I wanted to ask your opinion, and Stephanie asked me to get it from you as well, about the fact that Trump is working towards this 14th Amendment situation with natural-born children. And to start off the conversation with the fact that it is well-known and has been shown, basically conclusively, that the 14th Amendment was never properly ratified. It was just one of those deals that got thrown in at the end of the Civil War, and people couldn’t get rid of it. And I’m wondering, what are your thoughts in terms of the naturalized citizen conflict here? The easy answer right off the bat is that the Founding Fathers never intended for a foreigner that was here and pregnant and happened to have her baby here that they’re citizens of the United States.

That was never the intent. And so, first of all, where it talks about it, in the 14th Amendment… By the way, there was never a U.S. citizen in the Constitution. I mean, the Constitution didn’t define a U.S. citizen. Only the 14th Amendment did. We were all state citizens. Very true. But let’s make sure that they’re only reading the first part. All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof are citizens of the United States and the state wherein they reside. So, which you just alluded to the point you were making a little bit.

You didn’t need to be both. But yeah, and it’s come up a lot. And I say, hey, are you a citizen? I said yes, of Arizona. You know, I’ve said that before, numerous times. It doesn’t bother me, though, I’ll tell you that. It doesn’t bother me to be a citizen of the United States. It doesn’t bother me. What they’ve done to bastardize that is what bothers me, okay? I’m proud to be an American and a citizen of this country. I’m not proud of what our country has done and the government has done to our country.

And I’m not in any agreement. So, let’s say a lady, a queen, comes to visit with her husband. She’s pregnant and has the baby early while they’re here visiting the White House. So, her baby is now an American citizen? No. The queen and that baby are not subject to the jurisdiction thereof, okay? They’re not subject to this jurisdiction. They’re just visiting. They’re on a vacation. Or they’re here studying in some school or went to a meeting. This is ridiculous that anyone would ever consider just the first part of that provision. It’s basically saying that they’re not a citizen more than it is that they are.

Is anyone who could possibly be subject to this jurisdiction from Tanzania or from El Salvador? It’s just nuts. And so, that’s the only thing they could really come up with to give them some sort of lawful backing to let all the illegals into our country, which the Democrats still want to do. And so, no. Absurd. Read the law. Apply the law. And, however, I will say this. Trump has no authority to change this. He doesn’t. It would take an act of Congress to pass this. He cannot change the Constitution or set aside part of the Constitution by executive order.

Is he right? Yes. Did he do it? No. So, philosophically, he is absolutely correct. But he could really push that part until Congress never applies, and the courts should already be applying this. They’re not subject to this jurisdiction. [tr:trw].
