Summary

➡ Marjorie is moving from her house in Calvace. She’s been busy cleaning and tidying up the house, including pressure washing the patio. She’s grateful for the move as she’s found a bigger place closer to town, which will be cheaper. The move has been challenging, especially moving a school bus to the new location, but she’s had help from many people. She’s leaving behind one duck she couldn’t catch and a small part of her compost pile.

Hey, this is Marjorie, and if I look exhausted, it’s because I am. When I’m moving, this is the last the last moments that I’m gonna be at this house in Calvace, and yeah, I’ll take you through all the work. We’ll echo away because we’re doing all kinds of cleaning and scrubbing and, you know, wiping the trim on the baseboards and, you know, all the stuff, cleaning out the bathrooms, and yeah, just taking care of everything. Getting the kitchen nice and tidied. Jeffrey didn’t let me turn this off because I’m gonna leave after this.

Jeffrey just got done pressure washing the patio. Aren’t you really nice? Good, good. Everything’s nice and close. Yeah, so I really, really, really am grateful that the owner, you know, basically gave me a deadline to move out. I mean, I had been looking, and then having a deadline really pushes you a little harder, and the place I found is so much better. Yeah, so look here, I had him pressure wash this because, you know, I had ducks and rabbits and cavies, and this wheel I needed cleaning. So yeah, and I found a place that is twice as big.

I’m negotiating tomorrow. I think ultimately I’m gonna be able to lease the neighbor’s lot next door, so I’ll have an acre of land way, way closer into town, so trips into town are gonna be so much shorter, and overall it’s gonna end up costing a lot less. So like, so glad I did it, but oh my god, it’s been a crazy week. Now one of the things I wasn’t able to get, and there is this one duck that we have not been able to catch, and all the other, the other seven are there, and I keep telling her, mama, if you come with me, I’ll be able to get you home again.

I had a net, we tried everything. I had four or five people at one point in time trying to corner her, and she just wasn’t gonna go. So anyway, that’s about the only thing that I’m leaving behind. A little bit of my compost pile, not much. So yeah, it’s been eight days now, getting up at six in the morning and just going all day long. You know, we moved the bus. Wait till I show you at the new house. There’s laws of matter where you can’t, like two physical objects can’t occupy the same space.

That’s like a law. I think they somehow violated that when they got the school bus in. I’ll show you the turn off. Well you remember, like this spot up here is just frigging insane to have parked a school bus up here in this place where I had it, right? You know, like there’s this like, it’s not even a hairpin turn to get this up in here. It was parked right here, if you remember, right here where I’m walking now, and yeah, and then they had just this little tiny area, and the bus doesn’t drive, so they had to tow truck to move this thing and then get it down this road.

And in the other place, there’s an equally crazy turn. And again, it was two tow trucks and three men. And I was coming up with plan B and plan C and plan D in case they couldn’t get it in there, but they did. Yeah, just unbelievable talent with machines and big heavy machinery. It is incredible. And then just, I just almost, like it’s just amazing because it’s overwhelming. I get a lot of stuff, right? I’m a farmer, I’ve got livestock, I get cages and pens, and then I’ve got equipment. And I’m, and just crew after crew of people came, and a bunch of them were just like, hey, you know, I saw the thing on WhatsApp, and I just put out a couple of calls on a couple of groups in a man, and I said, hey, I need help moving.

Hey, I’ve got a truck, I’m a man, I’ve got muscles, you remember me? I’m Greg or whatever. What time you want me there? You know, I just, people coming and working, working really hard, and it’s hot, right? And just getting it done. Like, I got everything moved off of this property, and then I had a store room, about 200 square feet, where I bought, been buying a bunch of stuff, and everything moved. It was just, it’s like all my stuff is in this one property now, which is just amazing. And I’m going to have enough room to do the rabbit breeding and the cavy breeding, and to really be able to build up those businesses and build up that service just in time for all the stuff to fall apart.

So, anyway, I just wanted to say farewell to this particular place. I, let’s see, in the last, I was counting this up, so in the last, what is it, 2026, so in the last seven years, I’ve had a divorce. Oh, death of Greece. Death moved significant household 10 times, closed a business. I mean, I probably should be dead right now, and I’m still standing and pretty strong. Probably going to collapse next week. I’m living on coffee and chocolate, but anyway, my next lease is for a year, and for me, that’s like the definition of stability.

And I can’t wait to talk to you. I’ve got a whole list of things going on, but it looks like this whole SpaceX IPO with the chat GPT and the, and the anthropic, like they’re doing those like, like in the next week or two, and then creating a whole bunch of FOMO and everything. I think that’s the mechanism for how Larry Fink was saying, they were asking, he did a famous interview, it’s been going around the internet, you’ve probably seen it where he’s saying, they’re like, how are you going to pay for all these data centers and all this stuff? And he said, we’re going to get it from the American public.

We’re going to get it from their savings accounts, their retirement accounts, their insurance companies. And yeah, they’re using these IPOs. I’ll explain it in another one, but that’s coming up real soon. It’s been great to have a week where I’m not particularly paying a lot of attention to that. I had a, I had a really interesting insight and, you know, some riding, I’m in this car, I’m in that truck, whatever, you know, whatever we got to do, we’re going here and there. And then I’m riding in this car with a girlfriend and she’s got just the music going.

And I don’t listen to commercial music anymore. Like that’s their system. There’s their messaging and all that in it. And this one song came on, I thought, well, now this is a really good song. What, I wonder what, what’s wrong with this song, right? And it was the one like, what if God was one of us, you know, just someone on the bus trying to make their way home. I’m sure you’ve heard that song, I’ve sung it a hundred times. And this time for the first time I heard it, there’s a line in there like, what if God was one of us, a slob like one of us? And I’m like, wait a minute, I’m not a slob.

Am I singing this song and agreeing that I’m a slob? You know, I don’t think God’s one of us. God’s not human. God is, you know, God’s are made up by humans. There it is. You know, there it is. You know, you just can’t trust any of that commercial music. Here I am. God, if I can’t get that song out of my head, they really do a good job of getting the rhythms and the lyrics and the timing to where, you know, yes, I got to get a new, new set of music in my head.

Might go back to When Some Kind. Remember that group? They’re these wonderful little songs and they do it in 432. Anyway, interesting insight. So I’m going to do my best to get this up and get back on a regular walk and talk schedule. I’m recording this now. I don’t even have my computer hooked up in the internet. We could get that up done in the next day or two. But yeah, this is a door closing and I’m sure there’ll be another one opening. So if you’re in the middle of a move or you’re in the middle of a life change or in your middle of something, I’m with you, man.

I’m with you, sister. I’m with you, brother. Life is crazy and we’re in a vortex. All right, I’ll talk to you later. [tr:trw].
