The Laws of EGO Duality

This is the devil inside each of us. It is likened to the serpent that convinced Eve to eat of the forbidden fruit of the tree. Our ego, self, was never a part of what our source gave to us. It is not part of our soul. It is something we created due to our free will of choice and thoughts. Ego produces only negative life occurrences. Ego is shown when Adam told God he was afraid because ego is fear. Fear is an illusion. It does not exist, but only in our mind as we allow it to. We are told throughout the ancient writings and the biblical translation to not be afraid because fear cannot be seen.

It is ego that Eve created and enticed Adam to take of the fruit of the tree of knowledge. It is ego that has caused us, in this physical form, to be separated from our source. It is ego that must be removed in order to be in spirit. In A Course of Miracles it states, The ego is fearful of you because we now know that the whole separation fallacy lies in the belief that the ego has the power to do anything. Yet the truth is very simple. All power is of God. What is not of him has no power to do anything.

When we look at ego, we are seeing a delusion of nothing, a self-inflicted condition of the mind. The law of duality. Basically the definition here is that in everything there is an opposite. Good versus evil, love versus hate, light versus darkness, healthy versus unhealthy, prosperity versus poor, abundant versus lack, etc. etc. When Adam and Eve ate the fruit from the tree of knowledge and opened their minds to this knowledge of good and evil, they immediately understood that they now live in a world of duality. We have within us both the good and evil.

Good is the soul of God given to us in this physical body, and evil being the ego created by our mind. Through our free will of choice, we can either live a life of ego or a life in spirit. It is only when we are in spirit are we able to use the attributes of our source to co-create our life experiences. Let’s now wrap the story up as it relates to the identity of our universal laws. We pick up with the fact that Adam and Eve did eat of the tree of knowledge, and their eyes were opened to the knowledge of good and evil.

Upon eating the fruit of the tree of life, they saw that they were naked. When God appeared in the garden and called for Adam, his response was that they were in hiding and afraid. Based upon having opened their eyes by eating of the fruit of the tree of knowledge, God laid out the knowledge they needed to go forth from this point in time of their own minds instead of the guidance from their soul. He told Eve what she would come to know since she has chosen living from self. He stated that she would bear multiple conceptions, and in doing so she would give birth with tremendous pain.

He told Adam that he and Eve would come to know physical death, Genesis 3 verse 19, for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
