Summary

➡ The speaker is discussing the idea of American citizens being imprisoned in El Salvador, a topic brought up by Trump. They’re unsure about the legality and constitutionality of this, and they compare it to the issue of private prisons in America. They also mention the corruption in the American prison industry, which is run by the government. However, they personally wouldn’t mind being imprisoned in El Salvador if the conditions were acceptable and it was their choice.

So anyway, I know it’s time to go, but if there’s any other questions that people have, let’s try to throw a couple of those in there. I don’t like to ignore people’s questions. What do you think about Trump talking about putting American citizens in El Salvador in prisons? First of all, I don’t know if it’s illegal. I don’t know if it’s unconstitutional either. If it is, then why do we do it with private prisons here in America? Look, the prison industry in America is very corrupt. Why? Because it’s done by our government, and our government’s totally corrupt.

But if I were given the opportunity to be transported to El Salvador to be in prison there, and the standards were okay, I wouldn’t mind going. Especially if it’s my choice. To go to a private prison here in America, I think I’ll take the government prison in El Salvador. First of all, they have a good president there now, Bukele. And I don’t see where, if they did a contract, an intergovernmental agreement between El Salvador and the federal government, could you take some of our prisoners? Somebody will have to correct me, but I don’t think it’s against the rules.

Is it against the law to take a federal prisoner and have him serve some time out of our country? Well, how many have we put in Cuba? They probably call that a territory by now. I don’t know. Maybe we need to study this and come back with the answer next time. And don’t forget folks, Sheriff Mark Lamb will be with us next Wednesday. [tr:trw].
