FARMERS PROPERTY RIGHTS FREE SPEECH ARE BEING DESTROYED IN MARIN COUNTY CA

I used to think the 5th Amendment was inviolate. I really did. I mean, I knew there was controversy over imminent domain and the public use of private land and people would be paid a fair price and so forth and so on, but I never dreamed we’d be getting to this level that we are. But I’m not surprised because over 20 years ago, in my what was then a community of 300 people, we were having our property rights stripped away in a systematic effort to get us off our property without any compensation whatsoever. Also, a catamax highway from the Central American Free Trade Agreement could be put through our area and they didn’t want to pay for it and they wanted our water.

I mean, it was an eight-year battle and we won. Well, that’s over 20 years ago and we’re still seeing these 5th Amendment abuses. By the way, property tax, particularly on the elderly, is a 5th Amendment abuse because people are losing their homes as their homes escalate in value, right? In other words, you got to pay more tax. The incomes aren’t going up because people are retired and Social Security is not keeping up with the cost of living so the people lose their homes. There’s no 5th Amendment. Someone wants your land, they’re going to get it.

Sometimes they get your land through really nefarious means. That’s another topic for another time, but this is really, really, really bad. This is going to happen. And I don’t think California is going to be the last state to be created. But nonetheless, I’ll talk to Paul about this. I’m sure he’ll know. We’re going to go through some things here. This lady is explaining it, but I think I’ll bypass that. And I’m looking at an ex-tweet from Jim Ferguson. California Democrats just shut down a dozen family farms and slapped a gag order on the farmers.

Farmers, I’m going to encourage you to speak up or certainly go to third parties and have them speak for you. I am doing that right now. They may not have any cows. They may not do any farming. Not even a garden. They have no voice. They can’t speak or they’ll go to jail. They’re not allowed to tell the community what’s happening. Gag orders, forced agreements, $30 million to erase a way of life.

Half of Marin County dairies are gone. Local beef and milk producers are crushed. Environmental groups are seizing control and the state is letting it happen. But I want to note, one of these, I don’t care if you call them environmental or recreational, it doesn’t matter. What are they going to do with the land and by what legitimate authority are they taking it? There’s a planned erasure of local food systems, independence, and rural heritage. Okay, now we’ll play the short clip. Right now there’s a fight going on in Point Rees. They just shut down a dozen farms just like that.

It’s a fight that was going on for the last eight years, really doubled down on those farmers two years ago and they put a gag order on them. So they couldn’t even ask the community to stand up for them. So they went out like they shut them down, meaning they can’t even have cows or anything? They’ve got to move off the property. They’ve been there for over a hundred years. Those dairies started in 1857 and a lot of the same families have been there the whole time. Our local RCD even came up with money to upgrade the ranches if needed and the environmental group said no thanks.

They wanted to take the land over and so they forced these farmers to sign an agreement that are pushing them all out. So we’re going to lose half of our dairies in Marin County and a bunch of the beef ranches that provide local food. This is tragic and I know I’m hypersensitive to it because I lost a good portion of eight years of my life fighting against this tragedy. And so it’s a real problem, ladies and gentlemen. It’s a real problem. And I got to tell you, if we don’t start standing up for these people, I will come back more with Paul Preston because I don’t have a solution at this point.

No, I’m not an infiltrator into the alt media because I have no solution. I’m not sure what the recourse is right now. And it sounds like it might be a case of too little too late. I have to see how far the action’s gone. We should have been hearing about this sooner. And if I had a gag order put on me, I would call some of my friends. I go, here’s the details, take it and run with it social media. I don’t know why we didn’t hear about this before. I’ve been involved in other farm issues where gag orders were issued, but they did not apply to me because I didn’t own the property.

And I have spoken for people. Some of it I’m under a non-disclosure agreement. Some of it I can talk about freely. But you remember when I talked about carbon capture programs last year and the disruption of the farms was horrendous taking place in eight states. And this is something similar. I’m not even sure by what basis these people are being forced off their land. They’re throwing the word environmental group around. I don’t know what that means. And I don’t understand how it could lead to land confiscation. And it doesn’t sound like there’s been any type of remediation here in terms of paying for the land.

This is absolutely incredible. I suspect at one point, if you’ve already destroyed the dairies and taken away the cows and the farming, if a court were to force someone to pay for the land, the value has diminished so much that they’ll get pennies on the dollar. And I’m pretty sure that that’s what’s happening. In fact, I tell you, I’m really sure that’s what’s happening. And boy, this is just amazing. This happens in America. You know, meanwhile, I want to say this. In contrast, the governor, who obviously is on board with this, I’m talking about Governor Newsome, or we would hear to the contrary.

California is $50 billion in debt. He’s going to soon be under investigation from what we’re hearing from the authorities for accounting for the billion dollars missing in aid to homeless people and indigent people. And he’s letting this go on on his watch. We need to stand together and fight against these abuses. And I would ask that you’d share this far and wide. And like I said, I owe Paul Preston a call. And he is in Northern California. It’s his home base. And I’m going to see what he knows about this. But we can’t let this stuff go on.

I just want you to think for a second. Okay. Someone comes to your house. They take most of it from you and you lose your job. What kind of situation would your family be in? And see the old no Miller eulogy for the German society. First they came for this guy. And I said nothing. Then they came for that guy. And I said nothing. Then they came for me.
