Yeah, Roots was amazing, again, because I have extreme ADD and I could never sit still.

And that product was amazing because it really allowed me to focus in and sit for hours at a time. I’m five months, six months of writing nonstop. Dr. Christina Rahm and I am in Rome, Italy today. And I wanted to get this out there to everyone because many of you guys know that I participate in science throughout Europe and the world. One of the places that we do that is with the Vatican, as well as in Rome, Milan, Venice, Florence, and all over Italy. As well as all over most of the countries that we go into.

We’ve spent a lot of time lately in the Middle East and in India and Asian countries and also Eastern Europe and Europe, of course. And now in the Latin American countries. But I wanted to just brief everyone on how today was. It was an early morning for me. I got to spend time with amazing people. Destin Plantholt and Gabriela and Gabrielle set this up and Andrea and a bunch of other people. They spent a lot of time really focusing on bringing scientists and doctors into this. I’m walking on the streets of Italy right now trying to get somewhere with Ted.

He’s in front of me. He had to work all day on other things. So we kind of divided and conquered here in Rome. And my husband is back home working on things with the rest of the root corporate team. His wife and his family, they’re working hard on the farm. And we’re all trying as a group and as friends and family to hold this together because it’s a lot of travel. But it was an amazing experience to meet the Pope today and to get to exchange words and philosophies a little bit as we move towards trying to do more and more throughout the world and have more and more improvement throughout the world.

So sometimes I know I get criticized for the different meanings I go into and who I meet with. And I’m going to say this again for the whole root community and any customers or people that watch me. I’ve had a long history of biotech and pharma also as a CEO of companies. But more than anything, I’m a mother of four. I’m a friend. I’m a wife. I’m a person that loves the world and our companies with DRC Ventures and the root brands. We’re here to bring unity to the world. And I get criticized even sometimes with our top leaders and I don’t blame them.

I understand because there’s all kinds of rumors that go around about why we do things and where we are and how we do it. And I want people to know this. When you have pure intentions in life, whether you’re a scientist, whether you’re a mom or a father, a daughter, a doctor, a teacher, a librarian, whether you work at Starbucks or you work with Rom Roast, we all have the ability to make choices. But when you have pure intentions and try to do the right thing and you always put humanity first. Let me say this.

You put God first and then you put humanity right there with God so that you’re trying to help others and you’re trying to love and heal. That’s when you know you’re doing the right thing. And we all heal in different ways. I really want unity. When I see all the things that are happening in the world, it makes me sad. I spend a lot of time in all these countries and they’re at war or they’re fighting. And I just want to call upon people throughout the world to try to be a positive change, to try to be the people that are standing for what’s right, to try to promote peace.

When you fight people with meanness and hatred and anger and killing, it doesn’t help any of us. And then it just keeps going, it perpetuates, it grows. When someone has cancer in their body, it causes inflammation and it grows throughout the body. When we’re at war, are we in hatred or anger because someone doesn’t believe how we believe. Someone doesn’t believe or someone doesn’t believe in our thought process or our belief and we hate them or don’t like them or speak out against them or even try to make people like me not go places because they don’t agree.

That’s wrong. We’ve got to stop that. We’ve got to start being strong, being the light and really helping people throughout the world. Whether that’s you staying home and being an example for your children or whether that’s you going out in the world and using another gift God gave you to do things in the world, they’re all equally important. Every child that we raise, every child we touch, we can either teach them love and peace and kindness or we can teach them to not like people of other religions. We could teach them to have anger or we can teach this love and this light.

And so as a scientist, I want to tell everyone that’s not my biggest mission. That’s not my greatest thing in life. My greatest thing is working with people and groups and providing this love and light and trying to heal people with other people. It’s not me that does it. It’s all of us together. It takes Ted Baker leaving his family and he doesn’t like to do it because we’re trying to grow and we’re trying to help humanity. It takes my husband and my children staying home and me being gone and it being hard on them when I have to go and speak in the Vatican or in the science codification committee.

But all those things are so important. And I want to tell you guys, I really have enjoyed the day that I’ve spent. I was able to tour around a lot of important people. I say tour, spend time around a lot of important people. I was able to work on some scientific projects. No one has done anything to me. No one has sabotaged or tried to create any animosity or hurt me. Everyone has been kind and good. And because of the protectiveness of our company, because of the need that everyone in our company thinks they have to have and should have to protect me and the science that we do things with.

I always am with other people and surrounding myself with people in the community that we have that protect against anything that can possibly happen. So you had tens of thousands of people today gather to worship in a particular religion and the Catholic Church has done phenomenal things around the world. And yes, there’s been controversy sometimes just like there’s controversy about the United States and our presidents. Just like there’s controversy about some of the preachers and the Baptist Church or the Church of Christ or any religion. So I want people to think about this.

Before you can throw the first stone, you need to really think about other people and other situations you’re in and have you been perfect or the people you’re around perfect because there have been bad situations surrounding almost every government, almost every religion, but we can change that. We can be the light and we can be positivity. And I saw a lot of light today. I saw a lot of positivity and I saw a lot of amazing people. So this weekend, I will be working on a few other things along with the root executive team, including Ted, including my husband that’s not here, including Patrick and Marty and Duquesne and Dylan and everyone else that’s part of our group.

But I did have to leave my family to do that. Ted did have to leave his family to do that. So we would appreciate the support. Of the community that we built and that you built to be this positive change and to understand that we will continue to try to be the voice and the light of hope in the world. If you ask me what’s the most important thing I’ve done in my career, I probably will not say being a scientist. If you ask me what’s the most important thing I’ve done on this earth, it’s easy for me.

I had four children that I love. I have a family that I adore. Those are the most important things. But as a scientist or in a career, the most important things for me is the fact that I have been a humanitarian. I have tried to help people. You know, I was attacked about three years ago legally from different groups that wanted to own what I had developed or wanted to say, just hurt me or to attack me because I’m a female that does what I do. And instead of quitting, I stood up.

It caused me to understand even more the need to be positive even when someone attacked me. So I want you guys to know it’s easy to be hateful and angry when people have hurt you. It’s easy to hate and have anger and animosity when things haven’t gone perfect. But that’s the time you need to forgive. That’s the time you need to stand up and be kind and be good. It doesn’t mean you shouldn’t create boundaries. No one deserves to be abused. No one deserves to be harmed or treated badly. But what it does mean is you can be the change.

You can be the positive force and energy that causes a lot of amazing things to happen in the world. There’s never going to be a lot of people that agree with everything I say. Some people are going to adamantly disagree with what I do and what I say.
