But there was a gentleman there who said, ten dollars? Is that too low, or is that too expensive? And the other woman and I just looked at him and were like, it’s way too cheap. Look at this. First of all, this is heavy, like five pounds of stuff. This thing will carry a ton and a half, 3,333 pounds. Look at this. I know I don’t know what I’m going to do with this thing. Maybe never, but this is an extremely valuable thing that could be used in multi, multi, multi situations. I mean, having a big, long tie down is an amazing thing.
I don’t know how many feet this. 27 feet. I mean, two foot webbing, right? So it occurred to me, and he’s a good guy and very reasonable. I mean, it occurred to me that people really are way disconnected from real reality, and you can’t blame them, right? Everything is so fake, the fake food, the fake news, the fake mass shootings, the fake politicians, the fake everything, right? So how do you know what’s real? And of course, you know, I think growing your own food definitely will get you in touch with reality. So I’m just going to do some stuff on things that I see that are incredible buys.
Like, these things are incredibly valuable, and they’re being sold very, very cheaply. And you have a… I don’t know if my cats are playing too rough with each other. I don’t know if you can hear that or not. Anyway, things that are… they’re really inexpensive, and I want to show you why and hopefully help to let you see why this is so… And I bought this. This is a lamp right here. And I’m going to see if I can… You see it right there? It’s that thing. And I’ve got it pointing up at the ceiling because a lot of times, actually, a reflected light off the ceiling makes a nice space.
So it’s got this gooseneck here. You know, it’s got a pretty good spread. It’s got this thing. It only takes about 10 watt of energy, so it’s not using very much energy at all. I mean, you could have a very small solar panel and a battery and be able to operate this thing. And I can’t remember. I bought a couple of these now, whether it’s 16,000 hours or 20,000 hours of time, that they believe that this… And I believe them. I mean, it’s basically just a strip of LEDs, right? Which are diodes. There’s no reason that that could not live.
I mean, I believe them when they say 15,000 hours or 20,000 hours. So let’s think through that. Let’s say you use this for three hours at night every night. That way you can read and do things beyond sundown. At three hours a night, 365. So we’re talking about 1,000 hours a year. So this thing could last you for 15 or 20 years. Extremely low energy, highly efficient. You know, I would say that being able to see at night is just a wonderful thing, right? It may not seem like a luxury to you, but it absolutely may become a luxury.
This also comes with this switch. I’m not super enamored with this switch, but it has a mode where there’s more blue light. And then there’s more of this yellow light, which I like. I think it’s 2700 Kelvin, which is… I haven’t done the research yet, so I don’t know if LEDs that emit that are still bad for you or not, but I definitely like a warmer light in my space than the blue light at night, right? This thing costs like $30. So $30 to have 15 or 20 years of extremely efficient, low energy, reasonably good quality light.
You really only need one. Honestly, if you get down to it, that’s a heck of an investment, right? That is an extremely useful thing. Made in China, of course, right? We’re not going to have stuff from China much longer. That is coming to an end. It’s coming to a screeching halt on 2026. So anyway, it comes with this clamp. You can mount it anywhere. You know, it’s just a really good device. I think it’s a 12-volt system, so this is a thing that takes AC into 12. And I think… I bet you could probably even wire this up to be able to run DC.
So anyway, that is something that’s an extremely useful item. Very, very low cost. If you’ve already got the necessities like food and water and medicine and defense and, you know, some of the other basics, right? This is definitely a really good thing to have around. And buy a couple of them. Why not? It’s a great investment. It’ll hold its value. All right. This is Marjorie. As always, if you need to learn how to grow food, go to backyardfoodproduction.com. Please do that soon. I’m in the middle of taking down the website, and there’s no telling how long things are going to be broken.
Things are already breaking pretty bad, so I don’t know. Anyway, I’m going to get it up eventually, but anyway, so get prepared. It’s happening this year. There’s no doubt. Please, please get prepared. Okay, talk to you later. [tr:trw].
