You. I am really excited to share this interview with you with Dr. Joe Vitale. It’s hard to believe that at one point in my life I didn’t want to be here. I read his book and his book inspired me so much. And the prayer, the Ho’ Oponopono prayer, just went on to change my life in ways I never could have imagined. After I read his book Zero Limits, I was invited to be part of a weekly group that met, that practiced this prayer. And we were reporting miracles. And through that, once I started to forgive, I had someone who I hadn’t spoken to in 14 years.

Now this isn’t someone who I necessarily wanted back in my life, but I had peace around it. I was no longer triggered and I wasn’t carrying that anger and frustration and all of the feelings that come along with that. After I honestly from the heart forgave them, my whole life changed in ways that I cannot even explain because all of the sudden this book that I had been trying to write for 15 years, the title came to me in Every belief is a lie and if you look at the word belie lies in the middle of it.

And then the book came pouring out of me and five months later it was up on Amazon and became a best seller. After that book went up, I was approached by the producer and the director of this movie zero limits that Dr. Joe Vitale was creating and they asked me to be part of the movie. I actually thought at first it was a joke and I put them through hell to prove that they were really the real deal. Anyway, being part of that movie has been incredible. It’s created miracles in my life. And I also have a second now international book called we are Quantum and Dr.

Joe Vitale has written a chapter in that book. So after this you’ll hear my interview with Dr. Vitale, which I really hope you enjoy, I know you will. And I wanted to also tell you about an opportunity to actually get to meet all of us in person. So there’s three extraordinary experiences surrounding the award winning movie Zero Limits. In Hollywood at the TCL Theater there will be a screening for at Indiewood. Indiewood is a film festival that’s going to be at Hollywood and there will be Dr. Vitale and a number of us from the cast will be there for that.

You’ll get to meet us there. We’re having an exclusive dinner that you can also attend that is going to be amazing. And there’s a mastermind the following following day on Wednesday. So that’s September 16th and there’s only eight people that will be able to attend that. If you would like to come to any of these things, I have the link below. We’d love to see you. Participating with an exclusive mastermind with Dr. Vitale and 10 members of the cast can be life changing. These aren’t just events. These are opportunities to connect, grow, and become part of a community dedicated to expanding what’s possible.

Truly Zero Limits. I hope to see you September 15th and 16th out in Hollywood. It’s going to be so much fun and I look forward to seeing you there. All right, so here we go. Welcome Dr. Vitale. I’m so thrilled to have you on my podcast, Where Truth Lies. And I’m so excited to have you because you’ve been such a huge influence on my life. Your book Zero Limits influenced me so much and it got me into a Ho’ Oponopono group which then helped release all the blocks in my life, which then the title of my book came and in five months the book was out and it was a seller.

Wow. Congratulations. I didn’t know the background story. That’s very impressive. Yeah. So I wanted people to get an idea of who you are for those who don’t. And I know that you are also the star of the Secret. You’ve written many. You’re a global best selling author. And we have this amazing movie, this documentary that’s just come out and as you can see behind me, was filmed at my home in Vermont and so thrilling to be part of this. So why Zero Limits and why now? Great questions. First of all, congratulations and thank you. Thank you for being in the movie.

Thank you for bringing your bright light, your inspiring story, your presence, because you’re going to help a lot of people. And that’s the reason to do the movie. We want to help as many people as possible. Yes, I was in the Secret, but that was over 20 years ago and people still talk about it, they still see it, they’re still influenced by it. But in many ways the Secret was incomplete. An introduction, and it didn’t tell people enough about getting past their own personal limits. I’m grateful for the movie. I tell people to see it whether I was in it or not.

But we needed to go beyond it. I’ve gone beyond it with Ho’, oponopono, which is the Hawaiian healing method that I’ve talked about and you talked about with the book Zero Limits that you read. And I wanted the world to know about this. As much as I love books and you love books, not everybody reads Books. But virtually everybody watches tv. They watch movies, they watch their computer. They’re looking on their iPhone, they’re looking on their pads, whatever they might have. So I wanted to create a vehicle to get this inspiring message to the masses to help them get through their struggles.

We live in a time. Some think it’s. It’s really horrendous. I have more of a historic view and thinking, oh, we’ve had far worse times in history. But anytime you have to struggle, it’s a struggle, and you’re looking for a way to get through it. So I wanted Zero Limits as a movie. I wanted to reach the masses. I wanted to inspire people. I wanted to give them a tool that you and I both know works, and that’s, you know, the bottom line. Reason for Zero Limits. Let’s help. Yeah, it’s. It’s an amazing process. And I have to share.

I had joined a Ho’ Oponopono group where it’s this beautiful prayer. I love you. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. And I started focusing on some people and some people that I hadn’t spoken to in 14 years. And three months after I started that participating in the group, I get a call from someone who hadn’t spoken to in 14 years. I noticed something different had changed between us, but there had been no connection at all. I felt differently. I know I want to reconnect with you. How can we make this happen now? They’re still the same person, right? Doesn’t mean that I have to be friends with them.

But I was finally at peace and no longer triggered. And the miracle of Ho’. Oponopono. I would really love for you to share the importance, because the blocks when you don’t forgive, how that impacts your body and your thoughts and gets in your way of everything. I think it was Wayne Dyer who said, if there is any block in your life, you’re not getting the romance, you’re not getting money, you’re not getting health, you’re not getting progress. You feel stuck. He says it’s virtually always a lack of forgiveness, and most of the time, it’s a lack of forgiveness for yourself.

But certainly we extend that to other people that we hold resentment with. So the first layer of this is it’s keeping you from attracting and achieving the very things you want. Your energy is tied up psychically, if you like to put it that way, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, physically, in this lack of letting go. And so we have to let go in order to free ourselves of the chains around us. I’m pausing to get some water. Very important. I also know, I think it was Buddha who said, when you’re walking around, I think it was Buddha who said, when you’re walking around and you haven’t forgiven somebody, you’re walking around with hot coals in your hand because the only person you’re hurting is yourself.

The other person most of the time doesn’t even know you’re upset. They don’t know you’re holding a grudge. They don’t know you’re walking around with resentment. You’re burning up your own energy system when you don’t forgive. If you don’t forgive yourself, you’re also presenting a problem in receiving your own good. I had written a book a long time ago called Attract Money now. And there’s seven steps in there. And the first, very first one is about being okay with money and being okay with receiving it. And whether you say it’s money or health or relationships or a new job or more sales, when we block our own good from coming in, it’s often because we don’t think we’re worthy.

And we don’t think we’re worthy because we haven’t forgiven ourselves for some perceived judgment that we’ve announced on ourselves. We’ve sentenced ourselves to this layer of unhappiness in that layer of unhappiness is keeping us from happiness and keeping us from our own good. So there’s lots of layers to this. But forgiveness on all levels, we just have to push the button and forgive. It’s true. And, and you. I’ve heard you quoted. This is a belief driven universe. Yes. Yeah, that is one of my favorite quotes, and that’s what I have discovered over time. I was reading books in the 1960s from the public library as a teenager, and one most influential back then, and it’s still with me today, was a book called the Magic of Believing.

The Magic of Believing by Claude Bristol, came out in 1950. It’s still in print today. There’s abridged versions of it. And as a kid, I remember reading that book and being in awe because Bristol was saying, if you really believe something, you can actually manifest it. And he had enough stories in there and he narrated it enough that I believed them. And I started as a kid to experiment with it. And I found that when I really chose a belief and fueled that with that belief, with my. My visualization, my integrity, my concern, my conviction, it came to pass.

Now over the decades. I’m in my 70s at this point. I’ve had enough experience to look back and go, whenever you change your belief, you change your reality, you change your perception of reality, but you also change your actions that stem from those perceptions. And then in an almost magical way, as you’ve discovered from doing Ho’ oponopono and from being in the movie, that when you change your beliefs inside yourself, the outer world reflects those changes. And even people you haven’t Talked to in 14 years will react differently. But what they’re reacting to is your internal belief.

Because you didn’t call them, you didn’t email them, you didn’t send them a snail mail letter, you didn’t fly over to talk to them. What took place, it was on this invisible level. I say we live in this. This esoteric Internet. And this esoteric Internet is wireless. So when we change our beliefs, we wirelessly send a new belief into the universe. And anybody that is touched by it will feel it and they’ll respond to it like friends from almost two decades ago. Isn’t that so? So I want to ask you, because you talk about being homeless at one point.

Yes. And then, you know, getting through this, what was your process of going. Because there’s this whole thing, expect miracles. Right. But when I was in that place, you don’t expect it. Oh, no, I wasn’t expecting miracles back then. Oh, and the. And the beliefs are unconscious, too. There are conscious beliefs and unconscious beliefs. Oh, you’re going for the deep dive here because. Oh, yeah, I’m a hypnotherapist. So there you go. Yeah, you have to go to the deeper levels to make change. In fact, that’s one of the problems that people have. They watch something like the movie the Secret.

And the Secret was simply an introduction to an idea. And so it doesn’t go deep enough or give people the tools to go deep enough to make any change in any sort of lasting, noticeable way. And so I defend the movie the Secret. I tell people to see the Secret. I would endorse it whether I was in it or not. But at the same time, it’s only an introduction to an idea. To make change, you have to, as you’re pointing out, go deeper. You have to go into the subconscious, slash, unconscious mind, look for those limiting beliefs, and then erase them, change them if you can, and create a new reality based on these new beliefs and a new belief system, slash, mindset.

Now, when I was homeless, I didn’t know about miracles. I was looking for a hamburger. I was looking for a job. I was looking for a place to live. I wasn’t thinking about miracles. I don’t think that concept or that word was anywhere in my mind. I would have thought of miracles, like Jesus walking on water. And all I wanted was somebody to give me a minimum wage job so that I can survive. Now how did I get through all of that? Because there’s no Internet, there’s no podcasts, there’s none of the YouTube videos of the stuff we take for granted today, the abundance of information.

I’m going to the public library because I don’t have money to buy actual books. And then I’m reading them. I don’t have a coach. The only coaching back then was little league coaching and football coachings. I couldn’t have afforded a personal development coach. Anyway, so I’m borrowing books, reading books, and trying to apply those books to myself. All as a solitary experience, very, very difficult to do. And as difficult as I tell people is because you’re playing chess with yourself. You know your own moves, you’re working within your own current belief system, trying to change your belief system.

And while you’re in it, it’s. It’s not impossible to change it, but it’s a lot harder to change it. Still, during that time, I am doing my best. And I remember there was one particular wakeup call. I kept reading these books like the Magic of Believing and Think and Grow Rich in Psycho Cybernetics and, you know, the classics of literature, and doing my best to understand them and doing my best to put them into my life and reflect on them. And I kept coming up to the concept of personal responsibility. They were repeatedly saying I was the one creating my life.

And I’m like, no way, no way. No way would I create homelessness. No way would I create this kind of suffering. No way would I create poverty that lasts than 10 years. No way. But I had to play touch and go with that concept and start to take it in and go, okay, if that were true, why would it be true? Why would I do this? And now I’m moving in the direction of unearthing those subconscious beliefs because consciously I would never put myself through that, right? Not consciously. Subconsciously I was believing some of the greatest authors of all time that I greatly admired or self destructive, miserable alcoholic and ended in a couple of cases like Jack London and Ernest Hemingway suicides.

They died by their own hand. I was going in that direction because subconsciously I thought I have to have this kind of a life in order to have their level of success. That was the operating belief. But I didn’t Know it till I dug deeper. Then when I got to it and thought, oh, my God, that’s. That’s what’s going on, then I gotta find authors that are happy and healthy and productive and wealthy and prolific and well loved and, you know, all of those things. And when I found those authors and started to go, okay, I’m going to model more of that than Jack London and Ernest Hemingway, then my life started to ease up.

Then it started to get better. I started to move in a more positive direction. And again, I didn’t have the coaching. I didn’t have the personal development tools, much like what you’re doing to help me back then. And it took longer. Today we can collapse time. We can get transformations in an instant, all because of all the extra tools and because of what we know today. So nobody has to do it alone. But for me, it was a rough little. I love the idea where you say collapse time because part of what I do is I.

People can also inherit ancestral trauma. It’s called epigenetics. So I can actually take people back to their ancestor who was the root cause and heal them and bring it down to heal them and then their descendants. So in essence, you’re really moving through time and quantum level. And when you’re talking about money, if you have an ancestor who went through deep poverty, you may be carrying it even though you haven’t personally experienced it. Oh, that’s a very good observation and that is very accurate because I don’t think any of us, or probably most of the people listening are not descendants of Buddha and they are not descendants of gray wealth.

They probably had ancestors who struggled physically, emotionally, starvation, survival, emotional, all of those different things. And it came down the downline. Right. We’ve talked about Ho’ Oponopono and it’s core to the movie Zero limits. It was Dr. Who Lin, the therapist who taught me Ho’, Oponopono, and he’s briefly in the movie. There’s some video footage of him. He said, when we’re doing healing, we’re healing all the way from the beginning of time, he would say from amoeba. Amoeba all the way. It picked up all of these limitations that picks up all of this trauma coming to us, and we inherit it, we download it.

We’re innocently obtaining this physical body, but we don’t know what came in down the road, down the river, so to speak, that we downloaded as we got into this body. So there’s work to do, but the work is not necessarily what we did. Present time. There’s also the baggage that came in upon birth that we can still unload. It’s one of the reasons why I love the Ho’ Oponopono so much is because you don’t necessarily always have to know what the issue is. Right. Because in therapy, if you were going to try and pinpoint where that came from, you might never get there.

That is so true. It’s deceptive to think we can figure it out because we would end up arguing over what the direct cause is for something we’re experiencing today. Because there’s so many variables, so many little domino effects that take place in life that we can’t precisely go, it was this exact moment. And then if you look at current science, current science says we’re not even remembering things correctly, remembering fictions. And some of the science is saying the memory you have of childhood is actually not a memory of childhood. It’s a memory of your last memory of remembering childhood.

And every time you go back and you think you’re remembering the original thing, you’re remembering the last memory of it. And it’s getting foggier every time you do it. So we’re not actually accurately pinpointing anything, which is. I agree with you. One of the reasons Ho’ Oponopono and the movie Zero Limits is so powerful is you can heal without knowing the original cause. Exactly. And it’s mind over matter. And you talk about this in the movie. And I’m excited for people to be able to see see this because we’re gonna have some premieres coming up and the movie will be out in September.

You bent metal. Yes. So I’ve walked 40ft of fire. I bent a 10 foot Peter piece of rebar from my throat and have broken arrows from my throat and walked glass. So I understand this at a very deep level. I still have my rebar as a remember. And people like you did what? And you show in the movie how you have horseshoes that you bend with your hands. Yeah, I have a pile of them. Yeah, I have a pile of them. And they’re reminders to me of doing the impossible. Because before you bend it, much like before you walk on fire, before you bend it with your throat, all of that, it seems impossible and there’s a whole lot of doubt.

But when you actually do it, especially something concrete like that, and then you can look at it afterwards, it is a reminder that there are no limits. Which is why the movie is called Zero Limits. The very first time I’ve been a horseshoe, I mean, I felt like, if not God, at least a superhero from Marvel Comics. It’s like, what? This is built for a horse? And I just bent it. Oh. I used to give horseshoes and nails out to friends. I’d meet him for lunch and go, hey, I bent this for you. It was the.

It was pretty bizarre for people to receive a Nail Bent by Dr. Joe. Like, what do I do with this? But it’s amazing how much when your mind shifts. Yeah. What it does. And there are people, like, there are people who will walk fire and will burn their feet because if their belief system or if they’re depressed, they shouldn’t walk. Your energy needs to be high, and you have to believe at the deepest level. And it’s really focusing all your energy on that one thing and believe it at your deepest core. Well, let me tell you something that I don’t think I’ve ever said publicly.

I did a fire walk in 19 in the 1980s. And I remember doing everything where you build the fire yourself and there’s a group of people there, and you feel the heat. So you know, you know, this is real. This is a real fire. And we’re walked through the mentality of walking on fire. And I remember starting to walk, and I walked two or three feet. It was like, nothing hurt. I wasn’t being burned. And I had the thought, I should be burned. Yeah, I was burned right then. Yeah. And then I went, oh, no, no, no, burn.

And I walked the rest of the way. I never forgot it because it was such a clear demonstration of the power of the mind. Here I am walking across hot coals without being burned until the thought, the belief is there. Oh, you should be burned. Change the thought again. No, I could walk across the rest of the way without being burned, and I did. That’s amazing that you were able to switch it back, because once the burn happened, most people just let go and freak out. They’re in burn mode. They’re in burn mode. Because when I was.

When I saw this 40 foot, you know, strip of fire in front of me, I freaked out, even though I had done all those things before. And someone looked at me because we were practicing every night. So we were walking seven to ten feet every night. So they looked at me and they said, how much fire have you walked all week? He said, has it been over 40? I said, yes. He said, you’ve already done 40ft. This should be a piece of cake. My mind switched, and I walked it like it was nothing. So it’s so powerful.

And that’s with everything else. And identifying what your unconscious beliefs are can be difficult. I remember doing a presentation on money and attracting abundance. And I asked everyone in the room, who here wants to make a million dollars a year? And everyone raised their hands and I said, tell me all about the people who live in this mansion behind me. I have this big picture and people are like, oh, they hate each other, they’re getting a divorce, their kids hate them, their kids are on drugs, they can’t afford to heat the house. And then I stopped everyone, I said, well, all of you raised your hands, say you want to make a million dollars, but if you don’t believe that people with money or abundance are happy, how are you ever going to attract that? That is a great point.

That is a very good point. Great example. Yeah. And you’ve written books on that, on abundance, correct. I’ve written a lot of books on my road Attract Money now, the Awakened Millionaire, Money Loves Speed, the abundance paradigm. Those are some of the ones that come to mind. I have deep dived into this partly because I was the first person that needed cleaned up when it came with to money. And then over time I’ve shared it with people to help them be able to get past those limitations. Most people have beliefs about money. Since you brought it up, let’s look at one of the big ones here.

And that is, I can begin the sentence and everybody’s going to finish it. And this is an operating belief in their mind right now. Money is the root of all. Everybody just said evil. They weren’t thinking that money is evil before it, but it was there. It’s latent, it’s in the subconscious. Right. And then I asked people to go a little deeper, to go, okay, do you really think you’re going to attract and keep money if you think it’s bad for you? You’re not going to want anything evil in your life. And so in some sort of usually subconscious way, you won’t even know you’re doing it.

You’ll blame the rest of the world. You’ll push it out, you’ll push it away. Which is why so many people win the lottery. We hear all these stories, oh, they want a million dollars or $2 million. They’re broke. They couldn’t allow evil into their life. And so that’s an example of a limiting belief. Of course, the longer biblical quote is the love of money is the root of all evil, which is only slightly better. But I look at this and tell people, look, you don’t need to love money. At all. Just appreciate it. It’s leverage. It’s a tool, It’s a symbol.

It’s in and of itself. It’s nothing. I tell people money is a little bit like my pen here. With this pen, I can take it and I can write a. A grocery list, I can write a song, I can write a check for $500,000, or I can take it and stab you. Is it the pen? No, it’s me. It’s the person that’s using the pen. It’s the same with money. Money in and of itself is pretty neutral, but you get to choose how you’re going to use it. And I believe that you can use it to build wonderful, great spiritual differences in the world.

Money is a great tool for good. Yeah. And think about when’s the last time you actually saw a movie that portrayed someone who was wealthy as a good person. So a lot of people don’t even have mentors to that. People believe that. That whole, you know, idea that people are miserable and they’re money hungry. There are people without money who are unhappy too. There are people. It’s all about what’s inside and what you carry. People. There are a lot of philanthropists, there are a lot of people who do good. They create business, they create jobs, they create wealth.

So it’s about switching the whole idea of what abundance and money is. And I just spent three months in Mexico in complete flow with no plans and everything kept showing up. I never knew week to week where I was going to stay. And that’s what flow state is, is everything just starts coming to you and it’s really powerful. I mean, when you talk about miracles, expect miracles. That should be our natural state, right? It’s not a miracle. Yeah, I totally agree with you. Well, one of the reasons that I wanted the movie to come out was to do a lot of what you’re talking about here is to give people a different perspective, Right.

To give them a different belief system, if you will. People already have their current belief system, which is mostly about lack limitation, about struggle. And unconsciously they don’t think they deserve good things. They don’t think positive things are going to happen. They happen to other people. They’re not what happened to them? All of this is their belief system, but they don’t know it’s their belief system. It just seems like it’s their reality when they want zero limits. We’re introducing a different way of viewing the world and we’re introducing stories and people and techniques that can help them look differently.

I love the story you were talking about with the firewalk, and there was somebody there who pointed out that had you already walked 40ft over, split up over several days. That’s what the movie does. It points out where the strong parts are that you probably aren’t even paying attention to. And of course, it’s giving you these wonderful insights. But bending metal when it seems like it’s impossible? Or where Ho’ oponopono comes from with Dr. Hu Lin helping to heal an entire ward of mentally ill criminals by working on himself. For the average person, this is preposterous.

This is incredible. This is miraculous. But for you and I and the folks that are in the movie, this is our reality. Exactly. And. And I have to say, having gotten to know a few of the people who are in the movie behind the scenes, we’ve connected in our own community. Extraordinary people. But also, they’re everyday people like you. We. We are all. We’ve all been through it. We’ve all been through those dark places. You know, we’ve all people. I’ve had people say, oh, you have a perfect life. I’m like, what? What are you talking about? I’m like, you have any idea how much I studied and what I’ve been through or what you’ve been through to get here? This was not an easy path.

A lot of learning. And I would say it’s still not an easy path. No, it can be. It can be. So let me address that for a moment here. One is, people watch the movie the Secret, read the success literature, hear about you and I and other people that are in the movie the Secret, and they think we got it all figured out. We. They think that there’s nothing but unicorns in our life and rainbows every morning and pot of gold at the front porch when we open the door and all of that wonderful stuff. And they don’t realize we still have the human experience.

We still have struggles. There are days when it rains. There are days when there are black clouds. There are days when there are surprises. As a planet, we just went through the pandemic that should tell everybody that there are unexpected things that take place. And we’re going to have to learn to adapt and shuffle and do some inspired action to get through all of that. In my own case, people look at me and go, okay, he’s in his 70s. He was in the movie The Secret. He’s written 90 books. He’s in 30 movies. He has his own movie out.

Okay, good for him. I went through the pandemic and during the pandemic I went through a divorce, was a three year persecution of my life and business. And during the pandemic and during the divorce, my father died and my mother died and my best friend died and a family member attempted suicide, shooting himself. And I developed a relationship with a woman who developed neuro Lyme disease. And she was on her deathbed and I was her caretaker. During a divorce, during a pandemic, during all these funerals, I had to learn how to change my beliefs, how to look at life differently, how to take it one day at a time, how to do what I could do in each moment, in each day and get through it.

And obviously I did. So I think a big mistake is when people just think, okay, I learned about the law of attraction, or I learned ho’, oponopono, I got it made. Now, when you do have it made and you do have a tool, but you have to have the mindset that it might rain one day and it’s okay if it does, just be ready with an umbrella. It’s the ability to, I want to say detachment, to be neutral. Yes. So when you have something that happens and it’s emotionally charged, it will run you when you pull the emotion out.

Which is, I think, a huge part of the healing that the ho’ oponopono does, is that you now can look at it from a higher perspective and you can look down on it and go, okay, this is not about me. We’re going to get through it and everything will be okay. You can’t change what happens, but you can change the way you feel about something. And that’s exactly right. You can change your story, you can change your perception, you can change your mindset, which ultimately we’re saying, bottom line, you can change your beliefs about it. Exactly.

I was going most recently through that divorce and pandemic and deaths and all of that. I was looking for my lifesaver. And one of the things I found was a quote from Seneca, one of the poster boys for stoicism. And Seneca said, it’s all in your mind. You have the power to make things seem. I like the word seem. He consciously chose that word. You have the power to make things seem hard or easy or even amusing. It’s all in your mind. And I wrestled with it at first because I thought, well, I understand the hard part.

That seems to be default for all of us. Something happens and it’s like, oh my God, this is hard. But Seneca said you can also look at it as easy. How do you do that. It’s the mindset. If you look at it like, okay, I can do this and I can do this today. There was days when I got up and I thought, okay, I have to go to court or I have to do blah, blah, blah, can I do it? I don’t want to do it, but I can do it one day at a time.

It’s all fine. So it was becoming easy. And then the third thing was he said, or it could even be amusing. That was a huge one. How do I make this look amusing? And I saw an interview with Jerry Seinfeld and he had said, when there’s a tragedy in the world, the comics have the jokes that night. And he said, but they don’t tell them yet because the world’s not ready to laugh. Right. But they have it because they saw it as amusing. And that opened up again, perception, belief system in my brain to go, you mean there’s a way to look at it as amusing.

And that shifted everything for me. And that’s what I’m offering to people as a tool. It’s like, yeah, we all know that when it rains, it might look like, this is hard. Yeah, that’s one way to look at it. But it can also be easy. It’s another way to look at it. Could even be amusing. Third way to look at it. And you have the choice to make it seem however you like. Beautiful. I love that. That’s great advice. And we have a premiere coming up in June in Sacramento. Yes, it’s a big deal. Yeah, releases are going out right now.

In fact, this movie, I’m pretty sure you know this, it’s been nominated for 12 awards. It’s already won three awards. It has not been released to the masses yet. The world premiere, the VIP red carpet news, media friendly, big deal, is June 26in Sacramento. And you have to get tickets because it’s standing room only. The theater only has so many seats. Los Angeles Tribune is going to be there covering it. Local media will be there covering it. Independent photographers will be there covering it. A lot of the cast will be there. I will be there. You have to get your tickets in advance@zero limits movie.com zerolimitsmovie.com and I didn’t ask.

A lot of people are thinking they’re just going to wait, but the movie won’t be streamed until maybe October, late in the year, later, 2025. And I don’t want people to wait. It’s like, this is too good. This is too juicy. This is too inspiring. This is too unique. This is the first movie ever that introduces Ho’, Oponopono, much like the Secret introduced the law of attraction to the world, to the masses. And that was 20 years ago, and people are still watching and talking about it today. This movie is beyond it because we talk about ho’, oponopono, teach it, give stories about it, reveal it.

And Dr. Hulan, who taught it to me, there’s a little bit of footage of him in there from one of the events he and I did. But this movie is his story and I really want people to go to the premiere. Don’t wait until it’s on Amazon or Apple tv. That’s the end of the year or next year. Go to your premiere. Go to the big VIP premiere in Sacramento, June 26th. Go to zero limits movie.com I think the trailer is there. All the info is there. The premieres are there. Photos are there. You are there.

I am there. Start there. 0 limitsmovie.com Beautiful. Yeah, I’m excited. And there’ll be a lot more premieres. People are working on them, so keep checking. Around the world. There’s one. Yeah, around the world. And I’m actually working on one potentially in Mexico. Oh, nice. Yeah. Yeah, I know that they’re happening around the world because a lot of the cast are in different places around the world. There’s going to be one in London. Yeah. Probably in the summer. I don’t have any dates for any of that. That’s why I say go to zerolimitsmovie.com I believe all the dates for premieres are being posted there.

They’re in process, so. Well, thank you so much. This was such a pleasure and honor and I loved our conversation and thank you so much for being my inspiration. And I’m so excited to have you because you’ve been such a huge influence on my life. Your book Zero Limits influenced me so much and it got me into a ho’ oponopono group, which then helped release all the blocks in my life, which then the title of my book came and in five months the book was out and it was a seller.

Wow. Congratulations. I didn’t know the background story. That’s very impressive. Yeah. So I wanted people to get an idea of who you are for those who don’t. And I know that you are also the star of the Secret. You’ve written many. You’re a global best selling author. And we had this amazing movie, this documentary that’s just come out. And as you can see behind me. Yes. Was filmed at my home in Vermont and so thrilling to be part of this.

Yes, I was in the Secret, but that was over 20 years ago. And people still talk about it, they still see it, they’re still influenced by it, but in many ways, the Secret was incomplete, an introduction, and it didn’t tell people enough about getting past their own personal limits.

As much as I love books and you love books, not everybody reads books, but virtually everybody watches tv. They watch movies, they watch their computer, they’re looking on their iPhone, they’re looking on their pads, whatever they might have. So I wanted to create a vehicle to get this inspiring message to the masses to help them get through their struggles.

We live in a time. Some think it’s. It’s really horrendous. I have more of a historic view and thinking, oh, we’ve had far worse times in history, but anytime you have to struggle, it’s a struggle and you’re looking for a way to get through it. So I wanted Zero Limits As a movie. I wanted to reach the masses. I wanted to inspire people. I wanted to give them a tool that you and I both know works. And that’s, you know, the bottom line.

And three months after I started that participating in the group, I get a call from someone who I hadn’t spoken to in 14 years. I noticed something different had changed between us, but there had been no connection at all. I felt differently. I know I want to reconnect with you. How can we make this happen now? They’re still the same person.

Right?

The other person, most of the time doesn’t even know you’re upset. They don’t know you’re holding a grudge. They don’t know you’re walking around with resentment. You’re burning up your own energy system. When you don’t forgive, if you don’t forgive yourself, you’re also presenting a problem in receiving your own good.

We’ve sentenced ourselves to this layer of unhappiness. And that layer of unhappiness is keeping us from happiness and keeping us from our own good. So there’s lots of layers to this. But forgiveness on all levels, we just have to push the button and forgive. It’s true. And, and you. I’ve heard you quoted. This is a belief driven universe. Yes. Yeah, that is one of my favorite quotes. And that’s what I have discovered over time. I was reading books in the 1960s from the public library as a teenager.

Of the most influential back then, and it’s still with me today, was a book called the Magic of Believing. The Magic of Believing by Claude Bristol came out in 1950.

But what they’re reacting to is your internal belief, because you didn’t call them, you didn’t email them, you didn’t Send them a snail mail letter. You didn’t fly over to talk to them. What took place? It was on this invisible level. I say we live in this, this esoteric Internet.

Yes. And then, you know, getting through this. What was your process of going. Because there’s this whole thing, expect miracles. Right. But when you’re in that place, you don’t expect it. Oh, no, I wasn’t expecting miracles back then. Oh, and the, and the beliefs are unconscious, too. There are conscious beliefs and unconscious beliefs, religious beliefs. Oh, you’re going for the deep dive here because. Oh, yeah, I’m a hypnotherapist, so there you go. Yeah, you have to go to the deeper levels to make change. In fact, that’s one of the problems that, that people have.

You have to go into the subconscious, slash unconscious mind, look for those limiting beliefs, and then erase them, change them if you can, and create a new reality based on these new beliefs and a new belief system, slash mindset.

Now, when I was homeless, I didn’t know about miracles. I was looking for a hamburger. I was looking for a job. I was looking for a place to live. I wasn’t thinking about miracles. I don’t think that concept or that word was anywhere in my mind. I would have thought of miracles like Jesus walking on water. And all I wanted was somebody to give me a minimum wage job so that I can survive. Now, how did I get through all of that? Because there’s no Internet, there’s no podcasts, there’s none of the YouTube videos. There’s none of the stuff we take for granted today, the abundance of information.

I’m going to the public library because I don’t have money to buy Actual books. And then I’m reading them. I don’t have a coach. The only coaching back then was Little league coaching and football coaching. I couldn’t have afforded a personal development coach. Anyway, so I’m borrowing books, reading books, and trying to apply those books to myself. All as a solitary experience. Very, very difficult to do. And as difficult, as I tell people, is because you’re playing chess with yourself. You know your own moves, you’re working within your own current belief system, trying to change your belief system.

And while you’re in it, it’s, it’s not impossible to change it, but it’s a lot harder to change it. Still, during that time, I am doing my best. And I remember there was one particular wake up call. I kept reading these books like the Magic of Believing and Think and Grow Rich in Psycho Cybernetics and, you know, the classics of literature and doing my best to understand them and doing my best to put them into my life and reflect on them. And I kept coming up to the concept of personal responsibility. They were repeatedly saying I was the one creating my life, life.

And I’m like, no way, no way, no way would I create homelessness. No way would I create this kind of suffering. No way would I create poverty that lasted 10 years. No way. But I had to play touch and go with that concept and start to take it in and go, okay, if that were true, why would it be true? Why would I do this? And now I’m moving in the direction of unearthing those subconscious beliefs because consciously I would never put myself through that, right? Not consciously, subconsciously I was believing some of the greatest authors of all time that I greatly admired were self destructive, miserable, alcoholic, and ended in a couple of cases like Jack London and Ernest Hemingway suicides.

They died by their own hand. I was going in that direction because subconsciously I thought I have to have this kind of a life in order to have their level of success. That was the operating belief. But I didn’t know it until I dug deeper. Then when I got to it and thought, oh my God, that’s, that’s what’s going on, then I gotta find authors that are happy and healthy and productive and wealthy and prolific and well loved and, you know, know all of those things. And when I found those authors and started to go, okay, I’m going to model more of that than Jack London and Ernest Hemingway, then my life started to ease up, then it started to get better, I started to move in a more positive direction.

And again, I didn’t have the coaching. I didn’t have the personal development tools, much like what you’re doing to help me back then, and it took longer. Today we can collapse time. We can get transformations in an instant, all because of all the extra tools and because of what we know today. So nobody has to do it alone. But for me, it was a rough little. I love the idea where you say collapse time because part of what I do is people can also inherit ancestral trauma called epigenetics. So I can actually take people back to their ancestor who was the root cause, and heal them and bring it down to heal them and then their descendants.

So in essence. In essence, you’re really moving through time and quantum level. And, you know, when you’re talking about money, if you have an ancestor who went through deep poverty, you may be carrying it even though you haven’t personally experienced it. Oh, that’s a very good observation, and that is very accurate, because I don’t think any of us or probably most of the people listening are not descendants of Buddha, and they are not descendants of gray wealth. They probably had ancestors who struggled physically, emotionally, starvation, survival, emotion, all of those different things. And it came down the downline.

Right. We’ve talked about Ho’ Oponopono and its core to the movie Zero Limits. It was Doctor who Lasted, the therapist who taught me Ho’, Oponopono, and he’s briefly in the movie. There’s some video footage of him. He said, when we’re doing healing, we’re healing all the way from the beginning of time, he would say, from amoeba, amoeba, all the way. It picked up all of these limitations that picks up all of this trauma coming to us, and we inherit it. We download it. We’re innocently obtaining this physical body, but we don’t know what came into down the road, down the river, so to speak, that we downloaded as we got into this body.

So there’s work to do, but the work is not necessarily what we did present time. There’s also the baggage that came in upon birth that we can still unload. It’s one of the reasons why I love the so much is because you don’t necessarily always have to know what the issue is. Exactly right. Because in therapy, if you were going to try and pinpoint where that came from, you might never get there. That is so true. It’s deceptive to think we can figure it out because we would end up arguing over what the direct cause is for something we’re experiencing today because there’s so many Variables.

There’s so many little domino effects that take place in life that we can’t precisely go, it was this exact moment. And then if you look at current science, current science says we’re not even remembering things. Correct. Remembering fictions. And some of the science is saying the memory you have of childhood is actually not a memory of childhood. It’s a memory of your last memory of remembering childhood. And every time you go back and you think you’re remembering the original thing, you’re remembering the last memory of it, and it’s getting foggier every time you do it. So we’re not actually accurately pinpointing anything, which is.

I agree with you. One of the reasons Ho’ oponopono and the movie Zero Limits is so powerful is you can heal without knowing the original cause. Exactly. And it’s mind over matter. And you talk about this in the movie. And I’m excited for people to be able to see this because we’re going to have some premieres coming up and the movie will be out in September. You bent metal. Yes. So I’ve walked 40ft of fire. I bent a 10 foot piece of rebar from my throat and have broken arrows from my throat and walked glass.

Because before you bend it, much like before you walk on fire, before you bend it with your throat, all of that, it seems impossible, Entered a whole lot of doubt. But when you actually do it, especially something concrete like that, that. And then you can look at it afterwards, it is a reminder that there are no limits.

I’d meet them for lunch and go, hey, I bent this for you. It was the best.

Your energy needs to be high and you have to believe at the deepest level. And it’s really focusing all your energy on that one thing and believe it at your deepest core. Well, let me tell you something that I don’t think I’ve ever said publicly. I did a fire walk in 19, in the 1980s. And I remember doing everything where you build the fire yourself and there’s a group of people there and you feel the heat.

So this is real. There’s a real fire. And we’re walked through the mentality of walking on fire. And I remember starting to walk and I walked two or three feet. It was like nothing hurt.

No, I could walk across the rest of the way without being burned. And I did. That’s amazing that you were able to switch it back. Because once the burn happened, most people just let go and freak out.

My mind switched and I walked it like it was nothing.

I have this big picture and people like, like, oh, they hate each other, they’re getting a divorce, their kids hate them, their kids are on drugs, they can’t afford to heat the house. And then I stopped everyone, I said, well, all of you raised your hands, say, you want to make a million dollars. But if you don’t believe that people with money or abundance are happy, how are you ever going to attract that? That is a great point. That is a very good point. Great example. Yeah. And you’ve written books on that, on abundance. Correct. I’ve written a lot of books on my road.

Attract Money now. The awakened Millionaire. Money Loves Speed. The abundance paradigm.

It’s latent. It’s in the subconscious. Right. And then I asked people to go a little deeper, to go, okay, do you really think you’re going to attract and keep money if you think it’s bad for you? Yeah, you’re not going to want anything evil in your life.

But I look at this and tell people, look, you don’t need to love money at all. Just appreciate it. It’s leverage. It’s a tool, it’s a symbol, it’s in and of itself. It’s nothing. I tell people money is a little bit like my pen here.

With this pen, I can take it and I can write a, a grocery list, I can write a song, I can write a check for $500,000 or I can take it and stab you. Is it the pen? No, it’s me. It’s the person that’s using the pen. It’s the same with money. Money in and of itself is pretty neutral. But you get to choose how you’re going to use it.

It’s all about what’s inside, inside and what you carry. People. There are a lot of philanthropists. There are a lot of people who do good. They create business, they create jobs, they create wealth. So it’s about switching the whole idea of what abundance and money is. And I just spent three months in Mexico in complete flow with no plans, and everything kept showing up.

I never knew week to week, where I was going to stay. And that’s what flow state is, is everything just starts coming to you and it’s really powerful. I mean, when you talk about miracles, expect miracles. That should be our natural state, right? It’s not a miracle. Yeah, I totally agree with you. Well, one of the reasons that I wanted the movie to come out was to do a lot of what you’re talking about here is to give people a different perspective. Right. To give them a different belief system, if you will. People already have their current belief system, which is mostly about lack limitation, about struggle.

And unconsciously, they don’t think they deserve good things. They don’t think positive things are going to happen. They happen to other people. They’re not what happened to them. All of this is their belief system, but they don’t know it’s their belief system. It just seems like it’s their reality when they want zero limits. We’re introducing a different way of viewing the world, and we’re introducing stories and people and techniques that can help them look differently. I love the story you were talking about with the firewalk, and there was somebody there who pointed out that hadn’t you already walked 40ft over split up over several days? That’s what the movie does.

It points out where the strong parts are that you probably aren’t even paying attention to. And of course, it’s giving you these wonderful insights, like bending metal when it seems like it’s impossible. Or where ho’ oponopono comes from with Dr. Hulen helping to heal an entire ward of mentally ill criminals by working on himself. For the average person, this is Preposterous. This is incredible. This is miraculous. But for you and I and the folks that are in the movie, this is our reality. Exactly. And, and I have to say, having gotten to know a few of the people who are in the movie behind the scenes, we’ve connected in our own community.

Extraordinary people, but also their everyday people like you. We, we are all, we’ve all been through it. We’ve all been through those dark places, you know, we’ve all people. I’ve had people say, oh, you have a perfect life. I’m like, what? What are you talking about? I’m like, you have any idea how much I’ve studied and what I’ve been through or what you’ve been through to get here? This was not an easy path. A lot of learning, and I would say it’s still not an easy path. No, it can be. It can be. So let me address that for a moment here.

One is, people watch the movie the Secret, read the success literature, hear about you and I and other people that are in the movie the Secret, and they think we got it all figured out. We think, they think that there’s nothing but unicorns in our life and rainbows every morning and pot of gold at the front porch when we open the door and all of that wonderful stuff.

He’s written 90 books, he’s in 30 movies. He has his own movie out. Okay, good for him. I went through the pandemic, and during the pandemic I went through a divorce, was a three year persecution of my life and business.

And during the pandemic and during the divorce, my father died and my mother died and my best friend died and a family member attempted suicide shooting himself. And I developed a relationship with a woman who developed neuro Lyme disease. And she was on her deathbed and I was her caretaker. During a divorce, during a pandemic, during all these funerals, I had to learn how to change my beliefs, how to look at life differently, how to take it one day At a time, how to do what I could do in each moment, in each day, and get through it.

And obviously I did. So I think a big mistake is when people just think, okay, I learned about the law of attraction, or I learned ho’, oponopono. I got it made. Now, when you do have it made and you do have a tool, but you have to have the mindset that it might rain one day and it’s okay if it does, just be ready with an umbrella. It’s the ability to. I want to say detachment, to be neutral. Yes. So when you have something that happens and it’s emotionally charged, it will run you when you pull the emotion out.

Which is, I think, a huge part of the healing that the ho’ oponopono does, is that you now can look at it from a higher perspective and you can look down on it and go, okay, this is not about me. We’re going to get through it, and everything will be okay. You can’t change what happens, but you can change the way you feel about something. And that’s exactly right. You can change your story, you can change your perception. You can change your mindset, which ultimately we’re saying, bottom line, you can change your beliefs about it.

Something happens that it’s like, oh, my God, this is hard. But Seneca said, you can also look at it as easy. How do you do that? It’s the mindset. If you look at it like, okay, I can do this, and I can do this today. There was days when I got up and I thought, okay, I have to go to court, or I have to do blah, blah, blah, Can I do it? I don’t want to do it, but I can do it one day at a time.

It’s all fine. So it was becoming easy. And then the third thing was, he said, or it could even be amusing. That was a huge one. How do I make this look amusing? And I saw an interview with Jerry Seinfeld. And he had said, when there’s a tragedy in the world, the comics have the jokes that night. And he said, but they don’t tell them yet because the world’s not ready to laugh. But they have it because they saw it as amusing. And that opened up again, perception, belief system in my brain to go, you mean there’s a way to look at it as amusing.

And that shifted everything for me. And that’s what I’m offering to people as a tool. It’s like, yeah, we all know that when it rains, it might look like this is hard.

The world premiere, the VIP red carpet news, media friendly big deal is June 26th in Sacramento. And you have to get tickets because it’s standing room only. The theater only has so many seats. Los Angeles Tribune is going to be there covering it. Local media will be there covering it. Independent photographers will be there covering it. A lot of the cast will be there. I will be there.

Yes, they should go. A lot of people are thinking they’re just going to wait. But the movie won’t be streamed until maybe October late in the year, late of 2025. This movie is beyond it because we talk about Ho’, oponopono, teach it, give stories about it, reveal it, and Doctor who, lan who taught it to me.

There’s a little bit of footage of him in there from one of the events he and I did. But this movie is his story, and I really want people to go to the premiere. Don’t wait until it’s on Amazon or Apple tv. That’s the end of the year or next year. Go to your premiere. Go to the big VIP premiere in Sacramento, June 26th. Go to zerolimitsmovie.com I think the trailer is there. All the info is there. The premieres are there. Photos are there. You are there. I am there. Start there. ZeroLimitsMovie.com Beautiful. Yeah, I know that they’re happening around the world because a lot of the cast are in different places around the world. There’s going to be one in London and probably in the summer. I don’t have any dates for any of that. That’s why I say go to zerolimitsmovie.com I believe all the dates for premieres are being posted there. Yeah, they’re in process, so. Well, thank you so much.

This was such a pleasure and honor and I loved our conversation. And thank you so much for being my inspiration. And I know that this movie is going to help a lot of people. It’s going to be amazing.
