Summary
➡ The text discusses the importance of Easter and the teachings of the Bible, emphasizing how they should be applied daily. It explores the growth of the church as recorded in the book of Acts, detailing its expansion from Jerusalem to the rest of the world. The text also highlights the transition of the Gospel from Jews to Gentiles, and the challenges faced by the apostles in spreading the word to the Gentiles due to cultural differences. Lastly, it underscores the power of faith and salvation through Jesus Christ, and the necessity of understanding and applying biblical principles to gain control over worldly and demonic influences.
➡ This text discusses the process of receiving the Holy Spirit and redemption through faith in Jesus Christ. It emphasizes that this process requires no action on our part and is sealed in our hearts. The text also explores the concept of God’s energy source, which is both inside and outside of us, and how living up to the light (knowledge) we have leads to more light (energy). Lastly, it narrates the story of Cornelius, a non-Jew who lived up to his light, attached himself to Judaism, and received salvation through the Holy Spirit.
➡ Peter’s sermon in the Bible teaches that God doesn’t favor any particular group of people, but offers salvation to everyone, regardless of their background or status. Peter, who was once biased against non-Jews, learns and shares this message, emphasizing that God’s love and salvation are available to all. This sermon also highlights that God is patient, waiting for people to turn to Him, and that anyone who respects God and tries to do what’s right is looked upon favorably by Him. The sermon concludes with the idea that as we approach death, we might become more aware of our spiritual selves.
➡ This text discusses the concept of salvation in Christianity, emphasizing that it can only be achieved through Jesus Christ. It uses the story of Cornelius, a righteous man who lived according to his understanding of God, but was not saved until he learned about and accepted Christ. The text also highlights that no matter how good a person is, they cannot reach salvation without crossing the ‘bridge’ of Jesus Christ. Lastly, it asserts that all people, regardless of their living conditions or social status, have the right to know Jesus and achieve salvation through him.
➡ This text emphasizes the importance of peace and how it can only be achieved through faith in Jesus Christ. It suggests that humans are naturally in conflict with God and themselves, leading to chaos and lack of peace. However, through accepting Jesus Christ, individuals can find peace with God, themselves, and others. The text also highlights that peace is not just the absence of war, but a state of harmony that can only be achieved when Jesus Christ is at the center of it.
➡ This text emphasizes the importance of finding peace through Christ, who is described as the source of life and energy. It explains that despite our sins, we can find peace and connection with the divine through Christ’s sacrifice. The text also stresses that there is no salvation apart from Jesus Christ, and that understanding and accepting this is the only way to achieve true peace. It concludes by recounting the story of Jesus’ baptism and the start of his ministry, emphasizing his role as a healer and liberator.
➡ Jesus, anointed by God’s Spirit, declared himself as the Messiah who came to heal and free people. He spent his time doing good and healing those oppressed by the devil, showing his power over evil. This was part of a larger spiritual war between God and Satan, where Jesus aimed to destroy the devil’s works. All sickness is linked to the devil as it’s part of the sinful world, and Jesus fought against this by healing and even resurrecting people, showing God’s power through him.
➡ This text discusses the spiritual journey of understanding and accepting Christ. It suggests that we are born into a chaotic world controlled by negative forces, but through accepting Christ and being ‘born again’, we can reverse this chaos and grow in our knowledge of God. The text also emphasizes the importance of maintaining purity in our actions and thoughts, as this can influence our spiritual growth and connection with God. Lastly, it encourages us to trust in God’s control over world events, even when they seem chaotic.

And I’ve sort of grouped them. Another thing that we’re going to do is because I got a lot of feedback with regards to people liking the discussion on Sunday, the written discussions that we have, but they want an audio version. So we’re going to repurpose what we’ve done into an audio format and create podcasts. And I’m not sure if we’re going to do it individually. I’m working with some technical folks on that or actually group them together as a subject matter and they’d be grouped together within that as we repurposed it. So anyway, more to come.
I’m just giving you sort of a heads up. The other thing that you saw was the websites are now changing. This is software from wix. It’s not me. And the forums, as our discussion forums are in the format they that that piece of software is actually going to be deleted and they’re moving everything to groups. You’re going to see a little bit of change in format. But the process of groups is no different than forums other than it provides some easy, easy way of getting people in, into certain discussions. So anyway, so this is Sunday morning.
We, we’re in the Book of Acts. We’re taking our time here a little bit in looking at the start of the church in conjunction with Ephesians, which we’re dealing with individual application. This happens to be the church which is actually you, but it’s more of the group and an understanding of history about the church. A lot’s coming out in, in current media right now about historical basis of our history as far as the United States goes and as far as the church history. More and more of that is coming out as well. So let’s get going.
We’re gonna, we’re gonna Talk about Part 4 again on the salvation of the Gentiles. That’s what we’re doing today. And we’re going to. Again, it’s in chapter 10. It’s the transition chapter. And we’re looking at the transitions from Jews to Gentiles through Peter and Paul, all that stuff. So this is the transition chapter for all of that. So if you guys let me do this. All right, if you want to. I just muted everybody, so if you want to say something, just let me know. Or you can unmute yourself, by the way. So. Okay. And chat’s off.
So when you. When we look at this chapter, we get to the point now in this discussion that we need to begin to focus on the reason for the church. And in doing so, we have to look at the life of Christ. And many of us in current culture today focus our attention to this, not as we’re doing on a weekly Bible study, but are they’re focused on this on a once a year occasion in remembrance of his death, burial and resurrection. And we call that Easter, which commemorates his death and resurrection. So the re. The.
This resurrection happens to be at the center of our entire history. It is the culmination of the time when it shifts from being individually separated from Christ like the Old Testament saints were, because the Spirit did not live with them inside of them. It only came and went as God directed it to do so based upon the tasks that God had assigned individuals to do. But this point in time in history is the critical point which shifts all of history. And you can, you can see that shift in everything if you study the true history now, it happens to be the greatest event in history for the life of a Christian.
And it’s only that some people haven’t recognized it as such in understanding the true history. We’re in a continuum of creation. We’re, we’re in that with our sub stack. And you know, you know, we’re studying that in the sub stack in a way that basically put the pieces together from a historical representation. So the Bible tells us that Jesus Christ came into the world to die. His sole purpose was to die. And he himself said that for the Son of Man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister and to give his life. A reason for many.
He came to die. That was his whole reason for coming. And it said that. But there’s much more historical implications or not implications, results of that death in what we now can understand about who we are, who Christ is our biological structure tied to that. So there’s a lot of things that they’re the result of that death. So he came, he also came to live again in John chapter two, verse 19. And following, he said to the leaders of Israel in the temple, destroy this temple, and in three days I’ll raise it again. This was a prophecy or a statement about him to the people in the temple that he didn’t even understand what he had said because they didn’t have a relationship.
At the home of Mary and Martha, he said, I am the resurrection and the life. On another occasion, he says, because I live, ye shall live also. So we’re getting into looking at the church now from the base baseline of Jesus Christ. So Jesus came to die for sin, for all of our sin, and he came to rise again for our life and for the Christian, two separate things, your life and a Christian. Your life, salvation, your Christian, your walk. Easter is no different than any other day, of course. It’s just a calendar contact to refresh our minds of that which is our very life.
Now, we know that Easter was set on the calendar by Constantine. We know that going back in history that Easter is a pagan holiday, not a holiday in, in the world associated with Christianity because they were worshiping Estar, not Jesus Christ, and they had rituals on Easter that we don’t follow today. At least, hopefully we don’t. So it’s just another calendar day. The world talks about Easter at Easter, and it doesn’t talk. And the world doesn’t talk about Easter any other time, but the Christian talks about Easter all the days of our life, or we’re supposed to, because that Easter represents the death and resurrection of Christ.
So for the life we live isn’t even ours, right? We own nothing. We are nothing. We own nothing. We’re stewards of whatever we have. And we are living in a world of being created ourselves. So the end results. We can go home. So for some of you, this, this resurrection Sunday is on your calendar. For most of you, it’s just another resurrection day in your life, if you, if you follow what I’m saying. If you’re living the Christian life, you’re living resurrection every day of your life. What makes the difference? Well, why is Easter to some people a calendar event and to other people a way of living? The difference is that some people have personalized the resurrection, your walk with Christ, your sanctification in Christ.
And some people know about it, some people live it. And really, it all boils down to whether or not you have appropriated the death and resurrection of Christ for your very own. In fact, for those of us who know about Easter and we know what it really means, and for those of us for whom every day is Resurrection Day. The world’s commercial commercialization of Easter is almost offensive. You get all of the commercialization not only just to the world, but I mean, your, your clothing stores, restaurants, all of this stuff is a commercial commercialization of a day in order to what, make money? It’s sort of out of the world jumping on the bandwagon when they really don’t, you know, even know what it’s all about.
And so I say this very honestly. If Easter is something to you for a once a year event, then it’s really nothing to you at all. And you, and you come to celebrate Easter is like taking a corpse to a party because you don’t know what you’re celebrating at all. But see, we have some good news. You know, there was a man who came from God and his name was John, as scripture tells us. He says, I have been sent from God to give you the best news you’ve ever heard. And the news is this. Because he lives, you can live.
And you don’t need to go through Easter like a corpse at a party about life. You can live your life to the fullest with all of the blessings from heaven. Ephesians 1:3. And Easter can be your way of life as it is, is for me and for most of us who are gathered together today, Easter should be, or what we identify with, Easter should be exactly how we live our life every day. And so John comes with great joy and he’s thrilled to make this announcement. And he says it, he says it in a very vivid matter of fact way.
Now, one of the best sermons that ever was preached on this subject came by Peter. He got it from God. And we find that in Acts, chapter 10. So for some of you, Easter isn’t really what it’s meant to be, but it can be. If you apply the principles of the Bible to your life, you can know the resurrection in your experience every day. You can know what it is to really live, to be alive to God. But in order to be alive to God, we must hear the message. As we come now into further study of Acts, chapter 10.
We’ve been, we’ve been studying this book of Acts for some time. And in the wisdom of the Spirit of God, we, we have learned quite a bit and we’re going to continue to learn more today. I hope he preserved and guarded our study on that. When we landed on this particular resurrection Day, we would be taking part in talking about the resurrection. But that’s not unusual for God to set the timing for the message. He did. The Same thing in the Gospel of John, and he did it throughout the other gospels. And so the Spirit of God has a very special message for us to hear.
And it’s the message that Peter gave in the house of the man named Corneas to him and to his household. Now let me give you a little background just to bring us up to speed so that the points roll nicely from one to another. And we actually begin in the book of Acts, which is one of the most important books in the New Testament. It’s the only historical book in the New Testament in the purest sense of the word. It records for us the growth of the church from its birth to its first early years. Jesus has already died.
In the chronological order of the New Testament, he has been buried, he is risen again, ascended to heaven. And having ascended to heaven, he sent back his Spirit to form his church and to live in his church and to indwell in his church. This happened in the second chapter of Acts. The Spirit of God came, the church was born. And then in Acts chapter two through ten, we where we come today, the church has been growing and it’s been growing by Jewish culture, it’s been grown by Jewish people until Peter goes to the house of Cornelius.
People have been coming to Christ. People have been coming alive with resurrection life, first of all in Jerusalem. Then they moved in the Spirit of God moved him and they went into Judea, Samaria. And now they’re taking, they’re beginning to shift to where this gospel is going to go throughout the rest of the world as identified at that time. And in doing so we also learn from our substack that as that shift occurred, so did the governmental pagan control over society. It was actually exercised out of the culture and made dormant until we have allowed the gods to return.
We’re, we’re studying that in return of God’s study, as we’re doing now. Now there’s a tremendous moving of the Spirit of God at this time. And people were saved and they acknowledged Christ and they came alive. And then they reached outside of Jerusalem. The Jews who were living in Greek speaking countries, who had come to Jerusalem for the feast and certain such important things they were, they had, were entered into the church by faith in Jesus Christ. Then the church reached out to half breed Samaritans, half Jew, half Gentile. They heard the gospel, they believed they were placed in the Spirit of God, into the church.
And as we come to the 10th chapter of Acts, the last great extension of the church takes place. Okay, so as the commission was laid out by Christ. It will start in Jerusalem, it will go to Judea, it will go to Samaria and then the other postmaster parts of the world, what you see is Jews, Jerusalem, Jews, Judea, Jew, Gentile, half breed Samaria and then Gentile. So that is the transition process of moving the Gospel throughout the world. That is the transition process in the book of Acts. That’s the, that follows the dispensation. So everything is identified in a plan as it, as we’re laying it out for you.
The Church reached out to half breed Samaritans, half Jews, half Gentiles. They heard the Gospel, they believed, then they placed, they were placed in the spirit of God into the Church. And as we come now, we now have the last extension of the church takes place. It has reached Jerusalem’s Jews, Hellenistic Jews, Judea, the Samaritans, the half breeds. And the last step is the uttermost part of the earth. And it is to reach the Gentiles. Now this was a mystery. We already understand that this was a mystery. It was identified as a mystery. Paul said it was a mystery.
Christ had not disclosed the Church. The concept of the Church in the Old Testament prophecy was made to actually having Gentiles being saved. But nowhere in scripture, Old Testament scripture, leading up to Christ, when he came into life, lived his life. The only time the church was identified was after his death. Lucifer had no way of knowing this. Had he known this according to scripture, he would have already put roadblocks in place to prevent the Church from being created just like he. When God notified Lucifer in the garden that there’s going to be a man be born of a virgin virgin that will come and destroy you, he put in effect a bloodline process of corruption.
Had he known about the Church, he would have done the same thing. But that didn’t happen. It only happened as a result of Christ doing that. And what happened was is this. Christ won the victory over Lucifer, got those two keys back. Lucifer was, was relinquished from having complete control over this world to now only having control over the power of the air. And those believers that that came to faith in the gospel had the original dominion. Control over Lucifer in the demonic world like was given to Adam prior that prior to transgression. But the only way that we could exercise that dominion is through Jesus Christ.
Hear me out. You have no control zero over this world. The demonic controls of this world and the demonic controls over what happens to you unless you’re saved, sanctified in Christ. And it’s through him that you now have dominion. Over that realm. So if you’re not saved, you have no control. If you are saved and put Christ in a box, the only thing that’s protected is your spirit. Everything else you have no control over. Unless you go back to Jesus Christ through sanctification and understand how to apply the principles to your life. So that gives you dominion over, over this world.
So the Church began and found it was founded by Lord Jesus Christ when he sent his Holy Spirit. And it has exploded in just a few years in that point of time. So the extension now moves out into Gentile territory. And the design as laid out by Jesus, that we would first be witnesses in Jerusalem, Jew to Jew in Judea, Jude a Jew, holistic Jew in Samaria, Judah, Jew, but half breed. So you’re getting some Gentile infusion in this. And then the world would come to pass that it would just explode to a group of Gentiles, which will result in their salvation.
And they’re being brought into the church. Now. We also understood that in order for that to happen, the Jews, especially those that were delivering the gospel, the apostles, had to have a mind shift. They had to go through a transition process themselves because the culture was so ingrained in them that the Jews hated the Gentiles. They had to get over themselves in order to go speak to the Gentiles. Why is that important? Because Scripture says you can’t be saved unless you hear the Word. And who was the ones that were given the word out at that point in time? Juice.
So they had to get over themselves. So Peter goes through this transition period and he’s able to then reconcile himself to the understanding of what the Church is. And therefore he was able to fully comprehend the importance of bringing the Gentiles into the church. Now the message to the Jew was Christ crucified, risen, coming again, and the act of faith receives it. The message to the Samaritan. Now we’re. What we’re talking about is the dispensation transition. So let’s go back. The, the, the first, the message to the Jews was Christ crucified, risen, coming again, and the act of faith receives it.
Their act of faith was baptism, water baptism. The message to the Samaritan was exactly the same. The message to the Gentiles were exactly the same. And the message to you and I is exactly the same. The process of receiving the Holy Spirit or receiving redemption is in that dispensation process. So our dispensation is of the church age, which means our faith is in Jesus Christ process, death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and in that faith process, when we believe by faith that that is true, then we receive automatic the baptism of the Holy Spirit without any required action on our part.
That is sealed in our heart. Nothing can come in, nothing can go out. That’s the seed by which you need to grow your physical brain in the process of sanctification. So we come to chapter 10 and we’re going to begin in verse 34 and in our study with the sermon of Peter. Let me just look backwards a little bit more in the chapter. God knows what a monumental event this is going to be. He knows that this is the clo. This is the last event, the last extension of the Church. And when he does this, he now can bring in the apostle for the Church.
Paul. Paul does not come on the scene as the apostle of the church until all of the extensions by Peter are put in place. So Christ knows that this is a monumental event in the time of history and in the time of his plan that the Gospel be extended to the Gentiles. And so God has done all of the preparation. Now we talked about this, we did in light of looking at your calling. We said that you’re called from a sovereign call from God. You can’t do it yourself. No man can call you nothing of that.
We wiped out all of the conditions of current day religion with regards to salvation and so forth. And we have now set this in play so that you now can understand the history of the Church. Carneus is a pagan by all definition. Now he has been raised apart from the law of God. He’s not a Jew. He’s not a Jew. He’s a Gentile. So he didn’t. We wasn’t raised by the law of Moses. He has been raised that that is, is what was written in law the Jews had to follow. He has been raised apart from Judaism.
He does not know the transcripts that have been granted to men from God because they were placed in the care of the nation of Israel. And the nation of Israel hated the Gentiles, so they didn’t share anything. But he lived up to the light that he had in his conscience and in the world around him. Important at the center of your biological being you have a metabolic light proven by scientists, established the truth by medical, the medical industry. So that light at your center core is given to you at birth. And that light is what is used by God to pulsate inside of you, to understand your calling.
And as you grow in knowledge, wisdom and understanding of Christ, Christ and you become more and more sanctified that light grows and grows and grows and grows. Scripture says that if you live up to the light that you have, God gives you more light. But see, he lived up to the light that he had in his conscience and act. Incidentally, in Romans 1 it says this. The wrath of God’s wrath is revealed against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who hold the truth in unrighteousness. He goes on to say that which may be known of God is in them and around them.
And if they don’t understand it, if they can’t see God from their conscious and the world about them there without excuse. Okay, let’s stop here. Let’s apply it to the physical. We have learned that when Christ sent back his spirit, that his spirit became indwelling inside of us. But we also know from the beginning of creation the breath that we breathe is the breath of God. Not some identified term as oxygen, which takes it away from the knowledge of understanding that what we breathe is the breath of God continuously from the time that it was given to mankind.
So if we’re breathing the breath of God, which we are that that air that we breathe is the air which is surrounds us. And that is the breath of God which is his source of life energy. So from the beginning of Adam to today, we are surrounded by God’s energy source. And then we have upon Christ’s ascension to heaven he sends back this same energy source as instead of breath air, it is actually an entity that resides in inside of us. So when now we go back and we look at this scripture again in Romans 1, what we’re seeing is revealing again that what is it says be known of God is in them spirit of God and around them breath of God.
And if they don’t understand it, okay, need to understand what we’re talking about because we’ve identified, we’ve identified our biological means of living into this world. And we’re identifying how God and Christ gave us that information in various forms of scripture to understand that we are living in the center of God’s energy source. And so God gives to every man across the earth knowledge that he exists. And if a man will apprehend that knowledge, live up to the knowledge, then God will move in with what? More light. More light is what? More energy. Okay, now I want you to go back and I want you to think about something God said.
He’s not going to put you in anything that you do not have the capacity to deal with. Now do you see why he says that? Because you’re at the center of him, and it’s his energy that is both inside of you and outside of you. And this, the source of energy inside of you is that metabolic light at birth. But you’re still breathing. God, but the connection hasn’t been complete. It’s that connection that gives you a regenerative body, a new creature, because now you’re connected to the source. People always say, what about the heathen? Okay, the Gentile.
And we’ve talked about this on a number of occasion. And people also ask, what about the people in pagan countries who never have the Bible, who never hear the these things? Well, God says, you have what my law written in your heart. I wrote my law in your heart, and I’m your energy, source of life. You know me because he goes on like corneas. And he says, if a man in any kind of situation lives up to the light he has, God grants him more light. So Cornelius was such a man. He had attached himself somehow to Judaism.
We don’t get a clear picture of that in Scripture, but somehow he attached himself to the Judaism, had begun to understand this thing called salvation, because he saw Judaism, the God that he knew in his heart to be the true God. And God began to work in him. Now, in the first 20 verses of Acts 10, we find we found the sovereign call, right? God prepared the heart of Cornelius. He prepared Peter. At the same time, in verses 21 to 33 that follow, we saw the submissive will. In other words, Cornelius understood he was being called and responded immediately.
You’re following the path of your calling. You’re following the path of knowledge of your salvation, and you’re following the path of knowledge of. In each individual call in your life that exists, have existed, or will exist in the future, based upon your original sovereign call of salvation. So, and we saw how Cornelius was ready and so eager to know salvation, God did his part. Cornelius was available, and God and Cornelius got together. Now, all Cornelius needed to hear was the simple proclamation. Matter of fact, we learned last week that as soon as Peter opened his mouth, he was told to shut up because the Holy Spirit had already saved everybody in front of his house.
So you. You get prepared, but you might not have to do anything other than show up, be present, but it can’t be on a couch. You have to go. He just needed a brief exclamation explanation. His heart was ready. God had sovereignly done his work. He was prepared, soil, and all he needed was the seed to be planted. And here comes Peter. And Peter’s in God’s chosen vessel to dispense the facts of the Gospel to Cornelius that he might be saved and added to the church. We come then to verse 33 of chapter 10. Peter is already in Cornelius home Corneas is sitting there with his household, because that’s what it says.
Now, in the middle of verse 33, we find, therefore we all are here present before God to hear all things that are commanded thee of God. He says, all right, Peter, we’re here. Let’s hear what you got to say. Now, you tell us what God knows we need to know. Here was a man who wanted salvation. In fact, before Peter’s sermon ever was completed, Cornelius had believed, received Christ. And Peter got stopped in the middle of his sermon. We talked about that last week. He was so ready that all Peter had to do was just open his mouth.
And so we come now to verse 34. We come to the sermon of Peter. It’s a very simple way. It’s just as clear and concise as it could be, as it should be. And it’s something that’s not to be embellished upon. Let’s just hear what Peter said. Now, like all good sermons, all that Peter preached, it had three parts. We learned about this in a previous class. It has an introduction, it’s got a main theme, and it’s got an imitation or a conclusion. Now let’s begin to look at Peter’s introduction, verse 34. Then Peter opened his mouth.
And the term there, as we saw, means that he was about to say something very important, a very weighty saying. And he said of a truce or truly, I perceive, and this really means, I am beginning to understand, that God is no respect of persons. Peter was acknowledging the fact that he had. He had to change. And that’s what he was acknowledging to Cornelius, that God has no respect to person. It was not going to hold out Peter because he was a Jew and not provide salvation to Carneus because he was a Gentile. Now, as a Jew, Peter had been reared all his life to feel that God had a special love for Israel.
Well, that’s, of course, that’s all throughout the Old Testament, and that God liked Israel better than he liked anybody else. And this died hard in the breast of a Jew of his day. And to extend himself to Gentiles was an extremely difficult task. But God had prepared him also with a vision. And in the same vision he had seen earlier in the. We seen earlier in the tenth chapter, God had begun to break down this kind of. Of attitude. And this Kind of prejudice. All right, stop right there. We’ve said that God will not change you from your basic premise of who you are, your personality, the way you conduct yourself, whether or not you’re introvert or an extrovert, what you like, what you don’t like, he’s not going to really change any of that.
But what he’s going to do is mold you. This is what God was dealing with Peter. He was molding him, okay? As the potter and Peter was the clay. God began to mold Peter into the position of understanding his attitude and prejudice. And so Peter says, I am beginning to understand that God is not partial to people. God doesn’t play any favoritisms, not culturally, not religiously, not racially. But God is no respecter of persons. Everybody is equal in God’s eyes according to what Scripture says. So, in fact, Paul uses the very same verse in Romans 2:11.
God is no respecter of persons. And that is not anything really new. That’s throughout the Old Testament. I want you to think about this. That’s throughout the Old Testament. God regards not men. The Old Testament says that is God doesn’t make concessions to smart men as over against unintelligent ones or rich ones, over against poor ones, or a certain race against another race. But what did God do in the Old Testament? He separated himself from the Gentiles and allowed them to go their way. And. And he fought with them as they related with the Nephilim, to protect his bloodline.
So on one hand he’s saying, oh, Satan, I’m battling with you, and I’m battling with you under your controlled environment to protect that which I need to do to get to. To the finish line with Jesus Christ. And at the same time, he says, you know what? I don’t have any partialities to either Israel or the Gentile. The condition of his uncle, unconditional love for all mankind, but a condition of his love for salvation in order to protect that, to achieve salvation. So what’s Peter actually saying here? Cornelius, I know you’re a Gentile, but let me tell you this.
Salvation is available to you. That’s his point. Salvation is available. Now, that’s the first point in Peter’s sermon. What you’re seeking is available to you. I don’t care who you are, and I don’t care what your strata is. I don’t care what your attitude is at this point, or what your culture is, or what your background is, or what is your race, how much money you have. I don’t really care about any of that. Salvation is available to you, to you as a spiritual being. It’s available to you. None of the physical stuff matters. Paul said, for I’m not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God.
Unto everyone that believes the Jew, it came first, but also to all of the Gentiles. And so the gospel is for all men. In second Peter three, nine, Peter said this. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise. That means God keeps his promise. As some men count slackness, people are slack. People don’t have a work bone in their body these days. People don’t keep their promises, but God does. But he is long suffering, not willing that they should perish, but that they should what? Come to repentance. So the argument of second Peter 3 is while, while the scoffers come along and say, where is the coming of the Lord? Why are you.
You keep saying the Lord’s coming and the world’s a mess. Why doesn’t he get here? Well, if you recall, that’s what the apostles thought was going to happen. He. He ascended to heaven and now he’s going to come right back and wipe out the Roman Empire and take over the throne. Well, that’s not how it work. Peter says, no, he doesn’t come because he’s impotent. He doesn’t come because he’s merciful. And he’s waiting to give men an opportunity to respond. It’s mercy, not impotence. Because God wants men to come to salvation. And the term there is what he’s not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
So across the barriers, across the board, the chessboard, salvation is available to anybody. It’s not for super religious people, it’s not for strange kinds of fanatics, is for all men everywhere who respond. Now look at verse 35. And he carries the same thought further in his introduction, but in every nation. And if you could only imagine what a concession this was for Peter to make. In every nation, he that fears God and works righteousness is accepted with him. Now that is not saying you’re saved by works, because we already know that that’s not a condition of salvation.
What it means when he, when it says is accepted with him, it is accepted, means that God looks favorably on him. You deal with the light that you have. When you’re in the light and moving through the light to Christ, he gives you more light. For example, when God looks around the world, he sees a pagan somewhere, maybe in a corner where there is no information about the scripture at all. But his looks into the heart of that pagan and that guy is living up to the information he has written in his conscience. Romans 2 says that every man is born with enough conscience about God to be able to see God’s eternal God headed power.
In other words, you can know God just from what he, he’s written in your heart. Romans 1 says you will, you can know God from what he’s done in the world. Anybody who can see the world and not see God isn’t looking very well. And so the testimony of Scripture is that man have the knowledge of God built into them. And anywhere. If a man lives up and fears God as he is revealed to his and does his best to do what is right as he understands God, God will look favorably on the that man and give him more light.
That doesn’t mean the man is saved. Okay. What it means is, is you’re moving towards the light. Now, you know what, when I was, when I was reading over this, after I prepared it and I said, okay, I’m gonna, I’m gonna speak these types of words, I go back to an understanding of deathbed experiences where we’re basically those that are moving into the realm of death see, coming at them. And I’m just, I’m just sitting here thinking about that and saying, I wonder how that biologically happens because you’re not dead yet. Are you seeing a light coming through a portal to you? Well, or are you seeing your soul, soul made visible to you? Are you getting prepared physically? And in that preparedness, the, the light inside of you begins to show itself to you.
Because if you think about this from a biological point of view, we know that a person that is not dead weighs more than the same person after death because something leaves them. And do you know that that weight differential is just around a po. So it made me begin to think about the process of death and really what, what is going on biologically. And I don’t have any answers yet, but I’m just bringing it up for purposes of conversations this morning. I’m wondering, because maybe this is the body, the physical body getting ready to position the release of your spirit.
And it’s that light that is made visible in the process of doing that. We’re going to get to that, that’ll come out. God will reveal that to us at some point. So that means that God looks favorable on him and then God will give him the, the information he needs to be saved. Now that also was part of the reason why I felt that maybe what the body was doing was revealing itself to. To him, to you at death. Instead of you seeing a light coming down, you’re seeing your own light being made visible to you.
Makes more sense to me. Cornelius was a good man. He feared God. He worked righteousness the best he could from what he knew, but he was not say that is the premise of when you say that and look at people and judge the people by their works, and you say, oh, they do such a good worst, they must be saved. No, just because you’re a. A well rounded sort of righteous person doing good deeds doesn’t mean that you’re safe. Chapter 11 indicates that to us, as we shall see in our future study. Cornelius is not yet saved, though he has lived up to the light he has.
The principle is simple. Neither is there salvation in. In any other, for there is none other name under the heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. So Peter said, but the name of Jesus Christ is that person. A man could live up to all the light he has that God gave him when he did give it to him at birth. But he wouldn’t be saved until he learned Christ and received Christ. Now, this is where the new age and a lot of other new traditional religions come in to be. Because people are understanding that you have a.
You have a part of God inside of you called his law and his light. And as it is revealed to you, you should be able to save yourself. And that is not true. There’s no salvation in any other way. You say, well, what about the guy who does the best he can? Will God teach him about Christ? Absolutely. That’s what he was doing with Carneus. But he still is not saved. Teaching you about Christ doesn’t get you saved. John 7:17. Jesus said, if any man wills to do his will, if a man really wants to please God, the God that he understands in his conscience and in the world around him, again, here it is, the breath of life.
And that light, that light he shall know of the doctrine, the doctrine, whether I speak of myself or not. In other words, Jesus said that God will give him more light. As you. You understand who this Christ is, and you begin to apply that to your life, what light you are using to get to that point in righteousness. God gives you more light, gives you more knowledge. God will reveal the truth that. And that’s Cornelius. Cornelius had lived a out to the light he had. And here comes Peter with the rest of the light. He said, okay, Cornelius, you got the doctrine.
You now know that there’s there is a true God. You now know that there is something here that is more important than what’s over here. But you haven’t heard the gospel yet. And that’s what Peter comes to give him the second part of this process. And God is impartial. Cornelius was the Gentile. And God withdrew himself from no seeking heart. Jesus said him that cometh unto me, I’ll under no circumstances turn aside. Doesn’t matter who you are, what you have done, or what your strata is in a current economic lifestyle. When men sin, they fall away from God in total all men.
And when he fell away, a gulf intervened. And that gulf is as the bottom left as hell and as black as moonless midnight. And that gulf, throughout its yawning depths, is populated by demons howling against man. Oh, I want you to picture this. Let’s go back over this. When men sin, they fall away from. Okay, a gulf, a separation, a gulf intervened. And that gulfs is as the bottomless pit as hell and as black as a moonless midnight. Okay? The blackness that he’s talking about here is the black that is used in Exodus when God made the plague of darkness.
You can’t see an inch in front of you. And that gulf throughout its yawning depths, in other words, bottomless pit is populated by demons howling against men. That’s who lives in hell. And the genius of man and the goodness of man and the contra contravents, a man could not span that gulf. In other words, when you are in that position, you can’t get across the gulf. And so man remained cut off from God. And in the midst of hell’s high carnival over man’s lost condition, Jesus Christ left his home in glory, came to this world, and at the cost of his own life, Jesus flung the bridge across the gulf.
And the name of that bridge is called salvation. And for centuries now, sin wrecked. Humanity has been stumbling across the bridge into the arms of a loving God. And at no time has God ever distinguished race, culture, mentality or any other identified social label. And so Jesus Christ is the only way to God. I don’t care how good good you may think you are, you’re still on the other side of that gulf unless you cross the bridge. Who’s Jesus Christ? And so here’s Cornelius. He’s ready. And Peter says salvation is available. Cornelius, you lived up to all the information you had.
And here I am, come to give you the rest of the story. That’s always how God works. Now I’ll never forget stumbling through my own Issues. And in certain countries where I had the opportunity to live and in certain areas of this world, world, do you realize they still live in mud floor housing? And Misty was telling me a story yesterday as we were. As we were driving about a story that she read from a man who was reporting on test results in all of the beach areas in the United States that had so much fecal matter in them that it was unhealthy to swim in the ocean.
Well, do you realize that those countries that live on mud floor have no running water and sewage systems? And raw sewage goes into their water system, whatever that might be. We have unbelievable places on this earth. Mud huts exhibited by people and animals in the same hut, little thatched roofs way up about 2,000ft in various areas there. They exist not only in the valley, but they exist at the top peaks in the cold. It’s unimaginable what you can see in this world. We think we have it so bad, but every one of them has a right to know Jesus.
Would you take it upon yourself to go into one of those areas knowing that you’re going to be mud deep in your ankles just to get to them, to tell them about the gospel? So the second thing that Peter says is so interesting, it’s not only available. Cornelius. Then he moves to his theme. He. His introduction is salvation is available. His theme is salvation is in Christ. It’s great to know it’s available. The next thing you want to know is, what is it? How do I get it? Where is it? And he says, it’s in Christ.
And the only one who can provide you with resurrection life is Jesus Christ. Why? He’s the only one that ever raised from the dead. Hardy says this. I will only want to know two things. Has anybody ever cheated death? And two, did they wake make a way for me to do it as well. He said, if I can find that man, that’s what I want to know. He looked around and he checked them out. Buddha’s tomb occupied. Muhammad’s tomb occupied. Jesus’s tomb empty. He said somebody cheated death. Then he said, did he make a way for me to do it? Then he read the Bible, because I live what ye shall live.
Also he said, that’s what I want to know. There’s no salvation in any other form because there’s no resurrection in any other Jesus Christ. Okay, guys, another piece about religion. Buddhism, gone. Hinduism, gone. Roman Catholic Church, gone. Mormonism, gone. Jesus Christ. Latter Day Saints gone. And all religion that has been created from the doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church. There’s only one gospel, there is only one religion, and that’s Jesus Christ. Christ, if you call that a religion, none of the stuff in this world is true. And so Peter begins to preach about Christ. And he begins in verse 36, the word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ.
He is lord of all that thing I say, you know, which was published throughout all of Judea and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached. Now what is he saying? Here? Look. Peter says I am to announce to you salvation is available now. He says it’s by Christ Jesus. There is no other way. He said, this is the word which God has sent. You know, God’s been giving messages for a long time. Unfortunately, people only aren’t always listening. You can’t crawl out of your little box and discover God. You can’t reach God by your own design.
You’re natural. You are not supernatural. You’re natural. He’s supernatural. And by the very definition of terms, the natural cannot escape to understand. Understand the supernatural. Oh, that’s important. What’s that saying you can’t buy your own devices, understand and ex and deal with salvation in the supernatural, and at the same time force a calling. You’re stuck. You’re stuck because you think you hear what I’m saying. You’re stuck because of your thoughts. So since we can’t escape into the supernatural, the supernatural reduced itself to us. And God speaks to us in our world. Now he’s not talking down to us, but he’s talking at the level by which we are.
And what did God have to say? Well, God in sundry times and diverse manners in time past spake unto the fathers by the prophets. He spoke in the Old Testament. And in these last days he was spoken unto us by his Son. God said something in the scripture, and he said something in the person of Christ. What? What did he say? What did God say? Well, you find that in verse 36, the word which God sent unto the children of Israel. Okay, the word. The word is Jesus Christ. He was present at the beginning and he’s called the Word which God the Father sent unto the children humans of Israel.
Incidentally, God used Israel as a vehicle, not as an end. God didn’t unload his grace on Israel. He simply used Israel as a channel. They were ineffective, ineffectual, however. And God cut a new channel, which is the Church. We’ve talked many times. The only way we got here is because the Jews rejected him. But God had only chosen Israel to be a Tool a witness for him. But what he wanted to say was this. There is peace by Jesus Christ. And the point is, this man is at war with God. Oh, really? Yeah. Because you born into this world with a demonic spirit controlled by the prince of power, air, with your whole focus is chaos.
You have a gulf between you and God. You have no idea who God is, and yet you think you can save you. You’re born into this world in total conflict with God. But God sent a word. God revealed his mind. That’s what scripture says. As a believer in Jesus Christ, you’re to think like God. Well, how can you think like God if you don’t become sanctified? God revealed his will, and his will was that men know peace with him. Well, that’s the only way. Didn’t he say, I am the peacemaker. In me you receive peace. Well, you’re born in chaos, controlled by Satan.
So. And you cannot get out of that chaotic position of your life until you’re saved, at which time you receive peace. We’re learning in our study of the return of the gods that possession can happen at various levels, individually, of course, culturally, civilization, the world. So, and we said that of this world’s 6,000 years, as we can, as we know, know it to be, only 270, 18 of those years had been at peace. And yet you think a piece of paper that Trump might sign with leaders in regards to shutting down wars and achieving peace is done by him? Foolish.
You know, we look around our world and we read the papers, we read about a peace in Vietnam, and then the next thing we know, we’re fighting a war in Cambodia and we begin to say to ourselves, where does it all end? Oh, you guys have said that. When are we going to end all this stuff? When can we get on with this? Oh, well, who makes peace? Why can’t he just get it done? Well, he’s not in charge. And finally, if we know anything about the Bible, we say it ends in the coming of Christ and not before.
Because the Bible says says there is no peace to the wicked. So what do we identify peace as? Do we identify peace as no more wars? Is that how we identify peace? Or is that a conditional state of man’s understanding that they should stop killing everybody? Because peace doesn’t come unless Jesus Christ is at the center of it. There will never be peace between nations, ever, because nations are only groups of people and there’s no peace between people. And sadly to say, there’s no peace within the individual heart. Witness the psychological bonanza that’s going on today.
And the reason there’s no peace in the individual heart is because men don’t have peace with God, which, which means that they’re out of flow. Energy, energy. What is peace? Peace is your body in direct slowness of God’s energy. They’re in a world going against the grain. They’re running around a treadmill backwards. No wonder they can’t be comfortable about anything. Think about self assessment, guys. No wonder they can’t be at peace. They’re going against the grain. You want to do it yourself. From the time man is born into this world, he is born in sin, chaos.
He’s in total rebellion to the moral law of God, to the light which flows in the universe, the energy source all around you, the breath that gives you life. He’s smashing continuously against the moral law of God. And consequently he’s not at peace with God. And that reflects in his own life. And he’s not not at peace with himself. Your outward flow of your actions, what you feel and the fruits of your labor is a direct mirror image of your spiritual life. He’s not at peace with God and that reflects in his own life. And he’s not at even peace with himself.
And if he’s not at peace with himself, he’s not going to be at peace with his family, which is the church. And if he can’t be at peace with his family, nations aren’t going to be at peace with nations. And so all, all you have in this microcosm is an extension of the microcosm. All you have in, in the big world. The lack of peace is a reflection of the little things in your life as individuals that you cannot resolve peaceful. Why is it important for you to commune with the Holy Spirit inside of you before you make a decision? You ever thought about that, really? Because you want to maintain peace.
Not only peace within yourself, but peace between yourselves. So there’s no peace. Men are trapped in a gulf where they chasm in between they can’t bridge. And a chasm filled with the devil and his demons howling and hissing. And they don’t have any peace in their hearts. And they’re living against the grain and of the ethics and morality which God has built the universe upon. And consequently they know no rest. You physically will be exhausted and God burst into the scene and he says, I have a message from you and my message is peace. Would you like to be at peace with God? Have the peace of God in yourself and be at peace with men.
Well, that’s Christ’s message. Remember, life is a life of peace. You can’t have a Christian filled with the spirit life and not be at peace. When you come to Jesus Christ, the old war life dies, the old, old rebellious life dies, and you rise in a new life at peace with God. Why you’re now connected, just living in the life of the universe, living the life of God, living in the flow energy of the universe, living according to God’s standards, obedience, and in the life of God absolute is absolutely revolutionary. It’s a total change. That’s God’s message to the world.
Peace. Why does a man want to live in rebellion against God when he can have peace with God? Why does a man want to live in rebellion with himself when he can have peace within himself? Why does a man want to live in rebellion with his family and his friends when he can have peace? It’s all available. In fact, that’s what we’re here discussing in Second Corinthians, chapter 5. It says, and all things are of God. Think about that. And all things are of God. You didn’t create anything. Who hath reconciled us unto himself? Reconciled, key word.
What’s reconciled means that he paid the price for you to come back to him. In other words, he’s made peace with us. We were cut off Old Testament, the gulf was there, but Jesus threw the bridge down and across it we came and we made peace with God. How did that happen? Christ was resurrected. He says he has reconciled the world to himself by Jesus Christ. To wit, God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself. You say, how did he do it? Not imputing their trespasses unto them. You see what God did? God took care of our sins in Christ, therefore we have peace with Him.
The thing that creates the friction is sin. God has a flow of holiness energy all around us. Holiness is all around you. It’s the breath of life, life’s peace. It’s all around you. But we smash it up with sin. We destroy the flow and consequently there’s no peace. There’s only turbulence. And we come to Christ. The holiness of Christ becomes ours. And we get in the flow. We get connected to the energy by your regenerative self. There’s no more turbulence. At least there shouldn’t be if you’ve actually been regenerated. We’re at peace with God, even though we still sin.
Because why? It’s covered by the blood of Christ, the flow of the universe, energy source which we breathe in constantly. You stop breathing, you die. So we Breathe in constantly. We’re in flow with that universe. We have life, but we don’t have peace until we’re saved. Once we have peace, we’re now connected, DNA, remember, Connected to this energy flow, the source that makes us one with this energy Christ. And we, we know that we’re, we are sinful and. But in the process of being obedient, Christ has paid for a constant flow of energy by his blood.
It’s forgiven, it’s cleansed, and it’s as if it isn’t there. And the Lord says, I will remember it no more. So you’re breathing in this breath of, of life, the energy source that gives you life. That flow of energy never stops one way coming in. It never stops. But in the currency flow, once it gets into our system, the valve is either open or closed. It’s open if we’re obedient, sanctified in Christ. It’s closed if we’re living a sinful life. And so the message is peace. And then Paul went on to say, that’s our message. We beg you, be at peace with God.
It’s available. He says in verse 36, preaching peace by Jesus Christ. There’s no other way. People I would love to stick to be sitting here talking to you and be able to say you can believe anything you want and go to heaven. That’s not happening. You can believe anybody in the world and go to heaven. No, that does not how it works. I wouldn’t care then if you’re Muslim or if you’re a Hinduism or, or you’re a Buddhist monk. I wouldn’t care anyway because if you could do that, then it wouldn’t matter who you worship. But that would be a lie and I will not say that it is not.
So it’s not the truth. There is no salvation apart from even Jesus Christ. But don’t you worry, in any of those pagan countries, if a man is really living up to what the knowledge of the true God within him, the light God will give him more light that he needs to come to the full knowledge of Christ. There’s no other way. So God here is the real preacher. The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, he’s the real witness. Peter says, I’m just repeating what he said. And then I love the statement at the end of verse 36 if you, if you catch it, he is lord of all good empath.
He’s Lord of everything. You know what that means? That means about five things. And I’m going to probably get to a Couple of those thoughts before we close and I’ll pick the rest of them up next time. He is Lord of all. What does that mean? That means that Peter’s saying to these Gentiles, hey guys, he’s my Lord, he’s your Lord, we’re one. Not only that, it says, he is Lord. You know who Jesus was. He was God in the human body. He is Lord. He’s not a man. He’s Lord. Not only that, he’s Lord of all.
Which means that there is no other Lord. If anybody has a Lord at all, it is him. There’s no other Lord. God said, I’ll have no other Gods before me. That’s the same statement. He is Word of all. Jesus is Lord. And if anybody, anywhere on the globe, anytime, as a child of God, it is because he knows Christ. That’s the only way. He is Lord of what? Oh, there’s no other way. There’s no other way a man can enter peace with God other than through Christ. It doesn’t say he’s Lord of those who heard about him.
If anybody knows the truth, they know it because they what, knew him. Now, in verse 37, the thing I say that’s is the information about Christ. You know, it was published throughout Judea, began in Galilee after the baptism which John preached. He says, this isn’t anything new to you, Cornelius. You’ve heard the word. Why? Because they were in Caesarea, which is a little known town down the coast where the Roman government had its headquarters. And so it was just a few miles, probably 40, 50 miles from Jerusalem. It was in Judea. So he says, carneus, you know, you’ve heard all about Jesus.
The Word has been scattered all over the place, throughout all Judea and Galilee. The information is available and you know about it. Now I’m going to say the same thing to you today. You know all about Jesus Christ. You wouldn’t be here and sitting through this without knowing Jesus Christ, who he is at least, or who he is to salvation. You’ve heard of Christ. You perhaps have spent some years of your life in the past in a class or two, Sunday school or whatever you call it, cataclysm or whatever, that maybe you even gone to church from time to time.
And you know about this person called Christ. I mean, the world in all of its crass commercialism, at least propagates Jesus Christ every Christmas and every Easter. And they’re sort of locked into that commercially. And it’s to our advantage, I suppose, in the long run. God always uses the devil’s activity for his advantage uses all things for the glory of him. And so you know about Christ, you may even think of Jesus Christ from time to time. You might even understand that, yeah, he died on the cross and he, he rose again. You know, all of that.
Now Peter says, let me just pinpoint the information that, that specific, that’s really all I am here to do. You know, about Christ. I’m just going to do what Peter did. Let me show you some specifics. He says. Now, it all began after John the Baptist was the last of the Old Testament prophets. And incidentally the greatest of them, by the way. He was announcing the coming of Christ. Christ. He was baptizing Jews. Jews would come, believing in the coming of the Messiah. He was preaching Messiah’s coming and he was calling out people from Israel who would purify themselves and get ready for the Messiah.
And their baptism was a symbol of their purification. Getting ready for the Messiah. Now then one day, as John was getting the people ready for the coming of the Messiah, the Messiah actually came. Jesus wandered down to the Jordan river and he met up with this John the Baptist person. And John turned to him and said, behold the Lamb of the Lord which taketh away the sins of the world. And John faded out. Later John said, he must increase and I must decrease. John faded away and Jesus Christ came to the forefront. And the spotlight of the world was turned then on him.
And to begin his ministry, he was baptized by John in the Jordan river. And verse 38 tells us what happened. And God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Now guys, the Holy Spirit and power always goes together. It says that God anointed him. Now you remember that this was the time that immediately happened with the start of his ministry. He was baptized. The Spirit of God descended upon him. God was saying, this is my Messiah. God set him apart as the Redeemer, the King, the anointed one. And God said, thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
And he anointed him with a power as the Holy Spirit of God came upon him. And he was set for the work which he had been called to do to die. That work was identified to us in Luke chapter 4. Jesus of Nazareth. Nazareth was a kind of a crummy little town in Galilee. And it was also, even today, the color of skin of a dark skinned society. And everybody thought nothing good could come out of there. And it was part of his humiliation that he came from there. But in chapter four of Luke, in verse 18.
He was teaching in Nazareth, where he had grown up as a boy. And of course he himself said, a prophet is without honor in his own country. They never thought anything good could ever come out of their town, especially that little kid who belonged to Joseph. And he got up one day in the synagogue and this is what he read. And he read Isaiah 60:1. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me. This was a messianic prophecy, and he was reading it. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me. Me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor.
He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, and to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord. The great coming of the Lord. At a boy. He was telling them who he was. Now this was a prophecy of Messiah, Isaiah. And the people listen to him. They thought, oh, he’s reading about our coming Messiah. And he closed the book and he. He gave it to the minister and he sat down and the eyes of all that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
Then he began to say, this is what he said this day. Not tomorrow, not yesterday. This day is. Is the scripture fulfilled in your ears? He said, I am that Messiah and I have come to preach the gospel, to heal the brokenhearted, to set the captives free. And all those other things that he talked about. He was anointed by the Spirit of God as the Messiah. And so we find in Acts chapter 10 that it says this how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He began his ministry in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Now what did he do in his ministry on earth? Very simply, it says this. He went. He went about doing what good could he have ever done anything else? Did he have any capacity to do anything but good? No. Do you want about doing good? You know, that’s a lot. Unlike most would be messiahs who spend their time in philosophical speculation, he spent his time in just plain old doing good. And some of the things that he did that were good are illustrated in scriptures. Look at this. And healing all that were oppressed of the devil.
Now you know something? There is a conflict in the universe between God and Satan. That’s our spiritual war. And Jesus came into the world to enter into that conflict and what? Resolve it. And he did resolve it. He has victory over Satan and you have victory over Satan as long as you are saved, sanctified in him. And then you have dominion Control over evil. What, you’re just supposed to speak a Rama word when evil comes around you and what does scripture say? It flees. The first thing that happened after Jesus anointed. He was anointed at his baptism.
Immediately he was led in the wilderness, wilderness by the Holy Spirit. And he went into conflict with Satan. 1 of 4. Satan tempted him and the conflict began. And for all the ministry of Jesus Christ, for three years he was in conflict with Satan. And right up until the garden he struggled in and sweat great drops of blood, as it were. And he got to the cross and Satan threw all hell against him at the cross. And he was still in conflict with Satan to the very end. Jesus came into this world, the Bible said, to destroy the works of the devil.
He went about doing good and Satan went about doing good evil. So they were in conflict from the time of his birth. Now I’m going to give you one more and then we’ll have to shut it down for time and pick it up next time. It says scripture, who went about doing good and, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil. You say, is all disease related to the devil? We’ve talked about this many times. The answer is yes. Is that a shock? Not everybody that’s sick isn’t demonic possessed. However, every time you get sick, that doesn’t mean a demon is oppressing you, but all illness is related to the devil.
You say, why? Well, this body is the Devil’s because it is all part of the system of this world which sin has created. Your physical self was created to live in this, this world in the elements that it provides. For example, if you have no Satan, you have no sin, right? If you have no sin, you have no death, right? If you have no death, you have no decay, right? If you have no decay, you have no disease. So if you have no Satan, you have no disease. You may say, what are you saying? I’m saying this.
Sometimes sickness is a direct demonic possession. But always sickness is a result of Satan’s curse on the earth. For example, God wanted to test Job, but who actually made Jude sick, you say, what about Paul? Paul had an infirmity of the flesh which the Lord had given him. Yes, you know know what Paul called it? The messenger of Satan sent me, sent to buffet me. An illness directly or indirectly is related to Satan into the principle of sin in the world. So when Jesus came into the world, he immediately started fighting against Satan’s system. We’ve got two systems here, guys.
That’s all. All the Bible’s talking about. And one great way to fight it was to destroy the power of disease and death. And you know, some of the time that Jesus was here on earth, he actually called people back from the dead after Satan had already captured them. So he entered into conflict with Satan and he did amazing miracles. And it was a parent to everybody what the end of verse 38 says. God was with him. It was obvious. It was obvious that God was active in him. We’ll stop here. I’ll have a little piece that will tie on to part five next time.
So any observations or points you guys want to cover? Ethan? Just one. Jim. I got one question. So in verse 36, they’re constantly attacking Israel today, which represents what that verse is talking about then, correct? Yeah. Basically what he’s doing is, is the, is the, the Israel has to change. Back then it was the nation of Israel. Today it’s the state of corruption. Okay, thank you. But it applies the same way because what they were being saved was from at that point in time, even though they were the nation of Israel. I just wanted to make that distinction.
Even though they were nations of Israel back then, Roman Empire had corrupted their system. So you have one view as the nation, you have another view which is the same thing, but it’s the state corruption existed at both sides. Sides. Linda? Jim, I’m, I’m wondering if you can clarify for me. You stated that God’s light came to us at conception, that you could see the light at conception. So how is that different at the light we see at birth? Okay, so let’s make sure that we’re communicating. You’re created in heaven in your mother’s womb, right? Right.
What starts that. It starts from the heart. What is, what’s the heart created from light, and then it takes on a rhythmic rhythmatic beating process to what? Create the flow of life. All right, so while you’re in your mother’s womb, you’re being constructed. And at the heart of that construction is the metabolic light that we’re given at birth. That’s what we have now when we migrate through the birthing canal, all of that knowledge that we have created because we have knowledge, okay? We understand what’s going on because he’s, he is building that system and he’s putting the AI in there and he’s testing it.
Think of the computer, all right, he’s testing it and he’s validating it and he’s, you know, all of the things that, that happens in that nine month process, he’s actually creating something and and in that creation, he tests it. And so we have a knowledge base inside of our mother’s womb. That’s the reason why we say. I’ll get to your. I’m getting your question, but a long way around the mulberry bush. That’s the reason why it’s important for us to start teaching our children before they’re born, because they can hear. Okay. They can even speak. Okay? So we in the womb are building this creature.
And as we go through that birthing canal, everything that we have learned inside of the womb has a veil put over it. And we’re both born into this world of chaos, but that light is still inside. At the core of us is that light. Jim, can I ask a question for clarification on that? If. If what you just said is true, which I believe, then how can the statement that we’re born as a demonic spirit. Because we didn’t. You didn’t get. You didn’t have a spirit. You had a light. You had an energy source. Okay, okay.
You. The scripture tells you you’re born with a demonic spirit. You’re born controlled by the prince of power, air, and your whole focus is the chaotic process of this matrix system. And I understand that because we’re born into the demonic system. I guess I was just struggling with that difference of thinking that, okay, God created me and I was formed in my mother’s womb as a demonic spirit. No, no, no. You only hit demonic spirit when you came out. You were born into. Okay? Not in. You were born into. So that’s the reason why I said, when you go through that birthing canal, all of your knowledge and all of your.
Your understanding of being a spiritual being and all that stuff, there’s a veil, okay? And you’re born into. Into nothing more than what you’re going to learn is total chaos. Okay? But the spirit is still divine. You. You have no spirit of divine nature at that time because the divine nature went to that light. That’s the light. Okay, okay. He says, I wrote my laws in your heart. And you, You. You breathe the air of life. You have enough information around you to understand who Christ is, but you don’t. You’re not saved. And you. You don’t have a spirit of.
Of divinity until you’re saved. Okay, thank you. That makes sense. Okay? You’re. You’re created in the womb, in heaven. You’re all about heaven in the womb. As you come through that birthing canal, the heaven part of that is veiled, and you’re born into a World of demonic control controlled by Lucifer himself. And your whole attitude, nature is about chaos. That’s the reason why Christ told Nicodemus, you need to be what? Born again. Born again means that what you’re doing is taking all of that villness, okay? That was put on you and you are now reversing that.
And that’s called regeneration. You get a new. You become a new creature. All things you were born into this world go away. New things you’re becoming. And now you’re able, through sanctification, to get back to the knowledge base of where you were inside of your mother’s womb. And what keeps you connected is that light. Just like we studied in Cornelius Carneus had a light. It was calling him. He wanted to know more. He wanted to know more. And as he moved towards the information source of getting more and more information, the light grew. Grew, grew and grew.
Thank you, Linda. Did I answer your question? I hope so. So, Jim, that light is always. It’s sealed in us. The light is. Is an energy source that is inside of you. It’s not sealed. If it was sealed, it couldn’t grow. Okay. Okay. Right. What’s sealed inside of you is God’s spirit of his Father, Son and Holy Spirit. And it’s sealed in your heart. Okay. Okay. And what you’re growing, you can’t grow Christ any. Any further than what he is. All right? Okay. He’s gigantic source. You can’t grow him inside your heart. What you’re doing is growing your knowledge of what him.
And as your knowledge grows in your physical brain and as you release more to allow the Holy Spirit to control your life, your light gets bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger. That’s what happens. Okay. All right. Now I understand. Okay. Thank you. Yeah. Dawn. Boy, there’s so many things you said today that were. You always talk about the mind blowing nature of the lessons you bring, and this is certainly one of them. I was really captured by the fact that because this is Satan’s world and he’s trying to do everything he can to distract us and he knows we’re made to work worship, he had to come up with these superficial ways for us to celebrate so Easter and Christmas.
So no wonder why so many people, me included, have always gotten like very sentimental around this. And I total. I totally agree with the joy that’s available when you know it’s Christmas every day and when you know it’s Easter every day. And that’s starting to kind of come out as I’m just walking about the planet. Like, when someone’s kind to me, I’m like, it’s. It’s like it’s Christmas, and they look at me like I’m crazy. But I kind of get. I. I get where they are and I get the gift of what we’re learning. Oh, it’s just mind blowing.
Okay. So the other thing I was thinking about, as the women before me asked and offered and had their opinions and so helpful, is that I’ve always thought that Sarah saved my life. And I thought, oh, you’re so dramatic. But I had a ton of complications at 43 bringing her in. And I’m sure the biggest ones were psychological or mental in nature. You know, just because I hadn’t worked on sanctification, I. I went to church a lot, but didn’t learn any of what I’m learning now. And so I was in a state of constant prayer, talking to God, and he was teaching me peace because I knew if I stressed out with this little baby in me, I was putting her at risk.
So she taught me how to pray, and she taught me the peace of Christ. And then when she was born, it was such a miracle. I had to confront we God, and I God, let’s just say God, when they were trying to take her early and wanted to give me a poison, I said, oh, no, I’m. I’m not taking that. That won’t help my situation. And the nurse threatened to discharge me. And Will looked at me. He was, you know, he was kind of scared. And I just looked right back at him eye to eye. And we said, okay, just get us the head person, because we’ll.
We’ll take this to channel five if we need to. Woman at 18 weeks discharged because she wouldn’t take a medicine she didn’t want. And that’s all God. So. So I guess when Norma Jean brings that up about, you know, children and sometimes the innocence that’s in their eyes and the beauty that’s in their eyes, I swear, when Sarah was born, born, I could see glimpses of heaven. And when she was crying, I heard her despair for having left heaven, you know? So I’m just. I’m really, really grateful for your message today. It means so much. Thank you, guys.
Why is Lucifer called a prince? Power. There. Now think about. Because he’s battling over the energy source. Ephesians 6:12. You wrestle what? Not principalities, all that good stuff. Why? Because there’s a battle for the energy source that surrounds you. That’s the battle. So when Christ won victory and relegated him from the God of this world to the prince of the power of the air. What he was saying was, is now it’s two energy sources battling for control, another piece of, of information. And why the scripture relegated him to that is because now you know that all around you is God’s source, energy, breath of life.
So the only thing that he could do is put him into that situation where basically they, they continue their battle. And whoever wins that battle wins you. Right? Because your energy source is what. Life’s in the blood. What’s in the blood? God’s breath of life. Life’s in the blood. Blood is what transfers your, the information throughout your whole body. It’s what you think. So just think about it. At the source of this is the battle for your energy, your mind. And that’s the reason why it’s so significant to be pure about what you do in this.
Because all of those unpure things that you do that you put into your system, the drugs that you take, all open those doors. Okay? Anything else, guys? Sure. All right, let’s pray. Father, thank you for this morning. Thank you for just who you are. Thank you for loving us. Thank you for sending your son. Thank you for giving us the understanding of why your son actually came into this hellhole of this world and why he had to be victorious in this. Father, we thank you for all of the grace and mercy that you give to us.
Thank you for all the blessings that you bestow on us. May we understand the relevance and process associated with manifesting those in our life on a, on a rapid growth basis can continually work with us in our sanctification process. Let us be mindful that the world events that’s going on around us is all controlled by you. But the definition of our mental outcomes might be completely different from that which is going to be achieved. But Father, we know in all of this you’re going to be revealed. And we thank you for that. Be with us the rest of the day, the rest of the week.
Father, it’s going to be a chaotic week. And just protect us, give us, give us peace and joy and understanding that you’re in control. We ask all these things in your son’s name. All right, guys.
