Summary
➡ The text discusses the spiritual journey from darkness to light, symbolizing a transformation from a life without Christ to one with Him. It emphasizes the importance of self-assessment, understanding one’s past self and the changes that occur upon accepting Christ. The text also highlights the stark contrast between the spiritual darkness of the world and the light of salvation. It concludes by stressing that salvation is a personal, spiritual experience, not a physical one, and that it requires acceptance rather than a specific prayer.
➡ The text emphasizes the contrast between light and darkness, symbolizing good and evil, in religious teachings. It suggests that one cannot exist in both states and must choose a side. Darkness is associated with four things: depravity, deception, death, and destruction, representing the human condition of sin and the spiritual state of non-believers. The text encourages self-assessment and transformation towards the light, which symbolizes righteousness and salvation.
➡ The text discusses the concept of sin and its impact on the world, starting from Adam and Eve’s fall. It emphasizes the role of fathers and their responsibility in leading their households, and how their sins can affect future generations. The text also highlights the importance of Jesus Christ as a guiding figure, and how turning to him can lead to redemption and light in a world filled with darkness. Lastly, it mentions that despite the light brought by Christ, many people still choose darkness due to their evil deeds, causing darkness to accumulate over generations.
➡ The text discusses the history of the world, focusing on the influence of the Roman Empire and its corruption, which the author believes still exists today. The author argues that despite the arrival of Christ, the world remains as dark as before, with the same evilness and corruption. The author also criticizes the modern church for conforming to worldly standards and abandoning Christian values. Lastly, the author warns against the dangers of moral decay, highlighting the importance of maintaining Christian values in the home and society.
➡ The text discusses how philosophers in the 14th to 16th centuries encouraged people to live for pleasure and reject morality and religion. This philosophy, which is still taught today, led to corruption and debauchery in society, including within the Catholic Church. The text also emphasizes the importance of women maintaining their faith and obedience to God, even in the face of ungodly men, as this positions them under God’s protection. It concludes by stating that the Holy Spirit within us is the power to our environment, and we must act in accordance with the scriptures to have this power.
➡ The text emphasizes the importance of personal change and growth, stating that our actions and changes can influence others, but we shouldn’t expect to directly change them. It also discusses the concept of ‘fruit of the Spirit’, suggesting that our personal changes are the ‘fruits’ that can attract others. The text also touches on the topic of seedless fruits, implying that they symbolize a lack of growth and change. Lastly, it highlights the significance of understanding the Bible in a biological, historical, and spiritual context, and the importance of prayer and faith in God.

Last, last time we looked at chapter five, last week we looked at chapter five and we ended with verse, verse seven. Tonight we’re going to go into verse eight through verse 14 of chapter five, and we’re going to study this for what it means to us. And I’ll, I’m going to break this down. I’ll spend a lot of time on the scriptures because I want to take you back in time in history so that you understand how to study the Bible. So In Ephesians, chapter 5, starting in verse 8, it says this. For you were formerly darkness.
We’re formerly dark. Ephesians 2 says you were born what with a demonic spirit focused with the control from the prince of the power of the air. And your total behavior was chaos. That’s darkness. So in chapter 5, verse 8, it takes you back to Ephesians 2 of how you were born. But now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of the light. I got the first tonight. Hang on a second, guys. Okay? For but now you are light in the Lord. Walk his children of light. For the fruit of the light consists of all goodness and righteousness and truth.
We’re going to tie a whole lot of scriptures to this passage, trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness. This goes back to the point. Do not associate with this world. Do not love anything in this world. Do not conform to this world. That’s darkness. But instead even expose them. In other words, what you’re supposed to do as a Christian is exposed darkness. For it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret. If you let me. You know what I thought about all this day? I’m just going to lay it out.
If you allow people around you to do things in secret, I don’t care what it is secret society, the, the freaking Mormon church, the Lutheran church, the, the basin, whatever. If you allow them to do that without stepping up and speaking out, you are wrong. You’re wrong. But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light. Who’s the light? You are. You can’t expose anything if you don’t speak up. For everything that becomes visible is light. For this reason. It says awake sleeper and arise from the dead. Arise from the freaking darkness that you live in and Christ shall shine on you.
Well, it’s not. It’s not. He’s not shining just on you. He’s shining through you. Okay, I’m not even going to go any further until we break this down. For you were formerly darkness. Let’s go back to Genesis. God separated the what? The night from day. Oh, did he need to do that in his creation? No, because there was no darkness. We understand that from revelation. In his heaven and his earth, before sin ever end, there was no darkness. When did darkness enter the picture? Lucifer’s rebellion. So why did God in Genesis have to separate the darkness, the night, from the day being light? Why? Because sin had entered in the picture.
Now you understand Genesis 1. That was the creation of the fallen state of the earth of God’s creation. That’s the reason why the gods, okay, created that because they’re creating their place to live. There is no reason to separate that if there’s no sin. So in Genesis 1, when it talks about creation and we, we’ve been programmed to think, oh, that’s just night, that’s day, and we just forget about it. No, that was the separation of evil versus good. And he says here in Ephesians, why? Because this is all of the scriptures that apply to the programming before the foundation of the world and the application of our life in this world, which is the simulation.
It says here, but now you are like in the Lord. Okay, so those of you who are saved become light. How do you do that? Transformation. There is no way that you get to that unless you’re transformed. Self assessment. If you’re not living a life in the light and you’re conforming to the world in anything, anything. Because why? You can’t have one foot on one side and one foot on the other. If you’re conforming your life to anything in this world, you’re still living in the dark because you can’t live both sides. Those of you that want to live in a financial market that’s not controlled by the light, those that you want to live in your health, that’s not controlled, or you Know any other aspect, Society, your friends, your family, whatever, you’re still in the darkness.
Self assessment. Better look at your salvation, because that’s what we’re. That’s what we’re educating on. You better get this in order or you’re not going to get to the Rapture. For the fruit of the light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth. You will not have any fruit in your life if you’re not sanctified. Those of you that are struggling with sanctification, those of you who are not doing anything in sanctification are lost. Are lost. Do you hear what I’m saying? You have not gone from old to new. You’ve not been transformed, so you’re lost.
You haven’t been saved at all. Goes on trying. Trying. Okay, this word trying is like, oh, let me see if I can do this. Trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. Oh, my gosh. You don’t try to learn anything because trying is of darkness. You either get it or you don’t. There’s no trying about it. None. None whatsoever. You either want it or you don’t. You either do it or you don’t. Just go on. Do not. Okay, this is not an if, then statement. Do you get this? This is the command. Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness.
What does that say? Do not live in this world. Do not conform to this world. Do not associate in this world. Don’t do anything of darkness. Get rid of your friends. Get rid of your family. Get rid of business. Get rid of whatever it is that’s causing you to live that way. Why? Because that’s where you live. But instead. Oh, I love this. But. But’s always a great term. All right, because you’re getting out. But instead, even expose them. Your job is not only to turn yourself around, your job is to expose them. And you’re sitting on your butts on the couch.
For it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret. Are you hearing what I’m putting down? You speak of the things of this world and it’s telling you it’s disgraceful. Why? Because people hear you and what you’re putting out is the energy of darkness. But all things become visible. Oh, matter of fact, all things of you become visible. It comes back to you. You have to put forth the effort of being like Christ, right? You’re supposed to put on Christ. You’re supposed to think like God. If you create this environment where you’re doing nothing but What? Speaking of the freaking darkness.
You’re not even close to thinking about God. All things become visible when they’re exposed by the light. The most, the most incredible thing about our lives is to understand it all starts with us. It all starts with you. You’re going to be. You’re going to become visible to the light as related to whether or not you’re dark or you’re light. Whether or not do you get that? And you want to put yourself on the oh, I’m great, you know, I and love, oh, I’m sad, you know I’m going to doing all this. But you live like hell and you put yourself on display for everybody to see.
Haven’t even accomplished the sanctification yet. And yet you say I’m safe. Boy, I’m telling you why and I hope you get it. I can only wish the majority of you were safe from what I hear coming out of mouse. I can only help. I can only hope because I don’t know. Nobody else knows. All we can see is the visible side of you. And if, if the visible side of you doesn’t show the exchange from old to new, to darkness to light, you’re dark. For everything that becomes visible is light. The God says that there’s not going to be one thing that is not transparent.
That means you think about your life and it’s not going to be just transparent to God because he already knows that it’s transparent to the world. That’s what this means. You’re going to be in front of over a hundred and eight billion people because that’s what whose many lives have been in history so far today with your life darkness or light. For this reason it says awake sleeper. Okay, Awake means you better wake up to Christ. Sleeper means you’re inside of darkness. And it says arise from the dead because that’s how you were born and that’s how you live.
And when you do that and you finally get to the realization of really what your life needs to be being sanctified in Christ. Christ will shine on you. Okay guys, this is such a powerful scripture of application. I’m not going to get get into the discussion yet. I just want to talk about the script. You have no blessings by being asleep, which means that you’re dead asleep. In. In in Hebrew means dead. So when you read your Bible, when it says that people were asleep, they were dead. Just the turn. You cannot move into your position of holiness, righteousness and truth without being awakened.
What’s awakened Sanctified. Those of you self assessment Those of you who don’t care about sanctification are looking to figure out what sanctification is or how it works, are trying to study. And you, in whatever case you’re fighting and losing cults, why don’t you just go on with your life the way you did before? You’ll be less miserable. One foot in, one foot out. And you’re trying to say, why am I miserable today? It’s a very clear reason. Because you have no control over you. You’ve not accepted that control. Now, let’s get on. This text compares light and darkness.
Obviously, we just talked about that for 10 minutes. There are essentially two commands. I want you to hear what I’m saying. These are not prepositions. These are not if then statements. There are two commands. One is positive in verse eight, walk as children of light. The other one is negative. The second one is in the command, verse 11, do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness. So darkness and light are set against each other. And they’ve done that all the way to Genesis 1. Now, the context for this begin in chapter 4 of Ephesians, as we began to look at the practical instruction of the Spirit of God through the apostle Paul for living the Christian life, this is our application.
That’s the reason why it’s so critical that you understand this. That’s why I’m providing so much emphasis to you. Because in this application we’ll decide which side of the coin you’re going to reside on. We’re getting to the Rapture in Ephesians. I mean, in Revelation, you’re supposed to now know it through this study of Ephesians where you are at. So it’s practical instruction of the Spirit of God through the apostle Paul for living the Christian life, for walking through the world in a way that honors what the Lord. We’ve talked about walking worthy. Right? That’s how we begin in chapter four, you’re to walk worthy of what you’re calling.
Well, are you going to be called if you’re not walking worthy already? Let me just put that out there. Can you be called under God’s direction if you’re not walking with Him? Absolutely not. Why? Because you can’t hear him. Those of you who think your calling is this, but you don’t have a relationship with God, you never heard him in the first place. Now we’ve talked about walking in unity. That’s the church. We talked about walking in purity. That’s you. Walking integrity. That’s you. And last week we talked about walking in love. Why? Because that is how Christ walks.
And we’re supposed to what, be like Christ, Put on the armor of Christ, walk as he walked, think like the mind of God. You can’t do those things unless you’re doing how he did it. Now we come to walking in light. And just another way to perceive the life of the believer, all different ways. In Ephesians, Paul comes just like we’re doing. He comes at the believer in all different ways. Why? So that they can get absolutely understanding what this Christian life is supposed to be. You are darkness. You were darkness formerly. Chapter 2 verse in Ephesians, verse 8 says.
But now because of the mercy and the grace of God himself, you are light. That’s a stark contrast. But I’m going to tell you what, you can’t get there unless, number one, you’ve first been saved. You secondly believe and thirdly, be sanctified. Why? Because you’ve not experienced the the exchange of good versus evil in your life. Old versus new. Do you see how this works? If you have not gone to the old, to the new self, then you’re not saved. They are mutually exclusive. You get it? Mutually exclusive. All to news. Mutual exclusive. You either know that you’ve given up your old self to a new self, right? And if you have their mutual exclusive of each other, and that is why the Lord has chosen by his spirit.
This particular analogy. It is the best figure to show the complete separation of the non Christian from the Christian. The complete separation of the child of Satan from the child of God. One is darkness, the other is light. And the contrast is extreme. To show the difference and the distinction and the opposite nature between Christians and non Christians. Self assessment. Guys, we’ve gone through all of this. We’ve been weeks on all of this. Do you know what your old self was when you wanted to be saved? And you know what your new self is today? If those are not mutually exclusive, I’m going to tell you you’re not safe.
Why? Because you can’t be transformed unless that’s happened. That’s scripture. We go through this political side of the church. Oh, pray this prayer and you’re going to be safe. You know what? That’s malarkey. I’m telling you, that’s malarkey. I’m going to say this and you might think, oh my gosh, he’s off his rocker, but I’m really not. You really don’t have to pray about your salvation. Why? Because it’s a longing in your heart that is a Constant prayer that you do not have to physically break down and pray about it because it is a soul condition, not a physical condition.
You get what I’m saying? Your soul’s broken. Your physical side of life might be broken, but it has nothing to do with salvation. You get to a point spiritually where you just can’t move. That’s not a physical thing, that’s a spiritual thing. And you physically do not have to pray one iota to get salvation. All you have to do is what? Except that’s what scripture says. The darkness of the world is so deep it is profound darkness. It is an even increasing darkness. It is a dark blackness. A matter of fact it was. It’s so dark that when God gave one of the plagues to Egypt it was darkness and they couldn’t see one inch in front of their eyes.
That’s darkness, guys. It gives you the examples in scripture and if he did that to the Egyptians, they what is he doing to you in regard to your spiritual condition? If you think your physical phenomenon will evaluate the position of your spiritual phenomenon and you can physically pray to God and say, oh forgive me, forgive me, blah blah blah, and your spiritual sight has no reconciliation to him and you think you’re saved. What mountain did you fall off of? This is such a spiritual black hole that is engulfing the world and into which the world plunges deeper and deeper and deeper.
All the time it goes more dark, more dark, more dark, more dark. That is exactly the condition of every government since Nimrod. We’re learning that in our class on the return of the Gods. Why? Because every friggin government in this world has become deeper in darkness than the one before. But yet we observe that we live that that’s what we want to do, that’s how we want to live. We don’t want to conform to the basics of scripture is how we manage our society. We want somebody else to tell us what we’re supposed to be doing.
Who’s that somebody else? Do you realize God only speaks on one to one with you? If you think God is going to create the environment through somebody else to get to you, for you to live, that you’re crazy. Because that’s not what scripture says. You live your life fat, dumb and happy and what, whatever environment you want to create for you without any, any thought process of the fact that God deals with you. Oneonone nobody comes to you from God. Oh, I’m gay, I’m so good. I’m living this. I got money, I got houses, I got all this stuff and you own nothing, by the way.
And oh, that’s how you live. Oh, yeah, that you’re living in the world. Now, scripture likes to use this comparison because it is so stark and, and it’s so extreme. So you shouldn’t be surprised when we find a lot of places in scripture about this. If we were to back up a moment, for example, and let’s go to chapter six of 2 Corinthians with verse 14, we would see the contrast made here. Do not be bound together with unbelievers. Can that be more clear? For what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness. You can’t have it both in one situation.
It doesn’t work that way. You pick and choose where you want to be. So what fellowship has light with darkness? We would also see this same extreme contrast in Colossians chapter 1, verse 12, where the apostle writes, giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to share in what the inheritance of the saints of light, Christ heritage are learning that in a subset, the whole reason God created this world is his inheritance for His Son. And what’s your inheritance? Oh, I want to do this. I am going to leave this. I. I need to make sure that you own nothing.
Immediately when you go, it goes away. You get what I’m saying? You see, it is also in 1st Thessalonians chapter 5, in verse 4 and 5. But you brethren are not in darkness that the day would overtake you like a thief. For you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness. Let’s go back to Genesis 1 and understand what we’re told in Genesis 1. God separated night from day. What does he do? He separated evil from dark, from. From good. And from that point in time at. At what we understand creation, that was not the creation.
That was the manifestation of a fallen state called the world. We had good and evil, and we conformed in one of those two conditions. And Ephesians 2 says you’re born of what? The devil? Demonic spirit controlled by the prince of the power of the air. And your whole focus is chaos. Do you think in if in Genesis 1 that it was not talking about how you were going to be born and the fact that you needed to get to light? This application that you should be dealing with should be moving you from the old self to the new self.
And if you’re not doing it, you’re not saved, because the Scripture says you would want to do that. You long to do that. And if none of those are Part of your life better look at your salvation. No more scripture. Just to illustrate the familiarity that the text of scripture has, let’s go to first people. Peter 2, 9. This is cool, guys. You are. I’m going to take this slow. You are a chosen. Oh, where did that come from? Ephesians 1. You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood. You realize that we’re the only priest. The church is the only priests that exist in Christianity.
The Jews don’t have that. The Jews will never be a priest. We are a royal priesthood. That means we are from the bloodline of Christ. Why? Because he now resides inside of us. The church is the priesthood. A holy nation, a people for God’s own possession. So that you may proclaim the excellences. Oh, my gosh. That’s the whole blessings in Ephesians 1. Three excellences of him. Why? Because you can’t get them unless you’re of him. You got it? Who has called you out of darkness into marvelous light. You are born in darkness, you live in darkness.
You stay in darkness. Unless you what? You transform yourself from the act of salvation and sanctification from old to new. Application, self assessment. This is the contrast that’s so familiar in the New Testament. That’s all what the New Testament does. It gives you the comparison. It’s like the. The court argument. Paul gives the doctrine in all of his epistles in the first half, and it gives you the application. But you know what it is? It is the courtroom drama for you to decide which side of the aisle you’re going to be. That’s what he does. He says, here’s the darkness, here’s the light.
You choose. You choose. If you choose the doctrine, this is your application. If you choose the darkness, this is your application. If you choose the light, this is your application. It’s the courtroom arguments. Courtroom to what? Heaven? It’s the courtroom argument for you to understand where you’re supposed to be. Now, darkness represents four things. And I believe if you understand these four things, you’ll sort of understand the range of the expression of this term darkness, because this goes from Genesis 1 to Revelation. Darkness is evil from the beginning to the end. It represents depravity. It describes the human condition of sin.
Not only does it represent depravity, it. But it represents deception. It speaks of the darkness of what? Your mind. Okay, now we’re getting to the detail. It’s your mind, not God’s mind in your heart, getting it. It’s your mind. It’s your physical brain overriding God’s spiritual mind. That’s where in your heart. Not only does it represent depravity, but it represents deception. It speaks of the darkness of your mind darkened in their understanding. In other words, you have no ability to understand anything wrong because you don’t have a relationship with Christ. Those of you who are still worried about what’s going on in this world, how is all you know what, you have no relationship with Christ.
To understand what is really going on in the world world, you want to worry about cryptocurrency and this or that or whatever. Why don’t you just ask God what you should be doing Says back in chapter four, verse 18 it says or blinded in the soul. We’ve just been talking about that. Guys, you physically want to take control of this, you’re blinding your soul there. Where are you going? Where are you going guys, where are you going? You’re going to hell. I don’t have to tell you if you think upon the things of this earth, you’re not following the commandment things of things that think of those things above, not all things on earth.
Therefore you’re sinning all the time and you’re throwing it in the face of God. And he’s, you know what he’s going to say enough to not as it says in second Corinthians, chapter four. So darkness is associated with what? Depravity. And it’s associated also with deception. Thirdly, it is clearly associated with death. I said all the way back when we talked about health sin, not unforgiven sin. That’s unforgiven leads to what? Inequity. Inequity leads to death. Death of what? Whatever the sin is. Death. Do you think you’re going to get it back after you die in that? No, it’s gone.
It’s. It might be physical death some way. It might be a financial death. You’ll never be able to get ahead. It might be a relationship death. You’ll never have great relations. It’s going to be death for whatever sin that you’ve not asked for forgiveness. The profound darkness of death defines the spiritual condition of what non believing people. Okay, so let’s go back guys, self assessment. You cannot live in both sides. If you live in both sides and you think you’re okay, you’re dead. That’s what scripture says. People outside the kingdom of God, you’re dead. And finally, darkness is used to describe the destruction of hell, which is a.
We haven’t studied this in all conditions because we haven’t got there in the Revelation. But it is a place of complete blackness, not darkness. Blackness. Remember the Egypt’s Egypt plague where they couldn’t see one inch in front of their eyes. That’s hell. That’s hell, guys. You are on your own. That’s what you wanted. You’re on your own. It’s a place of outer darkness. It’s where it’s which people are bound in chains of darkness and blackness forever. So darkness is depravity, deception, death and destruction. In hell, you’re living in heaven. You’re living heaven on earth. Only if you’re a Christian.
If you’re living heaven on earth as a Christian, you have no situation that you’re living on both sides of the fence. Because who’s ruling your life now? That doesn’t say you’re not going to have difficulty, that’s not saying that you’re going to have some anxiety. That’s not going to say you’re not going to sin. But I’m telling you that is not the way of life. That’s a condition of an exception that’s going to happen that you get to ask for forgiveness of and move on. But if in your life self assessment, all you’re seeing is all of this crap, then I’d say straight up with you.
Why? Because you’ve not been transformed. If you were transformed, you would not want it. That’s a condition of salvation. It’s anomalous reality in the Bible. But this is what darkness represents. There are also times when darkness represents divine judgment, such as the darkness when Jesus was dying, which was during the time that the Lord God was judging him. Matter of fact, he removed himself from his physical son, punishing him for what? Your sins, not his, yours. So the concept of darkness relates to all that is unrighteous, from our depravity to eternal destruction. If you’re not on the road from salvation to transformation to sanctification, guys, step back because you’re going down the wrong road.
Now for whatever time we got left, I want to look at darkness in a very unique way. I thought maybe to do this would help you to understand the darkness that is perpetrated on the world by the sins of the fathers. Because as we know, Adam sinned and the whole human race fell. I want you to get this, guys. You guys who are head of your household, who think you’re head of your household, who are not conformed to the transformation and the sanctification process of Jesus Christ, are leading your household to destruction. Foreign though Eve, sin first.
Now we already Know why Adam acted in the place of all of humanity? Because he was the one that acquiesced to give up. That he could have said no. And I would, I, I would, I would hate to not hate. I would love to understand what would have happened if he said no, but because God would have been putting on his back feet because God had planned all this, right? Planned it for the, for the foundation of the world. So Adam brought the fall of the entire world down. And it was that fall that created this host body system that allowed us to have the ability to go home.
Because it was Christ who perfected the prototype of this host body system to give us the vehicle by which we were sealed by the Holy Spirit to go home. Okay, you get it now. That’s how it all ties. But as the structure of the church, even before the foundation of the time when God married his creation in his mind, before he ever created one matter, one physical matter, he had to marry his creation because that was the creation that was going to give him the in success of what his total creation. Get it? Just like God did that.
He told man, you have to be responsible for your church, at your home. You have that responsibility. So in looking at this compared to what we’re studying in our substat, the world is fallen. We’re now create. We’re now have a fallen state of the world. The world is dark. Matter of fact, in Genesis 1:3 it says, oh my gosh, it’s such a fallen state. It is dark, it is cold, it’s way, it’s a wasteland. And I want to tell you it’s been that dark ever since that fall of that of Adam. And the present darkness is to be understood by understanding the role that fathers play in the increasing darkness ness of this world.
You single ladies need to understand that your male figure of control is Jesus Christ himself. So when you take ownership of your environment for you, you’ve separated yourself from the one person that’s there to protect all of the world. And you get a direct relationship with it. The Old Testament talks about the sins of the fathers. It doesn’t talk about the sins of the mothers. Those of you who want to study scripture, females in The Old Testament 100% took their lead from the male. I don’t think any of you understand that there’s no feminism in the Old Testament.
It talks about the sins of the fathers being visited on the third and fourth generation. We just talked about that on Tuesday night. Do you know reason why the mothers have a problem in third and Fourth generations, it’s because they’re husbands. I want you to think about it. Their husbands. If you’re married in this world and the husbands do not conform as being the leaders of their home, as Christ was the leader of the church, you, you mars impact the spiritual outcomes for three and four generations. Now, if you’re not married and you don’t utilize the fact that Christ says I’m your husband, you do the same thing because you’re on your own.
In other words, what corrupts sequential generations is the sins of the Father. And if you don’t apply yourself to Christ as your husband, then you have assumed the role of fathership ship. Fathers have a grave responsibility for whatever a society is and whatever a culture is. The world has always been dark. It’s been dark ever since Genesis 1. It was dark before our Lord came. What? Because that. You can learn that in Ephesians 1. We know that because Isaiah the prophet in chapter nine of his prophecy, verse two, says in a prophecy of the coming of Christ, he says, the people that walked in darkness have seen a great light.
That is a foretelling of Ephesians 2. And he’s speaking into the future of the darkness of the world before the Christ came. When did Christ come? I want you to think about it. When did Christ come? He didn’t come in Matthew and Mark in a physical world. He came before the foundation of the world. He was crucified before the foundation of the world. The outcome of this world was determined before the foundation of the world. You were written in the last book of life before you were ever born one. And you want to talk about issues today? You’re living in a simulation.
Your whole life was lived out before every one speck of matter was created. So why don’t you just conform to Jesus Christ and be done with it? Why are you in this place of argument? Your life has already been predetermined. Why don’t you seek out that and not what you want to do now? Isaiah’s prophecy was the arrival of the son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, who by his own confession is what? The light of the world. Let’s go back to Genesis 1. I separate the darkness from the light. If Jesus Christ is only the light of the world, what where is he at in Genesis 1? So the people of the world were in darkness before the light came.
God shed his light of glory on the world in many ways, but never as definitively and as powerful as he did when the glory of God was shining in the face of his son, John 8:12 says this. I am the light of the world. This is Christ talking. For whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. Do you realize this was determined before the foundation of the world? This was determined before you were born. And you are struggling in your application now. If you’re struggling, okay, think about this. If you’re struggling in your mindset now, how can you understand your predestination calling before you were born, may it be because you’re not really focused on the things above.
May it be that you’re focused on that which you wish to live in this world. Scripture says since he came, the world has experienced the impact of the light that shattered the darkness, namely the arrival of Jesus Christ. I want you to think about when that happened and though the 2000 years since his arrival. Oh, that was since his physical arrival. You never know how long this has been. It’s been over 6,000 years since before the creation of the world. Okay, all of this is done. Millions and millions of people have come to the light and have been redeemed and are now part of the light having been transformed from darkness into light.
Oh, on your. On your. On your. On your decision, Right? Wrong. On the fact that you were called predestined and it was written in the Lamb’s book of life before you ever born. Do you hear what I’m saying? You would not be here had Christ not chose you before you were ever born. Born. Christian influence has gone on for 2,000 years. Well, that’s what history has told us. It has shine in particular in the West. And the west, of course, with its mission zeal for the rest of the world, sent missionaries from the west to cover the the globe, to extend the light to the ends of the earth.
Do you realize that you don’t need me, Sharon? Why? If you’re chosen and you’re predestined, all you have to do is listen. What does that. What does scripture say? Somebody has got to teach you the word. You don’t need a missionary to do that. There’s various ways of hearing as we’re going through now. So the world has experienced the light of Christ in a common grace way. Common grace. That’s a unique term. Another term of that is the Gospel. What it means is the transformation of people through the power of the gospel has brought light into the world.
What world? Your world. But there’s a problem. John 3 identifies the problem. Men love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil. Oh, there you go. There you Go right there. Your deeds, what are your deeds? Your opinions, your fleshly desires, your thoughts, your positioning as it relates to control your deeds. They you love the darkness because they love the deeds of evil, which is you. That constitutes the darkness, which is what you. The darkness accumulates and it accumulates and this is the problem with our decision. It accumulates from one generation to the next to the next to the next.
That’s the reason why the Bible says evil men will grow worse and worse. It accumulates from generation to generation. And we just talked about that in governments. As one government overtook another government accumulates, another government took over. It accumulates. That’s the reason why the world today is built up over six empires that have been taken over and a Roman empire that set its course to allow evil men to continue that evilness. So here we are in a world that we look at as our world. Not going back before the foundational world, but we look at our world in regards to some 2000 years.
Matter of fact our date is 2025. It’s not 6046. We, we take our date as 2025. So we’ve looked at this period of time of life in regards to the coming of Christ in the physical environment. So we’re living in 2025. Well almost that we’ve lost 600 years or there. So we should be in about 1700 area. So 2000 years after the light arrived, let’s just leave it at that. Christ arrived and the world is as dark now as it was before he came. Can you look back in history knowing now what history is? Can you look back in history and see one bit of evidence that we’re living in a better world today than what was there when Christ walked through the Roman empire.
Can you. St. Edin’s still in control. We’re still, still living in the Roman construction of government. We’re still doing all of the evilness that the Roman Empire did. Can you bring to the forefront anything in today’s world that we’re living better today than it was? Words. Then if you do, let me know. A nickel and a cup. You know, I might buy a cup of coffee somewhere. We’re a generation that has seen the fall of the Christian West. Church is dead. You hear me out. The church. The church as you know it, the corporate upper church is dead.
Why? Because they have conformed to this world. They have signed an evil pact with the Roman Catholic Church. They are teaching the doctrine of the Roman Empire. They are our school system. Everything is based upon non Christianity. Where does that get where does that exist? I don’t exist in the home. Home man. If you’re not responsible in your home to value Christianity, your society around you will not change. Amen. You’re single. If you’re not doing the same thing with allowing Christ to do that with you, your world is dead. We have seen the fall of this country and the influence of Christianity in the West.
And we are now in an era of human history that parallels the time before Christ ever arrived. This is a neo pagan world. Oh, you hear bana and I’ll think all, all of. All of the congress people, especially mtg and all of those people. Neocons, Neocons, neocons. What is that? What’s kinds? It’s called pagans. The characteristics that we live in are precisely what they were in ancient Rome and Greece before Christ the light ever arrived. Here, another chapter of Acts. Just different technology, no change of history. Now I’m going to try to get you to understand this, that understand the darkness so that you know what our Lord is asking of us in the passage when he says have no.
Have no. You get this. That is a command. Have no participation with unfruitful deeds of darkness. Now I’m not going to be vague about it. I have not been vague all night about this and I’ve not been vague about this throughout our our educational process. But I am going to go through a broad eye view of history. A moment the gospel came and the gospel brought taught the light and the gospel flourished in the world in the West. We learned that because why the the great commandment, the commission of the apostles was to go forth and teach gospel to the world and in doing so remove the guides and put in Christ’s system.
That’s what they did. So the gospel flourished in the world in the west and there was an extension of that gospel from, from around other parts of the world. But the fall, our ability to allow those gods to come back and the encroaching darkness began to be dominant in two ways. The corruption of the Roman Catholic system and particularly the papacy. Now we’ve already gone through that in a history lesson. There’s many, many documents that we wrote about the history of the church and the corruption of royalty. The elite, that is the people who will welded the power, were corrupt.
They were corrupt in the Roman system to begin with and any reading of history will show you that. And they were corrupt in their monarchies all over the West. Why? Because the Roman system just went everywhere and was not overcome. It just disbanded throughout the world. Corruption in high places. Ephesians 6. Corruption in high places was rampant. The corruption did not necessarily overturn the power of the monarchs or the power of the Roman Catholic system and the power of the Pope. So what happened was the monarchs use lethal power. Lethal. Okay. They went in wars, they did, they did inquisitions, they did all of this stuff to control people.
And the papacy did exactly the same thing. So as corrupt as they were, they still maintain what power. But they were at war with the generations of people. And by the time you get to the 16th, 17th and 18th century, you have the outbreak of rebellion against all of that. Called what? Protestantism, which we would include the Reformation. Right. That’s what we think about. And particularly a word back then of the the Reformation at movement was a word called Enlightenment. Oh, New age people. Who do you think this came from? The reformers legitimately rebelled against autocratic monarchs and against the corruption of the Roman system.
And there was always a faithful remnant, there was always a church of Jesus Christ. It was underground, but it blossomed and bloomed and flourished in a fresh new way under the influence of the reformers of the 16th and 17th centuries. Oh, but wait a minute. That movement was paralleled by the influence of things that the scripture says do not listen to call philosophers who were sick. Autocrat, autocracy, autocratic. Who were sick of demogenous, who were sick of dictators, who were sick of immoral judges, who were sick of repressions that came upon people in so far as religion could, particularly religion could suppress their natural desires.
Philosophers took the control. I want you to think about this. This now who’s philosophers? Aristotle, Socrates. Oh, and they were pedophiles. They were all pedophiles. You just went from one system to another. Do you think that the system didn’t know what was going on and all just put in to a different area. Those people were. People wanted a difference, but they actually still controlled it. What’s going in the world today. And so you had a litany of philosophers, social socialist and psychiatrist and go all the way from people like can’t to heagle all the way to fru.
And they basically said this. You need to be free from regression. Oh yeah. Oh, people do that today. The message of those European philosophers were very simple. You can’t tolerate any longer the repression of what Religion, particularly the Christian religion, particularly its moral constraints. All right, let’s go back. Yeah. The Roman Empire. There was the most corrupt Roman Empire. People were rebelling, people were coming into church. Christ came and the Church had to come back. Christ. So what did the church do? Well, they put in Islam, they, they, they, they created Muhammad, they wrote the Quran.
They put in a philosophy system that basically allowed the people to have it out because they were getting the attention from the scholars in the schools to teach the people of the same stuff that was going, going on in the Roman Empire. Where’s the change? Are the people really looking to Christ for that change? No, people were looking to the pagan system to create an alternative in a manner by which was conditioned to the mindset of the time from a different way of communicating it, but the same outcome. And people went after it. Okay, guys, one foot in the world, one foot in Christ.
Where do you think you’re at today? That is exactly what’s going on today. They attacked God. Many of them, if not all, were atheists. They were all pedophiles, by the way. They attacked morality and in particular they targeted men and they targeted fathers, as all revolutions do. Why? Because if they turn the fathers. Because, because what? They know more about scripture than you do. If they turn the fathers, they turn the church. The message was clear. You should feel free. Do whatever you want to do. Oh, where have you heard that? You think it’s new today, guys, this was in the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries.
You should do whatever you want to do. Your repression is evil and it’s bad. Your lowest, most base sexual desire is true to your humanity and you shouldn’t have to be repressed at any point. Do you realize what where the sexual revolution started? Started in Nimrod. And it grew and grew and grew throughout the empires that came through six empires and then the Roman Catholic. The Roman Empire was the worst and it was, it was condoned by the Roman Catholic Church. Remember, they went out and took, they did C section of, of women just to get the babies to sacrifice.
Do you guys, this is not anything new says you should be free. There’s no God, there’s no morality. You need to live out your impulses. Reject anything about God, reject anything about morality. And of course, all of them had done that already, already. That’s who they were. These philosophers that we hang our hat on in today’s education system were most treacherous, lascivious of all men possible. They said, stop repressing your desires. Live for lust. Choose pleasure. Become lassitious. Free your desire from religion. You don’t have to worry about tradition or moral bondage. Throw all of that away.
Just live like you want to live. That’s what they did in the 14th, 15th, and 16th centuries. That’s what we’re teaching our children in school today. And they sewed those seeds very successfully. You see them in the annals of the French Revolution and what Europe became during the period of time the debauchery to which it descended, debauchery which had always been a part of royalty. And all right, they, they married to keep their bloodline pure. Right. So do you think that was godly to begin with? No. And. And sadly even a part of the corruption of the Catholic hierarchy.
We know now that every pope was of the same bloodline. And they were all corrupt and they were all pedophiles and they all bought and what their way into the papacy. For what? Control. What’s a. What is this religion that Catholics want to be atoned to? Jim, that kind of freedom that you’re talking about puts people in bondage. That’s the cold point. Yes, yes. They wanted. They want to confuse your mind. At the same time, they have the motive of how they’re going to control you. They give you what you want to hear and they think, and you think it’s freedom.
Why? Oh my gosh, All I have to do is what I want to do, I don’t need. You know, we are so programmed. We have no ability to think for ourselves. We have no. And you want to think of. Discernment happens now. Oh my gosh. Discernment was taken out of this way back when. They succeeded in planting that philosophy then, and it exists now. And it has been around now for over 500 years and its fruit. Think about this. Yes. Just like generation accumulates, accumulates, accumulates on your thoughts, so does this. It has accumulated over 500 years and is worse today than it was then.
Guys, I got to end this. I want to do this this way. I might pick this up next week. I need to pray about this and see what God wants to do. I want to talk briefly about women and then we’re gonna. We’re gonna run out of time. Women are victims in two ways. Women are victims actively because they become useful to men only for self gratification. And women become abused by men in a self gratifying sexual way. But they are also passively abused because men who live like that shirk of all. All real responsibilities designed by God to care for women.
They’re corrupt. We talked about this on Tuesday in a lot of way, okay? How women should be with sinful husbands and what they need to do and in glorifying God in that process without being abused. Okay? Abuse is no no, no deal. Okay, that’s. That is absolutely scripture. But where no abuse is there, faithfulness to God is required. Corrupt fathers abuse women for their own pleasure. And they become a toxic masculinity, if you could even call it masculinity. By way they abuse women for their pleasure. Women become victims of their desires. They use women. They use them for the expression of what their evil.
I want you to get this. And they use them to take place in a family, in a relationship that shouldn’t belong to the man by ignoring their own fatherly responsibility. What am I saying? Women, godly women, hear me out. You live in an environment when you don’t have a godly man. You hold this together because of your relationship with Jesus Christ. That puts you not only in obedience to Christ himself, but it puts you into obedience in your home. Now why did I want to bring this up? Number one from Tuesday night. But another thing, women.
Be wise, be wise. You know what’s going on. But you also know what scripture tells you. And the scripture says when your husband is not the head of the house, Christ becomes the head of the house. And understanding that relationship, why is that important? Because that’s your sanctification. You need to be sanctified in Christ when you understand that you position yourself 100% in God’s protection and he will prevail for you without abuse. Are you hearing what I’m saying? God declares. This is the uniqueness of scripture. God declares that he protects. Yeah, C.J. lamps we’ll get. I mean, if you look at lamps as women.
Yes, you’re absolutely right. But people don’t understand that lamps are actually talking about women. All right? That’s the other side of scripture. All right? It’s a code book. Lamps are women. So if you understand what God has given you in declarations, then you understand how to control your home. It’s in those decorations that gives you what? The power. The power to control your home. Yeah. You may not like a day to day situation. And, and Bill is giving our testimony that there’s many others that could probably do the same thing. You might not like the daily situation, but I guarantee you this.
You have the power over the home. And that power is an acquiescing power of control. Because Christ is going to work through you if you are obedient, if you’re sanctified. Christ declares to you, you that the Holy Spirit inside of you is the power to your environment. But you got to do it the right way. Can’t stand up and stomp your Feet and say, look, I got the power, you know, listen to what I have to say. No, no, no, no, no. That’s not what scripture says. But what scripture says is, is you have the power to what, perfect the family.
And that means in God’s time, if you want your husband to become a Christian man, it will have to. It’s going to happen because you are not only obedient to God, but you’re obedient to the scriptures of how you act in relationship to your husband. And in doing so, you have the power. And I will give an account one day for the kind of wife I was. Yeah. Guys, we’re gonna stop here. We’re out of time. I’m about halfway through this, so I’m going to pray about this. I might put it out and say, okay, go read it.
Go do your Bible study and we’ll move on. But I’m going to pray about it and see what God wants to do. We might pick up the second half next week and, and move that. I’m gonna. I’m gonna give that to him and see what he. What he directs. But. Any comments, guys? Anything at all? Well, I do. I mean, sorry, just a. A couple of things you mentioned, you know, being on the. On the wrong road and what stuck out to me in the. The scripture. I mean, I think it was verse nine. The way we.
That we can tell if we’re on the right road is if the fruit of this seed, spirit is manifest in us. And fruit is not plural. Fruit is singular. And the fruit that he lists that are actually characteristics of the Spirit that we will manifest as the Spirit, if the Spirit is in us and we’re growing and, and walking in the Spirit. But that’s how we can tell. That’s how I can tell if I’m on the right road. And it. If the, The Holy Spirit, if, If I’m allowing him to lead my life. Is the fruit singular? It is connected.
And we don’t have one of those things. We just don’t have love. But we have all nine, and it’s all connected. One fruit, one spirit. And you. You know, I thought. I thought of a. The seed is salvation, Jim, as you’ve, as you’ve said many times, the seed is planted, the sprout comes up eventually, then there’s that fruit, and that’s. That is a picture of our growing in Christ. As, as that tree grows, the fruit grows. And. And we’re like trees planted by the rivers of water that will bring forth fruit in its season. So so that’s a picture to me of, of growing in Christ.
And as we do, we can tell we’re on the right road if that fr. Fruit is manifest in us. And that’s something that stuck out to me was that verse nine, the fruit of the Spirit. So very, very important. And that’s, that’s a, a method by which we can be the wife or the, or the single person or, or the mother that we need to be, is operating in, in the, that fruit of fruit, all of it, of the Holy Spirit within us. You brought up some very key words that I would, I would like to magnify a bit.
Okay, Just to magnify. A lot of us have been taught to pastoral pulpits or through education that what you do should be seen from what others do. That we’ve been taught that the fruit, fruit of what we do should be seen from actions or changes by others. Don’t you think about that? Your fruit, fruit of the Spirit is that which you do to affect somebody else. Oh, you have no control over them trying to magnify what Billy Reese said. It’s true. The fruit that you should be looking for is the fruit of your changes, your changes.
And through your changes and your actions, others will be changed. But you can’t think that because you’re doing certain things you ought to see changes in somebody else. It’s not how it works. The fruits are changes in you. And when you change, that affects everything around you. Right? Law of attraction. That which you think about, that’s what you operate in. That’s what attracts to you. Then you’re going to attract others to be like what you’re exhibiting as a follower of Christ. You can’t say, oh my gosh, you know, I’m doing this, I’m doing this scripture, I’m doing this prayer.
I’m doing this. I’m d d no. Look in a mirror and see where you were at. Have you changed? Have you changed? And if you’ve not changed, then nobody else around you has been changed. That’s how it works. Don’t go into marriage and say, I’m going to change this guy to do whatever I think he needs to be or how he needs to act or whatever. That ain’t gonna happen. Okay? Neither is the man coming in, say, oh my gosh, you know what? This is the most beautiful woman in the. I would get her to be like, I, I want her to be in my life with my environment.
That ain’t gonna happen. You two individuals are to be godly for you and the fruits that you exhibit are for you, not anybody else. And it’s from the fruits that exhibited by your changing you. What’s that called? Sanctification. The fruits that you exhibit are what you do in changing you. That people see that now you attract from them to how you have changed. That’s how it works. Just wanted to give some edification. To what? Edification not changes. What edification? I wanted to glorify God in what Billy really said. I wanted to magnify exactly what that meant.
I want you to think about Christ. Just a moment. Did Christ change anybody? No. No. What did Christ do? He took his frame, his fruit. He magnified that fruit to others lives. He healed their soul and their soul healed them. When you try to physically go through the process of changing somebody because you want to see a fruit of change, it is not going to happen. Not what changes people is a spirit filled life living in Christ. So they can see that that’s what changes people. Yes, sir. You know when you said that Jim, that brought up how they make seedless fruits today and trick the people.
Great point. Where did seedling fruits come from? Guys, in this physical world, word seedless fruits come from? On the cabal. The cabal. They were never created by God. God’s whole process of the universe was one seed connected to another seed connected to another seed to another, to another. Seedless fruits were there to what? To prevent you from germinating. Yeah. You get what I’m saying? Yeah. And growing our own food. Yes. Germany. Growing your own foods. You cannot live in that environment. That’s exactly another way of destroying humanity. Great point, Sam. Just, just, you know. Yeah, but Jim, you said earlier we live worse now than what they did back then.
And a lot of people can’t see that. Yeah, they didn’t have a seedless fruit back then, but we got it. Seedless fruit now. They could germinate their food. They could plant their food and grow their food. Then we can’t now because we don’t have the correct seeds. It’s modified seeds. Seeds. It’s fruit with no seeds. Can’t do it. And that’s why the fig tree is so important. Because they had the most seeds per square inch of any fruit. Well, the story of the fig tree with net environment is the most important to understand the seed of life.
Because that’s what it was. What it was purpose for fig tree. See? Of life and the DNA. Sometime we’ll get into that. We got to get into Luke to get there. But yeah, I mean Some. Some point we’ll get there. But yeah, I mean, the fig tree is. Is exactly what that is. It is identifying life. And you can plant. As Billy Rich said, I plant my tree by the waters of life. What is the waters? Think. Gosh, you got to think about the waters of life. You can’t live without water. A plant doesn’t grow without water.
Life doesn’t exist without water. So the very premise of life is the fact that you got to have water, and water is the word of God and the living water is Jesus. That’s absolutely right. We plant ourselves right there. Yeah. I’m not really sure we’ve all thought about all of this. I mean, we’re, We’re. We’re. We’re. We’re discussing the Bible in a very different manner by which you have most likely heard it from a church pulpit, because why? It’s biological. The Bible is your history. Historical truth. The Bible is biological. The Bible is spiritual. The bi.
I mean, that is it. And if you don’t understand the makeup, then you’re not really going to understand what it represents, and you’re not going to decipher the code along the way when it uses trees or when it uses vines or when it uses water or when it uses lamps or whatever. You’re not going to understand it if you don’t understand the crust of what the Bible actually says. Hopefully, God willing, we’re doing a good job at that. Anything else, guys? Sure. All right, let’s pray. Father, thank you again for a great evening of discussion of your word truth at its finest.
Thank you for giving us the insight to the very details of the inspiration that you gave the writers of Scripture. Thank you for giving us the understanding of words, how they interact, how they interpret your message. All of that stuff, it is all in the words and the fact that. That the words are all energy. It’s you. It’s the life of you. Father, thank you for your son. Thank you for everything you did in making sure that this creation was 100% going to be successful as you imagine it to be before the sound of mission. Well, Father, I want to offer a special thanks for using me as a vessel.
I’m not worthy at all. I’m understanding that more and more every day. I’m unworthy of doing this, but I thank you sweet choosing me, giving me the opportunity to not only share my life, but share the history that you’ve given me throughout all these years in a manner by which other people can understand your scripture. And Father, as you go be with us through the rest of the week. Things are moving rapidly in the world world and it all facets and nobody really understands. You’re in control of all of that and it’s coming together, it’s being manipulated, it’s being constructed.
Just step back and look at it and see your glory. We would be astonished at how this is all coming together. Furthermore, thank you for the that as well. Be with those who are healing and restoration recovery in the hospital Father. Just be with parents and children and give them guidance and and let them know that they can seek out to others for help that have knowledge base that you granted to those individuals as well. And we ask that you forgive us of our sins. Be with us as we migrate through our sanctification process. May we completely understand that without transformation and sanctification we will long for you in our lives.
We ask all these things in your son’s name.
