Summary

➡ Marjorie uses three phones to maintain her privacy and control her data. Her red phone is only for close friends and family, and she never uses it for two-factor authentication or logging into accounts. The second phone, which is also de-googled, is used for two-factor authentication and is known to her banks. The third phone, a Galaxy S22, is not de-googled and is used for apps that require Google, like her bank or travel apps. This phone only connects to the internet when necessary, using the second phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Hey, this is Marjorie and I wanted to shoot you this very quick, definitely very rough video and talk to you a little bit about privacy phones. So, you know, I’m all about getting off-grid and creating something outside of the control grid, which is being built like at an astonishingly rapid pace. And I did the switch last year to some de-googled phones. I just wanted to show you my setup and it’s it’s a little bit clunky at this point in time and I’m wanting to learn more, but I’ll show you what I’ve got.

So I have three three phones and this one, the red phone, this has got a number that only my close friends and family have. I don’t ever use this for two-factor authentication. I don’t use this anywhere that the system may do it. So this is not used for any kind of login with a bank or anything like that. This is just for friends and family and communication with people that are in my, I would say, my core group, right? Or small businesses that I know is not going to be selling my data somewhere.

Now this one, which is beeping right now, by the way, I set these alarms when I have this alarm go every hour and this is to remind us that this moment is wonderful. It really is. So this phone, this one has a SIM card and it’s totally active. This one also has a SIM card and it has a phone number that, you know, almost, you know, all the banks know, you know, whatever. This is also a de-Gogled phone, but I don’t have hardly any apps on this. This is really just for two-factor authentication or, you know, this is kind of like the phone number that, you know, everybody knows who’s right.

And honestly, I have this phone off most of the time. I just use it for two-factor authentication. Occasionally I’ll check tests on it. And sometimes I use it as a Wi-Fi hotspot for the third phone. Now this is a Galaxy S22. It has no SIM card in it. I could not find a way to de-Google this phone. So it has an excellent camera. So almost all the videos you’ve seen me shooting, like when I do the walk-in talks, I’m using this phone. And there are apps that I just have to use, right? There’s apps from the Play Store that you just have to use, because like, you know, my bank, if I want to do whatever they call it, you know, remote deposit, you can’t, you have to have the app, right? Or when I’m traveling and you got to have that airline app or you’ve got to have that Uber app or whatever, right? And I’m trying to find ways more and more ways to not use Uber or Airbnb or those things.

But for now, I put those apps on this phone, and then this phone will be used, will use a Wi-Fi hotspot with this one when I need to use it. So this phone only goes on or gets connected to the internet when I’m using an app that I need to use. And there is a, the biggest difference, and so this is a fully Googled phone, but it’s, it doesn’t have a SIM card in it. And I will tell you, there is a huge difference. This poor little phone, when I used to have a SIM card in it, and I’d even turn it off and I put it in a Faraday bag, and the little thing kept trying to go back to mama.

And hey, man, it would heat up inside that Faraday bag. The battery on this thing does not last that long. The biggest thing I noticed with these two DeGoogled phones is the batteries last way, way longer, and they seem to charge up really quickly. So this is, I think, a Pixel 7a. It’s running Graphene OS. I’m playing with that. This one is a Brax phone. Rob Braxman has a whole privacy thing going on. I haven’t done a ton of background on him or not. I’m just playing with the phone to try it out. So, like I said, there’s a little bit clunk, I mean, carrying three phones.

Well, well, well, whatever. But at least, you know, I’m separating some of the functions, right? So all the tracking they would do with this has been cut off. So there’s very little tracking going on with these guys. So I’m trying to just compartmentalize and separate things that all used to be on one device. And I think that helps with my security and privacy. This, my friend, Glenn Mitter, has been really digging into this a lot. And he’s got a webinar that I’m going to be attending. It’s going to be next Wednesday.

Let’s see, when is that May? Is that May 7th or May 8th? I’ll get you the exact details. Starting at 7 p.m. Central, I’m going to be attending it. And he’s going to be talking all about privacy phones. I love his webinars. The first thing he’ll start out with is giving you some updates on what the latest that they’re doing is. And it is astonishing how they’re really locking in that control grid. And like, if you want to make sure that you’re not in the trap, you need to set up your escape route now.

So, and one way they do, of course, growing your own food and all the making your own medicine and then do Google phones and Linux computers. I mean, we do have solutions and we are going to create a parallel economy and a parallel track. And, you know, using this technology, it’s here, it’s available, but using it in a way where we’re not compromised is what’s super important. So Glenn is going to talk about, it’s unbelievable, some of the latest things they’re doing, especially with the biometrics and smart dust and God knows what.

And then he’s going to go into D-Google phones and how to do it. And, you know, probably not the whole step-by-step detail, but a lot of information on there, several different operating systems that are outside iOS and Android and Apple and all that. And he’ll be talking about the different operating systems and how to do it. So I’m going to be attending because I’m very interested in what he’s going to have to say. And I’ll probably end up taking some more coaching from him on this because a little bit clunky. I’m totally good with it.

I feel, you know, I think at this point in time, you have to make a decision. Do you want convenience or do you want freedom? You know, do you want convenience? Do you want privacy? And I very clearly want freedom and privacy. Okay, so that’s the next Wednesday, 7 p.m. CST. There’ll be a link here. I’m posting this on Substack. It’s going to go out onto the other channels. If you don’t see a link in the description, wherever you’re watching this, please go to my Substack channel, Marjorie Wildcraft. That’s Marjorie with a Y.

And you’ll get the link there. And yeah, I hope to see you. I’m going to be there. So hope to see you then. [tr:trw].
