Or, okay, now what’s fascinating to me is, internationally, or nationally especially, they always say, see something, say something. Or they say, you know, always be aware of your surroundings and everything else. But they don’t tell you what to do with the information. Isn’t this the ultimate opportunity, from a volunteer point of view, to have exactly what they claim they want, but then they reject it at every turn? What they really want is hired government guns to hear the see something, say something idea. They don’t want citizens, and the local sheriff, and the checks and balances, and a neighborhood watch.

They want government top-down, see something, say something, not community policing. Isn’t that the crux of the difference here, Bob? Absolutely, Sam, absolutely. And let me make two points, if I may. Please. Even though we have individual posse members, like in Fregidet County, I encourage them to join the Constitutional Sheriff’s and Peace Officers Association posse program as well. Make a bond to both, and benefit from that. But the other thing, you know, as far as a posse goes, it’s been a lifesaver for us, as far as manpower, things like that. Now, I have a number of posse members, I should say several anyway, that are retired law enforcement officers.

One out of California. He does our courtroom security, free of charge. He’s experienced. I’m a big Second Amendment guy, so if our posse members carry guns in uniform, they go through the basic NRA training class, NRA training class, and qualification on the range. So they do all of that to be qualified to carry a fire. No, we could not do what we do if we didn’t have the posse. It’s that simple. But I’m concerned that our governor, our governor-to-be, is working very hard to do away with that opportunity. If the great people of the great state of Washington peacefully, politely, but boldly push back and say no, we can shut that initiative or idea down.

And I want to be very clear about this. These posse are not just some redneck, hey, we’re going to have Larry out here with a gun, you know? I don’t know if you’ve ever seen the movie Second Hand Lions. It’s not going to be like that where they’re just running around, shooting them up and getting all crazy. This is literally a program based on documented policies and procedures, based on documented certifications for certain responsibilities. Speak to that, Sheriff Sombre, because I think that’s really people need to understand that. Because whenever somebody then beats up the posse, you can just be like, you know what? You tell me which policy and procedure you’re afraid of.

You tell me which certification gives you heartburn. You tell me what, okay, that’s where we need to start when we argue these things with people, to where we can kind of literally document ourselves right out of the gate, Sheriff. Yeah, I agree. Now, that’s a good point. And when they get really down to it, what they’re doing is repeating rumors and control. They don’t have any clue what they’re talking about in most cases. And it’s just repeat of nonsense. Well, the posse has got to be members of the white supremacists, which is totally a lie.

But they spread that kind of nonsense out there. But we’ll keep the fight up. You know, Sam, any time you have the far left, when I say far left, the progressive left, the Marxist and so forth, when they’re bitching and their hair’s on fire, you know you’re over the target. Amen to that. Jack, do you want to chime in here, though? Because you’ve seen a lot of this where people are scared of the posse. They don’t know what they mean. They think posse means crazy militia. They think posse means this and that. It doesn’t mean any of those things.

It can mean those things if warranted. So, for example, I wish we had a sheriff’s posse when they were in… See, where was it when they created that chaz? A city right in the middle of the city in Seattle. We should have had a posse there where the sheriff could have deputized a bunch of people and said, look, you’re not taking over the police department. You’re not doing those things. Stop right now. You’re out of control. You’re criminals. And we will shut you down and arrest you. That’s not happening here. But they literally let a city be created by thugs in the middle of a city.

It was literally a hostile takeover. They ran the cops out of the police department and everything. If we would have had a true, honorable posse at the ready, the sheriff could come in and say, look, we need extra manpower right now. That would not have happened, Sheriff Sanger. Yes. And one thing on the Seattle situation, you’re absolutely correct. But that’s why people always want to be the ones that elect their sheriffs. Now, in Seattle, they have what they call home rule. That sheriff is appointed. So that sheriff takes a marching orders from the Board of County Commissioners, just like a police chief does from the city council.

So you would lose that ability, Sam, after that a sheriff is appointed. Yeah. What you end up with is a government gang by appointed law enforcement. Now they’ve got this special get out of whatever card and they can do whatever they want to. And it’s very, very difficult to investigate or have accountability. That’s why you always want to elect a sheriff. Jack? I’m going to ask you a question, Sheriff Sanger. Before that, I’m going to respond to Sam’s question earlier. You know, the vision of the renegade posse, the white supremacist group and the Tim McVeigh’s fictions that are made up, et cetera, that’s all painted by the Marxist media.

I mean, that’s something created in the minds of man. And then the average person never having the experience of being around those kind of people. Whereas, for example, my uncle had about, I don’t know, 20, 25 deputies. It just felt like an army. But these guys were all over the place. And, you know, you felt like there was not any possibility for something to take off and create some sort of issue or problem that wasn’t going to be able to be handled by somebody with authority, with a weapon, if necessary, et cetera. And so this is necessary for this control system to take this country down.

You have to make the people feel that anyone with the ability to stand against them is actually some sort of evil and, you know, will attempt to harm them. I wanted to ask you, though, you’ve been doing this long enough now that you could probably produce a document, if not a book, about how you see the effect of the posse in terms of crime reduction, community involvement with the local police, you know, the quickness of reporting, the incidents, how quickly you get to them, et cetera. And this would be something that would be very useful for other counties to inspect and for the general public to get their hands on.

Is there something you thought about? Absolutely. In fact, a tie-in to my posse. I’ve got two more years left on my term before I’m up for reelection. Probably retired at that point, though. She ain’t using this business. But anyway, yeah, I’ve given that some thought. And through town hall meetings, I’ll do town hall meetings, and I tie the posse into that by introducing the half a posse. Anybody out there wants to join? Raise your right hand, come up. Give us an application. We’ll do your background, so forth. So it’s a recruitment thing at the same time.

You’re building that rapport with the John Q. Citizen out there, Jane Doe. You’re building that support with them, but you have to understand that the sheriff works for them, period. Not for the county commissioners, not for the governor, but for the people. Thank you. [tr:trw].
