All right, ladies and gentlemen, we have interesting dilemma and if you’ll permit me, we’re going to go to Channel 5 for in Chicago for a brief recitation of this story. And they don’t give you the whole story and that’s why I’m here. Okay, so let’s go here and enhance the sound so you can hear it quite clearly. And here we go. Tonight, NBC 5 investigates a case of agro terrorism.

Chinese nationals charged with trying to poison the food chain literally from the ground up. Investigative reporter Chuck Gowdy joining us now to break down this alleged plot. Chuck? STEFAN allison, alleged plot there’s already an indictment that’s been issued. I’ve seen the indictment. An indictment has been issued and this Democratically controlled news station here calls it an alleged plot. Weaponizing farm fields from here in Illinois and across the US Tonight is a growing threat, literally, according to federal law enforcement and terrorism experts. As crops grow, they are poisoned with microtoxins that can sicken animals and humans with almost impossible to trace illnesses.

Tonight, rare charges against two Chinese nationals accused of smuggling fungus into the Midwest aimed at infecting farmland Farm fields would become the new battlefields for these two Chinese nationals, according to federal law enforcement officials who tonight say the couple smuggled a. There’s your indictment right there on screen. Axious fungus into the US Intending to use it, they say as a potential agroterrorism weapon. 33 year old university of Michigan employee Tung Wing Jian, post doctoral student at a US University. Are there any implications there for you? Think Donald Trump, think courts that have blocked him from taking action in cases that are potentially like this is in custody in Detroit being held without bond while her 34 year old boyfriend, Dr.

Zhen Yong Liu is a fugitive in China where he works at a Chinese university. They are accused of flying to the US Carrying fungus in these small plastic bags, bags that would be used to infect farm fields from the ground up. It’s intended to disrupt the food chain. Tonight, University of Illinois Chicago public health professor Dr. Gerald Lykin says farm animals and people would have become sick had this plot been carried out, he says, with Soviet era microtoxins apparently obtained by the Chinese government. And let me explain, interesting aside here on this, there used to be a show on USA Network, outstanding show.

And it was cast in 1980s America when Reagan was president. And it was about a couple that was brought together to pretend to be married and they actually had children in the United States, became U.S. citizens that would be groomed to be Soviet spies. And these people spoke perfect English, had complete understanding of the culture. They were trained for years by the KGB before they came here. This was a real program program and the series was called the Americans. Interestingly enough, one of their best friends, a neighbor, was an FBI agent who was ignorant to them for years.

This was a tremendous TV show. In one of the episodes they had, they found, they went and they killed an American scientist who they thought was actually poisoning or attempting to poison Soviet wheat supplies in this manner, when in actuality they found out they got duped and it was being done to America and they didn’t know it and they had a little attack of conscience because they thought innocent people here. This is no longer about political ideology, Communists versus the Republic. This is about killing innocent people, wrecking food supply, causing famine. They had a little bit of how loyal are we going to be to this regime? And this planted a seed in the man, the star of this show, his feelings towards what he was doing.

The woman remains steadfast. This is really interesting. This is Soviet era technology that was attempted to have been done in this country or prior and was caught. It was kept on the QT for years and when it was finally released 25 years later, there was barely a notice given. Barely. Thus this can result in literally billions of dollars in trying to find out where the source is. So it can cause a massive disruption of the food process. So if you found a case like this, let’s say Illinois wheat field or Michigan or Colorado, you would have to stop the production and distribution of all agriculture from that region.

What’s not known to me that I wondered when I first saw the story is what if this antagonist gets on the windstream and when does it become communicable between human to human? They’ve already told you in this story it’s deadly to cows. It would cause billions of dollars of damage, deadly to other farm animals, and would have made humans extremely sick. What does extremely sick mean? Is this softening the blow of the story that this was a direct biological attack on the United States? Well, that’s how the US Department of Justice is taking it. Now we have cycled through this story.

Let me bring you back here to the disposition. When was this discovered? You would probably think, what’s recent? We just found out and the DOJ is doing the responsible thing by filing very serious federal charges that could lock these people up for most of the remainder of their lives. That’s not true. This case is one year old. This was found by the FBI in the Biden administration as the campaign was taking off. In fact, I believe it was about a week before the debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump that led to Biden’s demise as a candidate.

Why did the Biden administration sit on this? From May of 2024 until they left office in January of 2025, the Trump administration was forced to discover this on their own from an internal Doge report that turned this up as they were looking for cost savings in fraud, waste and abuse they found abuse. Abuse that was not economic but was a threat to every single American in this country. And yet this administration and their leftist allies did nothing to protect you. Now Democrats out there hearing me and I know a lot of you listen to me and I’m glad you’re here.

Lean in a little closer. This agro terrorism is not a respecter of political ideology. You and your children were at risk. This is very serious and I don’t know if we’re ever going to see the slow walking of this as being a criminal offense. And we’ll see people turned out who knew about this and prosecuted. That would be my hope. I don’t know if it can go that far. But I want to point out another situation I alluded to earlier. This is being done at a Michigan University with a foreign born CCP member. And I’m going to talk about her allegiance to the CCP in a minute.

This individual postdoctoral fellowship and an employee of the university from China. Card carrying CCP member. And part of this court case involves the fact that she signed a promissory declaration that she would adhere to the four pillars of the ccp. One of those is the effective elimination of all enemies of the ccp. And there she is working right under our noses. And this plot would have come to fruition had it not been for good. Employees at the Detroit airport that said there’s something not right with this guy and they conducted a random search and in his backpack they found the pathogen for agroterrorism had it not been for those employees.

And we like to malign the TSA and so forth, they did their job here and they prevented a huge catastrophe. But how many other plots are like this that are looming out there waiting to victimize us? Members of Trump’s cabinet, and I’ve heard them say this many times from Cash Patel right on down the line and they’re all saying the same thing, China is our enemy. Well, yeah, we opened up a new island base that we used to fly the bomber to drop atomic bombs on Hiroshima, Nagasaki 80 years ago. That’s a fact. Tenant is the name of the island.

Diego Garcia, Guam. We’re forming alliances with Australia, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam against China. The military has already declared war on China and they’re trying to intimidate them through strength and widening the defensive perimeter that China must cover. So on one hand in our government, we have a declaration of enemy combatant facing us that we don’t trust and we’re prepared to take military action and not to mention the threat against Taiwan. On the other hand, we have American universities that harbor revolutionaries who are guilty of violence, extreme racial prejudice and hate crimes. And right on down the line of everything that’s anti American.

And now we have the support of the Communist Chinese. And I will tell you that I live in an area where this is rampant in Arizona, the state universities deeply tied into China. And I’ve exposed this, as many others have, down the line. Now, on the surface, it looks harmless. Oh, we’re just forming sister city agreements. Yeah. And all the agreements favor China over America. They’re all one sided. It’s just like the trade balance. Many people are asking the question, how widespread is the betrayal of American welfare to the benefit of foreign adversaries present in American universities today? And I can’t say all or half or a third, I don’t know.

But what I’ve seen since Trump has come into power and what I’m seeing here in this case is great cause for concern. And this is why Trump is cracking down on who gets a student visa. If you’re aligning with a declared terrorist group, you’re subject to deportation. And yet federal district court judges who are violating their territorial jurisdiction to rule against Trump are trying to prevent protecting American citizens. I’m making a couple of demands here as an American citizen. Number one, Congress, do your job. You have the ability to defund or impeach these judges who are violating, regardless of how they’re ruling.

But they’re violating their jurisdictional authority, acting like they’re the Supreme Court and they’re taking over the executive branch of the government. And in particular, they’re preventing the Trump administration from, from protecting the general public against threats such as these. And I’m calling on America that this is a call to arms. Oh, not literally arms, meaning you need to get in touch with your federal officials that you have some control over and make demands that things change. And in particular, it’s the left. And I’m going to comment on what happened in Boulder. You had a guy who should not have been in this country.

He overstayed his visa and he attacked it in. Attacked innocent protesters, actually, demonstrators. They weren’t protesting. They were saying, please free the hostages. Well, if I was there, I would probably want to march with them, too, because I don’t like the hostage situation, as I know none of you do. And I suspect most of the Democratic voters out there don’t think that’s okay either. But the media and the Democratic Party are making excuses for this guy. It’s Trump’s rhetoric that drove him to this. If that’s not the biggest case of horse manure I’ve ever heard, I’d be hard pressed to find it.

And what we have is people like Hakeem Jeffries saying, I don’t care about protecting the American public. I care about furthering a political agenda. And we don’t care what the cost is. This is collateral damage America. I don’t think you understand. As many people are saying now, we are still on a collision course for civil war. We have the immovable force against the irresistible object. And it, first of all, the MAGA people can’t give in because public safety is in effect. I mean, it’s like this case here with agroterrorism. On the other hand, the hard line Democratic Party, like the Squad, for example, Bernie Sanders allies.

They don’t care how many Americans are harmed through their policies. And their policies are centered around Maoist revolutionary techniques for cultural, political and economic disruption. And I’ve been pointing this out for years. I said, this is out of the Mao playbook. And I’ve actually talked to fellow Democrats hang together. I know them occasionally I socialize with them because they’re friends and they don’t deny this. They said, yeah, it’s an unfortunate byproduct of what our party has done. The Democrats don’t even deny what I just said. And one of them is a real prominent Democrat in the Phoenix area.

And I don’t plan to expose them because they’re not really in favor of it. They just don’t have the courage to speak up. Let me give you example. We just had a bill pass Congress regarding protecting you against things like this. All but one Democrat voted against the bill to Protect America and the one just abstained. It’s the hive mentality of the left that is supporting things like this that needs to be stopped. Now, am I in favor of everything that the Trump administration is doing? No. And I’m going to talk about one other thing here before we close.

ICE is going around to courts and getting the courts to dismiss trial proceedings for asylum hearings. And then they’re arresting people for being in the country illegally. They can do it legally. They’re not acting illegally. They’re acting within the balance of the Constitution. But I think some of this is a bad look. I know why they’re doing it because they’re afraid the liberal judges will say, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, you saw someone look at your cross eyed, your former country and therefore we’re giving you asylum. And you can go back to your, whatever your illegal activities were, if there were any.

And we’re not going to do anything to you. They’re afraid of judges like that. And there are judges like that. We’ve seen them at the federal district court level and they exist at the lower levels too. And we saw that with that Wisconsin judge who attempted to obstruct an ICE proceeding and she’s facing prison. Okay, but let me just give you the downright look of this. Someone shows up for their asylum hearing and they’ve been granted this. I think they’re entitled to have it now. It’s legal. If it’s canceled, they can be deported. That’s legal. But I think it’s a bad look.

Let them have their asylum hearing. You can detain them and try them in a D.C. jurisdiction under the federal government’s auspices. And who’s in charge of that? Oh, her name would be Janine Pirro. And I think she’s fair minded enough to say this person deserves it. This person’s using this as a smokescreen. This gives ammunition to the left to call ICE the Gestapo. They’re not Gestapo, but it’s what you hear constantly in the media. And it’s going to affect the midterm elections because people caught in the middle who are ignorant, living their lives, paying scant attention to current events are going to be persuaded by these claims.

Trump is Hitler and Elon Musk was Mussolini. And they’re being persuaded. And this is one of the ways they’re being persuaded. Give them their day in court. If they’re legally assigned to court. I wonder what the left would say then, because then you can appeal detain on the appellate procedure and put them in a federal district court to look and actually an appellate court to look at the jurisdictional authority. And was it a proper ruling? See, there are legal ways and ethical ways around this. And I, I think ICE is looking like bullies, even though they’re technically following the law.

And my purpose here is not to let the Democrats win the House in 2026. And if history follows here, they will win the House. I don’t want to give them any ammunition. Play by the rules to the hilt, but then use the system for doing what’s right to, to protect Americans. And that’s all I asked for. And I’m going to tell you this too, and this is something that I think should be considered in my report. I am the son, one side of my family, my father’s side of, of immigrants. I’m sympathetic to white people have to live.

I grew up hearing this from the older members of my family when I was a child, and this is why I think the cause of liberty is so deeply ingrained in my being. My mom’s side of the family was part of that Ford clan. They were the Jenkins part of it and they were well to do and got killed in the Depression and Henry Ford never warned him about what he knew was coming and he took proactive steps and the hell with the rest of his family. And I’ve heard about justice and fairness from that side of the family growing up.

Those virtues underlie what I’m telling you right here that are ingrained in me. And you don’t have to agree with me. But let me ask you all a question. If you don’t agree with what I’ve said here, how would you keep the American people safe? How would you present the best political posture possible for the 2026 midterm elections? How do we want to appear to be in terms of fairness and ethics and protecting the American people? And how do we stop our universities from posing such a either purposeful or inadvertent danger to the American people? If you’ve got better ideas, I would welcome them.

I don’t sit on Mount Olympus and looking down on the population and saying this is the way it should be. What I want is fairness, justice and safety. What say you?
