Kristen, thank you so much for joining me. How are you and what have you been up to? I am doing well, thank you so much. Getting a lot of sun in the winter, very important. But yeah, we’ve been doing so much research on this topic and I became really interested in it because both of my aunts ended up getting a GLP1 treatment. And it was really effective. It worked really, really well. And so it’s something that’s getting a lot of attention right now. And for people that don’t know what that is, GLP1 is called glucagon, like peptide 1.
So this is a natur natural hormone that your body releases after you eat. It’s something that’s already inside of all of us and it’s what helps us regulate our blood sugar, it slows our stomach emptying and it signals to our brain that we’re full. So it helps to reduce our appetite. And what’s been springing up are these GLP1 medications that work to mimic this hormone. So it’s not a natural thing. They’re mimicking what the hormone does. And so it’s helping people lose weight, which is kind of interesting because they weren’t originally developed for that purpose. I mean, these medications have been around over 20 years now.
They were originally developed to help treat type 2 diabetes. But when they found out that people started losing all this weight and as like the masses started finding out that people were losing weight, then they became kind of famous for that because they were losing significant amount of weight. But it’s been, you know me like, I’m not a physician, I’m not a doctor, but I’m a researcher, you know, and I always have a lot of questions. And so I started looking into a lot of what’s been happening and it was kind of alarming when I found out how big this industry’s gotten and what’s actually happening, like what people are actually experiencing.
Because everything sounds amazing, right? Like, wow, you lose weight so fast. No change in your diet, change in exercise. It’s like the ultimate hack. But it’s, it’s ending up causing a lot of problems for people. And it, of course, is very expensive as well. It is expensive. And I’ll tell you something. I want to just say I tried the GLP1, the retitute trial. I don’t know how to say it’s called. We’ll just keep it to ret. Okay? But this, this was injectable. I tried it. I’m not a fat guy, but yes, I wanted to lose my belly fat, which I did in a week very, very quickly.
And then I thought, okay, I’m done now. I don’t want to stay on this, so I need to just lay it off. And then as I was coming off it and I was eating more, I just started feeling really sick. And I was bedbound for about three days, and I just kept vomiting and vomiting and, and I couldn’t even drink water. I. I was so thirsty for water and I couldn’t even drink water. I was throwing that up and I was just throwing up, you know, clear liquid. I was just throwing up clean water, you know, and it was, and it done so much damage in my body at the time.
I was so disturbed. And it took me about a month or maybe two to three weeks to, to. To recover the lining of my stomach because it had been so irritated before. I could then eat again normally. And I’m a very big foodie. So for me, it disrupted my, you know, my, my, you know, my, my fun eating food. And that’s what I love doing. But, but yes. And I thought, you know what? I’m not risking my health again. I’ve heard a lot more worse stories than this. I’ve heard many stories of what I’ve gone through.
But yes, I, I want to stick to mental discipline and do this naturally. And if there is something that you’re going to be talking about later, I would be very interested to having a look at that. Yeah, absolutely. And you know, you’re not alone in experiencing what you experienced. It’s become so popular that we’re to the point now where one in five adults have tried one of the treatments, at least at some point in their life. That’s 20% of people have now tried this treatment. And most of them, again, over 40% of them are just for weight loss alone.
That’s their only goal in. To accomplish. And while most people like 40 to 70% of the people just experience kind of moderate symptoms like nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, stomach pain and bloating. They get headaches. Some people have sight reactions, you know, where the injections take place, which, you know, we see that a lot with our pets. You know, they, wherever they get shots, we start seeing reactions in those areas. But sometimes some of the other effects that were never intended and they’re not side effects of the treatment themselves. It happens because people lose weight so rapidly in an unnatural way, in a way that their body doesn’t really have time to adjust or rebalance.
And so there’s something called Ozempic face, which it’s really common now, where it’s like a sagging or a hollowed out look on your face, like your face gets sucked in because you lose the facial fat so quickly that your, your muscles, nothing has time to rebalance. People are noticing hair thinning, muscle loss just because of this rapid loss weight. And of course there are always very serious risks that are very rare, but they do happen. You know, people are reporting blindness and pancreatitis and gallbladder problems, kidney issues. Some people are even getting thyroid cancer as a result of it.
And, and that’s very rare. It can be happening. And so it’s just, you know, you look at all of that and I guess a fifth of all Americans feel like it’s worth it to take that risk and to say, okay, well my, the way I look I guess is more important to me than the way that I might potentially feel if I do have some of those side effects. So they take that chance knowing that there’s a 90% chance of this actually working for them to lose weight. And again, that’s very high. Right. If 90% of the people are losing weight like both my aunts did, then that’s a reason to, to just keep taking it.
But, but I wanted to share something with you, some research that I found. So I, I looked up first of all the costs because this is something that you’re meant to take for the rest of your life to maintain it, right? People are spending out of their own pocket 350 to $1,000 a month to be able to get these shots or take these pills. And then if you do stop taking it. Here are the common results. Two thirds of the people who lost weight regained their weight within one year of stopping the return of food noise.
So are you familiar with what food noise is? No. It’s this new phenomena that I think has always been happening. It just Has a name now. So that’s where you’re constantly thinking about what you’re going to eat, when you’re going to eat, what’s next. Even when you’re eating, you’re thinking about, okay, when’s my next meal going to be? What am I going to eat next? It’s this constant obsession with food, what you’re eating and when you’re eating it. I’m Greek, so I think it runs in my blood. It’s hereditary. Yeah, you know, we just greedy, fat pigs in our family.
Well, you have great food, so there’s a reason why the food noise is high. Yes. But a lot of people notice that the return of that food noise within just a couple weeks after their last dose. And then if they have experienced health gains from the weight loss, like improvements in blood pressure or cholesterol or blood sugar, they often drift back to toward their original levels once the drug is fully out of their system, which is only about five to seven weeks after the last shot. So you spent all that money, you went through all of that, you decide to stop, and it all just comes back within weeks to a year after stopping it.
So all of that stuff was really, really concerning to me and I even took a deeper look into, okay, so what’s actually happening when people are taking these types of treatments? So there are three things that are happening because we know that it mimics the glp, one hormone that’s released. So there are three things that are happening. Number one, it’s muting the hunger in the brain. So it crosses into the brain and it targets the hypothalamus and the brainstem that control appetite, which then helps to silence that food noise that people are experiencing. It lowers the food reward, so it blunts the dopamine surge your brain normally gets from eating high calorie foods, so that food becomes less exciting.
So for people like you and me that love to eat, it’s like taking the color out of the world, right? Terrible. Yeah. Do you know. Do you know. Do you know those digestive biscuits, do you have them in the United States? No. Well, they’re biscuits and they’re called digestives. You know, they’re just called digestives to forget. Nothing to do with digesting, you know, that, you know, to do with the digestive system. But the branding is, you know, you have it with tea, it’s got a layer of chocolate on top. It’s just a cookie. We call cookies biscuits over here.
And it’s a cookie with a chocolate layer on top. And because they’re called digestives. When I was a kid, I would have one because I thought it would help me digest my food. What’s the purpose of them? Just treat. Are they just cookies you have with coffee and tea? You know, you know, and because they’re called digestives, which is the brand name, can you see how it’s misleading? Especially, especially to children. And I, this, I experienced it firsthand. Okay. And yeah, they got you at a young age. You’re part of the loop at a young age.
But so you know, when you’re lowering that food reward, you’re not enjoying what you’re eating anymore because you’re not getting those dopamine hits. That, that food reward, it boosts your fullness signals, so it amplifies the stop eating signal that your brain receives. So having a smaller portion makes you feel more satisfied or satiated. So that’s the first thing it does. The second thing it does is it slows down your stomach. So in your digestive tract, GLP1s significantly delay gastric emptying, which is the speed which your food leaves your stomach and it enters into your intestines. So because the food stays in your stomach for an extended period, you physically feel full for hours after a small meal.
So you’re staying full longer. And it has a mechanical satiety as well, because that physical fullness sends continuous signals through your vagus nerve to your brain. So that reinforces the feeling that you don’t need more food, even though you do. Yeah, yeah. It’s crazy. And then the third thing that it does, and this is what it was originally intended for, is it stabilizes your blood sugar levels. So even if you don’t have diabetes or you’re not pre diabetic, it improves how your body handles glucose. So that’s what prevents those crashes you feel that lead to intense hunger.
Right. People’s blood sugars start to lower and they start going, oh, I’m hungry, or they start getting a headache or whatever happens, because they have lower blood sugar. So it creates insulin management, but it also creates glucagon suppression. So it prevents the liver from releasing too much extra sugar into the bloodstream. So it keeps your energy level stable and reduces those cravings for more sugar. So those are all of the things that are happening. And when you see what that’s actually doing to the body, then it makes sense why when people get off of it, all of that stuff just suddenly returns because it’s just overriding, overriding, overriding all of that natural signaling.
And it’s never really addressing the root causes of the metabolic imbalance that’s happening inside of the body, like stress or inflammation or gut dysfunction. Those are the true sources of the overeating or the blood sugar levels or the food noise or whatever it may be. So this is why holistic mushrooms offer a completely different approach. Because they’re not a medication. They don’t override the body signaling, they don’t mimic the hormone release, they don’t force appetite suppression. They’re just natural whole foods. We talk about this a lot. It’s just like eating a mushroom on a salad. Salad.

I do, and I guess I want to talk about some specific mushrooms and. And how it’s working in a different way. So, again, this is not a replacement for a GLP treatment.
It’s not even a promise for weight loss, because not everybody experiences weight loss because everybody’s body is different. Everybody metabolizes everything differently. But what they do is they’re supporting the systems. They’re going to the root cause of what’s creating that weight gain, Whether it’s hormonal, whether it’s a gut imbalance. No matter what it is, it’s going to the root cause of that, and it’s supporting that system. So, for example, we have the maitake mushroom. We have a product called Enforce Restore. But you know, all of these, all of these different things happen because all the appetite signals get dysregulated. Again, this is a root cause. Another mushroom that helps is the shiitake mushroom. We have that in the in force shield. It’s the orange bottle. And what the shiitake specifically does is it supports lipid metabolism and your lipid metabolism is what helps your body process fats more efficiently.
So instead of all those fats just storing up inside of you, you’re now metabolizing it and it’s converting it to energy, what it was originally intended for. Right? And I can’t go online or on social media without seeing some ad. I’m getting emails, like spam emails. GLP1 treatments. GLP1 treatments. Everywhere I look and inside, like, my heart is crying out like friends. There are foods that are natural that God has given us, that are abundantly growing, that can help us on a systemic level. We don’t have to do all these crazy things.
And I get why people do it. That’s the worst part. I understand why it’s important to them and I understand why it’s worth the money and worth the risk. But if there are better ways or different approaches that are more affordable, that don’t have a lot of those same risks, that are doing other great things for the body as well. Like, why not try that approach? You know? Absolutely. I mean, if you look back, you know, 50, 60 years ago at really old videos that I, that I would see of New York or London, and you see people walking around, everyone was Slim or, you know, 90, 95 people were really, really slim.
And, and I think it’s because of the food that has changed so much today. We’ve got so much processed food. It was the first time, just the other day, where I had a glass of milk on its own and I, I didn’t recognize the taste of milk the way, because I used to drink it a lot when I was a kid and even the milk has become processed and it’s changed so much. And I think this has caused us to imbalance the body inside that once that increases the food noise, that gets us to want to eat more and increases cravings.
And then Big pharma gives us synthetic solutions that doesn’t hit the root cause, like Ozempic, making us more ill, causing blindness and stuff like that. And all these, you know, natural, holistic ways with, with the, with the mushrooms and other things that have been censored and cures probably that we don’t know about have been censored probably because it doesn’t make any money. The money is not in the cure, they say the money is, is when the customer comes back. You know, they say that, you know, a, a, a cured patient. What was that? You know, a cure patient, a cured patient is a lost customer.
You know, so, so, yeah, so, but, but, but with Ozempic and the GLP ones, you’re spiraling down into a more worse, in a more worse condition later on. You’re damaging your body. It’s synthetic. It’s not causing the root cause. Whereas this is more natural. You know, this is balancing your body, improving your body, providing that we do eat healthy as, as well and not processed food. Because that’s what has caused the issue in my. Absolutely, yeah. And it’s not your opinion. I mean, it’s, there’s so much research and science that’s been done to back that up.
Our ancient bodies have not evolved as quickly as the food processing system has. So here we have these cells that need very basic things that are found all throughout nature. But, but we’ve learned how to synthetically create. And a lot of this is result of wars and all of these things. Right. We had to figure out other ways to do things and how to mimic, you know, all of these things. And you talk about being censored. One question that I always had is there’s hundreds, like hundreds of published studies by the top researchers in the world on the mechanisms.
These are the most scientifically validated mechanisms that exist, are found in these five mushrooms right here. They nourish our bodies in ways that no other food possibly can. So what they’ve been doing is they’ve been researching these mechanisms to try to figure out how they can mimic them or synthesize them so they can offer a treatment just like the GLP1 treatment that.
That mimics those. Those pathways, those. The activation of those pathways so that they can sell it then. Yeah. And make trill more trillions of more dollars off of it. So it’s like, oh, you’re withholding this from us. People are suffering and they’re struggling, and you’re withholding what you know to be true, to be able to profit off of it more. You know, we gotta. That system’s done. You know, it is done. And. And even if they are profiting, they are not interested in Prof. Luring. They. They want to profit and depopulate. That’s their biggest agenda because it’s easier to control a group that’s a lot smaller.
