Thank God for Dr. Stephen Gundry, RFK Jr. and people who are finally now looking out for us. Dr. Gundry, as you know, is a world-renowned cardiologist. And he said, people are getting weight gain, fatigue, digestive issues, and it’s because of the stuff they’re eating. They’re even getting skin problems. So what he says is that these signs of illness are actually taken as signs of aging, and there’s nothing natural about it. He said, change the diet, change your outcome. And that’s exactly what’s happening here. Now, Dr. Gundry has made a great video. All you got to do is go to Gut Cleanse Protocol.
com slash Dave. The video is free. Gut Cleanse Protocol.com slash Dave. Remember, the links are always hyper texted in the social media box. Now, having said that, if you go there, you have a chance to turn this around. You don’t go there and keep eating this garbage. You’re going to keep suffering the same fate. Again, Gut Cleanse Protocol.com slash Dave. Whoa, man. The stuff going on now, folks, is off the charts. Criminal, inhuman, absolutely nonsense is what’s going on. And so we’re going to, like I said, I’m so angry right now. Sometimes you get caught up in your own stories.
People are losing everything. People’s lives are at risk. Our first responders are at risk, and it’s all intentional. And I wouldn’t say this unless I was absolutely sure. And what we’re going to do is I want to play a news clip for you that is just shocking beyond belief. And you’re going to say, how the hell do they get away with this? News report from Fox 11 on this. Yeah, this is people’s livelihoods. So it’s devastating. But what is most concerning to me is our first responders and our firefighters were trying to battle this. There’s no water in the Palisades.
There’s no water coming out of the fire. This is an absolute mismanagement by the city. Not the firefighters fault, but it’s by the city. And I’m going to be very honest. We’ve got a mayor that’s out of the country. And we’ve got a city that’s burning. And there’s no resources to put out fires. So if you look at your pictures, you don’t see the firefighters there because there’s nothing they can do. And it looks like we’re in a third world country here. And we’ve got a lot of tough questions that we need to ask the mayor and the city council and our representatives and the county representatives.
Why didn’t you work to mitigate this? What was your brush mitigation program? I heard you earlier talking about it’s been dry because there hasn’t been rain. That’s not the biggest problem here. The brush up in these hills that are controlled by the city and the county, I would beg you that if they haven’t been handled, mitigated, pruned, removed for probably 30 or 40 years. This was a disaster waiting to happen. And what’s predictable is preventable and who’s paying the price of all of these people in their homes and their businesses tonight. Now, we’ll rebuild, but the majority of this community is going to have a tough time rebuilding their lives.
And again, you don’t have water, you can’t put out fires. And I’m going to spend a lot of time in the coming days and weeks and months asking some really tough questions. And I hope all of you in the press do the same and start holding our officials accountable to run this city in a way that keeps people safe. You are listening to Rick Caruso, of course, businessman and developer. And this is a live look from near his property in the Palisades Village. Your property at this point has been saved. And I certainly understand that your heart is first and foremost with the small businesses and the homeowners who have lost their homes.
Have you been actively in touch with LAFD? Have you been out there? I don’t suspect you have given that it’s such a dangerous area. But bottom line question is, have you talked to LAFD about the firefight and potential protection to your property? We’ve been in communications with them on an ongoing basis all day long. And our senior team has been in touch with LAFire. I think LAFire is going above and beyond trying to manage this fire. I have nothing but praise to say for the fire department of L.A. and the county. But their hands have been tied.
And they can’t hide a fire without water and the resources that are needed. Everybody knew these winds were coming. The other question has to be, you know, were all the things in place to try to, you know, again, mitigate the damage here? But the real issue to me is twofold. We’ve had decades to go remove the brush in these hills that spread so quickly. And the second is, you’ve got to have water. And my understanding is the reservoir was not refilled in time and in a timely manner to keep the hydrants going. So that’s a failure, whether on DWP’s part or another city agency.
But this is basic stuff. This isn’t high science here. It’s all about leadership and management that we’re seeing a failure of. And all of these residents are paying the ultimate price for that. That was going to be my next question. Why isn’t there water in the fire hydrants? That doesn’t make any sense. You’re right. That’s a good question. And I think you should start asking, why don’t you call the mayor who’s out of the country and ask her and get an answer from her? Well, they say she’s on her way back. And that would be a great question to ask her tomorrow if she’s at this briefing at eight o’clock.
Are you thoroughly disgusted? Well, you haven’t heard the worst of it. What you just heard is bad enough. It’s gross negligence, gross incompetence. And again, I join here. The first responders don’t choose to be serving the public like this. This is not their fault. This is what we call disaster capitalism. And Paul and I had this, Paul Preston and I had this discussion regarding the Palisades fire, you recall. And then we had it again when they had the next fire and the next fire. Every time there is an economic crisis too big to cover up and the finger points back at the chief administrator, usually the governor, Newsom, in this case, it’s the mayor.
They end up having mysteriously a fire breaking out. And this brings federal relief funds. Hence the term that Paul Preston first used regarding the Palisades fire is disaster capitalism. Raising money by allowing fires to happen or worst case scenario causing them to happen. This is also a bigger plot. As we know, the left is trying to leave Donald Trump with a poop sandwich. And when you take a major industrial hub with the shipping, receiving the port, 50% of retail across I-15, as it makes its way east, what huge disruption is coming, and I believe this is intentionally directed as a secondary effect to Trump’s economic plan and to set him back.
And let me just give you another example. We’re in the mess we’re in economically because we’re not using our energy. So what’s Biden doing as a pardon gift? Well, we cannot do any offshore drilling forever. This will not stand. But nonetheless, it’s another roadblock. Everything that these Bolshevik communists have done has been to harm America. Sell out to Chinese interests, sell out to the cartels and harm you and your bottom line. Do not forget. And we need to stay engaged because we can’t, we actually need to prep for the midterm election right now. So the House is not taken back by the Bolshevik communists.
We need to stay engaged. This is Dave Hodges. You’ve been attending to the Common Sense Show. Thank you very much for your attention.
