It’s going to. The term and the name for Charlie’s organization, Turning Point, that term Turning Point is going to be a new buzzword for what’s going to follow. Erica Kirk, in her very moving speech yesterday, touched on this. She said his legacy is not going to die. And if you thought he was going to silence his voice and end his organization, you’re going to be very surprised at what comes. Very emotional plea. And I do believe she’s correct. I truly do. The speech given by Erica was the most moving speech I have ever personally heard.
And I’ve heard a lot of them, politicians to other prominent people. This was number one on my list. I predict she’s going to rise to levels that even supersede Charlie’s reach and reputation, which was phenomenal. Phenomenal. Do you understand that Charlie started his organization at the age of 18? 18. He stood for free speech. There were so social contract notion that people got to be involved in government. And he tried to ignite passions in the young. He didn’t care whether they believed him or not. Proved me wrong. It was a way to get people locked in the dialogue.
And if he could convince them, fine. If he couldn’t, fine. You’re involved. That’s what he wanted to do. He was a very consistent Christian. Although I’m sure not perfect, because all of us fall short of the glory of God. But Charlie’s death, he was a very consistent Christian. I just want to give this reaction. When Erica said, and I’ll try to present this as unemotionally as I can, she said, I was holding my three-year-old and she asked where daddy was. How do you explain this to a three-year-old? And then the one-year-old boy will probably never have memories of his dad.
I’m sure there are photographs and videos, but that tore my heart too. And the most disgusting thing that I have seen, people have individual rhetoric. There was a teacher fired for celebrating how I’m going to be able to do that. I’m going to give you an example. I think that Jasmine Crockett, Ilion Omar, are totally abhorrent to my ethical and moral views of life. They go against everything that I think an elected politician to a high position should stand for. But if something were tragic to them, like what happened to Charlie, I would not be dancing on their grave.
I’d be saying, we need to not solve our problems this way. I don’t care which side the violence comes from. It needs to stop. I’m working on a piece right now. 10 factors, progressive factors that lead to civil war. And as I began to put this together, and it’s strictly an historical document based on past events, it’s not my observations, it’s what is. I was shocked at how far down the road we are. I’m probably going to present this in two segments because it is so involved. But if we don’t tone it down on both sides, oh, we need to get those people.
No, we just need to enforce the law. That’s to get the people I want. That’s as far as I want as a legal process. But if we don’t tone it down on both sides, we’re in trouble. Ilion Omar and Jasmine Crockett. Jasmine Crockett is foul-mouthed. I just do not think that people in high elected positions speaking on the public airwaves where children can hear, and they see a congresswoman dropping F-bombs and using other pejorative terms, I don’t think that’s good for our country. I don’t think it’s good for our kids. I know it’s not good for our kids.
I’m not objecting to typical phrases. That’s a hell of a good thing or a hell of a bad thing. That doesn’t bother me. But it bothers me as the hardcore cussing that we’re hearing coming out of many of the politicians, and honestly, most of them on the left. Jasmine Crockett being the poster child for this. But here’s what really disturbed me beyond her foul language, is what both she and Ilion Omar said. And if I were to put it all together and sum it up as fairly and objectively as I can, they were basically saying in effect without saying it.
Charlie got what he deserved. When we use those terms like, you’re a fascist, you’re a Hitler, you’re a Mussolini, you’re a Stalin, that doesn’t lead people to do anything. People make up their own minds. That’s a summary of what I heard. Now, you might listen to their comments and come up with a different conclusion, and I’ll respect that. But that’s what I walked away with, and I was thinking, OMG, you’ve got to be kidding me. They should be abhorring the violence. I don’t agree with what Charlie stood for. But this should never happen in America for expressing your First Amendment rights.
That’s what a responsible person who’s supposed to be helping to lead a government would say. And not this divisive, insinuating he got what he deserved. Now, although they didn’t say that directly, they disassociated comments that raise the temperature of the room, and motivate psychos to do their violence. And I won’t back away from that point, because we have seen too many examples of that in history. I note too, as in any high-profile assassination, the conspiracy theories are already started. I look at some things and go, okay, that’s interesting. I didn’t know that, but that’s not the point here.
That is not the point of what I’m doing here. I’m not going to dissect this yet. There’s so much it’s not known. And I don’t get the feeling, when I look at Cash Patel, the governor of Utah, that anything nefarious is going on. They are really upset. Really upset. I think the Utah governor is embarrassed because it’s happened in his state, although he is not to blame for this. There is shock. Shock and dismay is what I see for them. So I’m not bringing any conspiracies into my analysis. Now, if something really surfaces down the road, we don’t back away from those things here on The Common Sense Show.
We had a history with the Kennedy assassination, and with the release of some of the CIA documents, we were right on the money with a lot of our assertions. But I’m not going there with this. This is too important. It’s way too important. What I want in this country is not to descend into violence, and we are so there. We are in the middle of it. And we meet the criteria for a lot of the Civil War characteristics that have preceded America, including our own first Civil War. Give you a little teaser of something that’s going to be in the article.
The day before Charlie was murdered, there were 18,000 word searches for the term Civil War, within 48 hours after Charlie’s death that had grown to 219,000. Revolutions are first fought, and Civil Wars are first fought in the mind before they are in the battlefield. And if this isn’t a strong indicator for where this could be heading, we need to pay closer attention. Because people have different views from you, doesn’t mean you’re their enemy. There are some people that have repugnant views that need to be called out, like the two I just mentioned. But that doesn’t mean we take action.
And then there’s the case of the Texas A&M professor. She teaches things that go against my moral fiber and code. But it looks like she was in pretty much compliance with her syllabus, and the First Amendment. And although I just wholeheartedly disagree with her content, she should not have been fired from her position. And if you think she should, then you’re no better than the people on the left that have censored people in this country for the last decade. If we’re going to have a First Amendment, we have to have a First Amendment. No, you can’t yell fire in a crowded auditorium, as the old saying goes.
You can’t threaten people. You can threaten legal or political action, but you can’t threaten to do bodily harm. There are those limitations on free speech. But in terms of ideology, religious beliefs, political beliefs, there are a lot of people in the United States. That should not be touchable by government, yet Texas A&M, responding to the pressure of Greg Abbott, fired the head of the English department, the head of the undergraduate curriculum, and the professor. I could not disagree with his action more. And remember, I find this professor, her views to be very upsetting to me personally.
But that’s what we have to try to learn how to do, is to tolerate what is intolerable to us personally, and not resort to violence. And then I’m going to refer to something else that reflects the degenerative mood in Congress. And I’ll say this, unrelated. If any congressman or senator are taking any money from our enemy China that has threatened us over and over through the last several years, and their economy exists because of us, those people don’t deserve to be in office. If you think it’s okay for the Chinese who have overtly supplied the cartels with fentanyl that have killed 300,000 Americans in the Biden administration, if you think that that nation should occupy farmland next to a US military base inside the United States, you, in my book, are not a patriot.
You’re not an American. That is not an opinion question. This is a national security threat that should be dealt with. That’s not First Amendment stuff. But when you espouse your views on sex and related topics, that is opinion. That is absolutely opinion. And by the way, if a professor stood up and said, I think the Chinese have ever a right to do what they’re doing, that’s First Amendment too. It’s the politicians that need to be held accountable who take money from Chinese interests. They need to be gone. I have a list. We’re going to wait till we’re closer to the midterm, but I have a list.
And I pray and hope that you people will act on my toss them all mentality. The vast majority of Republicans gone in the primary. We’d be better off randomly throwing darts at names on a board and picking those people in Congress than some of the degenerates we have serving there now that care nothing about the future of this country. And they sure as heck don’t care about you. And this is what Charlie tried to inspire. And this is what I really don’t think people fully understand. He wanted people to respect the ideals of this country, respect each other’s differing views, talk it out, maybe even raise your voice a little bit, but leave it there and then find compromise.
That’s what got wiped out on Wednesday. Reason, maturity, patriotism, and faithfulness to Jesus. That’s what was attacked. And that attack on Charlie was an attack on all of us. And don’t give me this low nut crazy kid. This is endemic in our society. And I’ve said this before. When you look at history books and you look at the videotapes of the day when John Kennedy was assassinated, people said, how could this happen in America? And today I say, when will that ever stop? Well, it’s only going to increase. And we’re marching towards the inevitable. And the sooner that all of you realize this and we don’t allow inappropriate censorship, but we also don’t allow rhetoric that will lead to violence.
We’re on a collision course with the future. This is downright scary. Publication for a civil war part one, probably today. I got some loose ends to fill in. And then publication on part two would be on Sunday. We have a lot more though. We got things going on with social security and Medicaid, Medicare. That is scary, scary to our economy. I’m Dave Hodges. Pray for peace. Pray for tolerance. Pray for understanding. Ask that the spirit of the Lord would enter into the hearts of all. I’m Dave Hodges. This is The Common Sense Show. And you know what I forgot to tell you about before I absolutely close? I forgot to tell you about our sponsor and just very quickly here, don’t tune out because this applies to everybody.
And this is so scary that this is not catching on faster than it is. Although I’ve gotten requests from people recently and I talked about one of them on air with Daisy Luther’s going through. And one of my people in my audience wanted me to bring this to Daisy. I’m going to. Daisy’s changed her email and I’m in the process of tracking it down. We haven’t talked for a few months, but we will. This product here saved my life. And it doesn’t cure anything. It boosts your immune system tremendously in ways that you can see on the screen if you have visual.
But it’s about raising vitamin C, vitamin D, the nuclear receptors, regulates them, and it affects telemars, which is linked to longevity. The effect is a supercharged immune system. Now there’s other products, too, that anisoma gets into the gel that helps you with the joint pain, reduces inflammation here. I’m a beneficiary. And this cream that erases a lot of fine lines and wrinkles, but I used it to repair a cut that needed stitches and I didn’t get it. That’s the three pack and you get a good discount for that. But if I had to choose one product above everything else, it would be this, both prescription and non-prescription.
This is non-prescription. This would be your number one choice. I hope that you’ll take advantage of this. We’ll see you back here again next time. All you got to do is go to Iwantmyhealthback.com slash Dave Hodges. That’s Iwantmyhealthback.com slash Dave Hodges. [tr:trw].
