michelle’s covering this thing. Really? Yeah. She works with San. She did that article on me on the Santa Monica Times. Amazing. Oh, my God. She’s so good. Yeah. Was like, I see people walking out. All right, there we go. Oh, my God. Look at this. Know, Guys, can you see? Here it comes. Thank you for being here. We’re going to make this ceremony brief, but I just want to let you know that the Caruso family, the Caruso company and Steadfast, we’re so honored to be part of this community and to play a role in it and to play a role in Altadena and to play a role in Malibu.

But I have to admit, this is a community that is so close to our home and part of our home, and I wanted to do something special here that represents three things. So you’re going to see three beams of light get turned on. One represents Malibu, one represents Palisades, and one represents the communities that were impacted by the Eden Fire, principally Altadena. Those lights were. Will start out separate, and they’ll be merged into one beam of light that will go to the heavens. And since the beginning of time, man and woman have looked to the heavens for answers, but also for hope.

Those three beams also represent to me, one beam being a beam of reflection to reflect upon what we’ve all lost in these communities. The second beam, a beam of gratitude to be grateful for what we still have. And the third, and I think the most important, is the beam of hope, of what we’re hopeful for and what we will work hard for to make our future better and the rebuilding of these communities. And we will do it because we will do it together. And what I have seen over this year, which has given me great inspiration, but humility is the strength of the people.

It’s not the politicians. It’s the people that will bring back these communities. So I’ve asked two of the most wonderful religious leaders I know, my pastor, Monsignor Torgason, and my rabbi, Rabbi Zushi, because I believe in having your bases covered. So I’m going to first introduce the great Monsignor Torgersen for a prayer. It was a year ago that I was at the Caruso home celebrating Rick’s birthday. And this was the great devastating moment. So we’re back. It’s a wonderful gift to be here tonight with all of you. I’ve got a prayer, and our great rabbi is Going to give also a prayer.

So let me share this as best I can with you now. God of mercy and promise, we gather beneath this sky carrying memories that still ache. We remember homes and hearts and hillsides, familiar places in ordinary moments that were taken from us too quickly. We name the grief we carry, but spoken and unspoken, Ask consolation for every mind still learning how to hold this loss. Be near to those whose lives are altered in ways no one could have prepared for. And let no fear tear them apart. God of steadfast love, we give thanks for the courage that rose when everything else fell away.

For neighbors who became family, for responders and public servants who stood in harm’s way. For quiet acts of generosity that revealed the best of the human spirit. When fire tested our foundations, compassion proved stronger. Bless the bonds formed in these days and strengthen the trust that now holds this community together. And finally, God of new beginnings, lift our eyes toward what is still possible. From ashes, bring wisdom from loss, bring resolve from what was broken. Shape something deeper, wiser, more humane. As these lights rise into the night, let them remind us that hope still finds a way upward, that renewal is never beyond reach, and that together we will rebuild not just what was lost, but who we are.

May our blessings rest upon our future, and may we move forward with unity, courage and hope. God bless you and I love you. Well, that was really heart, so thank you. Monsignor Rick, Nina. And you know, we’re all one family. This is a community that is way beyond just some community. We’re all connected, and it’s been such a challenging year for all of us. But our wisdom teaches us that after a fire, one becomes wealthy. Really? What does that mean? Of course, hopefully the insurance companies do what they’re supposed to do, which is not really happening.

But the real idea is that when we go through dark and challenging moments, we are blessed with new wisdom, new possibilities, new insights, new, new perspective. And with all of the challenge. We have been so blessed with the unity that has been in this community. Neighbors and strangers caring for one another. And there is no question in my mind that we’re going to emerge from this in the most wonderful, spectacular way. We’re going to be in shining example for the entire universe. Because with all of this pain, with all of this suffering, we will find great, great meaning and joy and new possibilities.

It’s a great moment for this community as well. Because Mr. Caruso, besides for just putting his whole heart and soul into this community today, happens to be his birthday. Yes. And I know he did not want this to be about him. He didn’t know I was even remembering this. But I want to tell you that our. A birthday. Every day in our life is a birthday. It’s a new beginning. But our birthday is the day that God told us that we matter and that we have something so important to accomplish this world. And, Rick, you have been such an example.

You have been such an example to all of us of how to be selfless, how to care for others, care for community, how to be out there and solve problems. And it’s our fervent prayer that this be your best year ever until next year, and that you with Tina and your whole family continue to realize tremendous blessings. And as we were standing there today at the American Legion, I turned to one of the benefactors and I said to her, God bless you for all the goodness that you have done. She said, rabbi, you know, giving is receding, and of course, it’s easy to say that, but we see this example of giving and giving and giving, and we have to learn from this, because when we give, when we’re there for each other, other, we actually receive much more.

So may God bless us all. And a little bit of light dispels so much darkness. So for sure, by igniting these, these special lights, we are not only bringing some light here, but we’re pushing away the darkness and the sadness, and we’re going to emerge with great joy and celebration. We’re going to find reasons to celebrate despite challenges, and we’re going to find many more possibilities that we didn’t know, we did not know existed. So. L’, chaim. Which means to life. And we’re looking forward, looking forward to many great celebrations right here in this center throughout the community.

And let’s keep building. Let’s find a way to help each other be who we need to be and make a difference. Well, in closing. Yes. Happy birthday to you Happy birthday, dear friend Happy birthday to you. Thank you so much. It made me cry. It went on the wires. Now we’re gonna have a short. I want to just end this. That means the world to me. And I really do love you and this community. And that’s not an empty statement. And we’re gonna be here till the bitter end, until everybody comes home standing by you. Yes.

And this light, I’m going to turn it on right now and we’ll call it a night. But my son, Alex, my first plan was to have this light on until Sunday night. And at dinner the other night, he reminded me, I forgot about this, that this fire did not get extinguished until January 30th. Can you imagine that? I forgot that. From the 7th to the 31st. So these beams of light will turn on every night, and the last night will be January 31st. We welcome the public to come here for a moment of reflection, a moment of celebration, a moment of hope, whatever that moment is on your own, with your family or your friends.

And we’ll all just remain the great community that we are. So here we go. God bless you, everybody. Have a great evening. We’re going to go have a little birthday dinner tonight. Thank you. Wow. I guess not. Okay. Well, well, well, well. An announcement was not made. Nothing. We got podcast. That’s okay. This is a great night. Over and out from the take your power back show, and we’ll see you on the other side.
