Summary

âž¡ The speaker had a tough week dealing with personal health issues and other unexpected events. Despite this, he managed to host a show and discuss a movie about banks taking over. He also narrated a bank robbery scene from the movie, where two men stole money from a bank early in the morning. The speaker then discussed the aftermath of the robbery with a ranger and a bank manager.
âž¡ A group of robbers are targeting drug stores and car parks instead of banks, carefully avoiding taking large sums of money. They’re suspected to be raising a specific amount and are believed to be local due to their accents. The robbers are patient and calculated, leading the authorities to believe they have a bigger plan. Meanwhile, the authorities are trying to trace the robbers and protect potential victims, while also dealing with their own personal issues.
âž¡ Justin dreams of playing football while dealing with life’s challenges, including a past involving jail time. He encounters various people and situations, including a tense poker game and a risky plan to pay off a mortgage by robbing banks. Despite the danger and moral dilemmas, he remains focused on his goal, showing resilience and determination.
âž¡ A family inherits a ranch that has oil on it, ensuring they won’t have to worry about money. However, two brothers decide to rob banks, leading to a chase with the police. One brother gets shot during a robbery but tells the other to continue with their plan to launder the stolen money at a casino. The injured brother is cornered by the police, while the other successfully changes the money.
âž¡ The text is a dialogue-heavy narrative about a series of bank robberies, a manhunt, and the motivations behind the crimes. It involves a retired ranger, Marcus, who is trying to understand why the robbers, two brothers, committed the crimes when they didn’t seem to need the money. The story also touches on themes of poverty, family, and the lengths people will go to secure a better future for their children. The narrative ends with a tense confrontation between Marcus and one of the brothers, leaving their fates uncertain.
âž¡ The speaker discusses the Crown Vic car, noting its popularity among police due to its size, speed, and capacity. They mention that law enforcement was dissatisfied with the Ford Explorer replacement, leading to a shift towards the Dodge Charger. The speaker also touches on wildfires in California, suggesting they may be due to poor forest management and possibly intentional acts. They end by mentioning their plans to revamp their studio and their need for rest after recent dental work.

Sa. Sa. Sa. If it’s not one thing, it’s another. Okay. All right, guys. And that was a. See here. Okay. There we go. All right. So I muted myself there. All right, so apologize for. This week. I have been dealing with. I had another window open. I could hear myself echoing back and forth. So I. I think some of you guys knew that I was kind of dealing with it, with. With a toothache. And ultimately it turned out that I needed two root canals. That happened yesterday. So it’s been a lot of fun, and I. But I really haven’t had much energy or willingness to do anything this week.

I’ve just been. I haven’t really started, like, Wednesday morning, so I wanted to do the show on Monday with Ghost and Shelly, but that got postponed because Ghost. Ghost was sick. We were going to do it on Wednesday, and I wasn’t feeling very good, and his wife and daughter were really sick, and he had to take him to the emergency room. So, anyway, long story short, it’s just been a hell of a week, so. But I’m here now, and I’m gonna be playing the. I’m. I’m not gonna do an after party because I just. I just don’t.

I don’t have the energy today to do the after party. But I will just make a couple of little quick notes about this movie. It is very interesting because if you look at the theme about this, it’s all about the banks. It is about the banks taking over. So I’m not gonna. I’m just going to leave it at that. I’m not going to say anything else. I’m just going to leave it at that. So just pay attention to the bank part, because that’s really the crux of the matter here. So if I want you guys to let me know in the comment section once I start to play the movie how the.

How the sound is, and if there’s any hiccups, then I will see what I can do about trying to fix it. But for now, let’s go ahead and get the party started. Sa. Sa. Sa. Quiet. Open the door. Open the door. What in the devil? Please stand up and take some cash drawer, ma’am. I will not. We ain’t asking just no money in the drawers yet. It’s in the sip, and I ain’t got the code. Rivet drawer. Oh, there. Open the drawer. I need the keys. Keys. Step back. Damn it. Y’all are new at this, I’m guessing.

Where’s the money? I told you, it’s in the safe. Well, who has the code? Mr. Clausen. He’ll be here soon and I suggest you fellers don’t be. All you’re guilty of right now is being stupid. Just leave and that’s all it’ll be. Tell me I’m stupid again. What time does Mr. Clausen get here? Ma’am, look at me. What time does Mr. Clausen get in, huh? 8:30. Every morning. We’re walking and sit. Where do you think you’re going? Sit on the floor. You’re stupid. Same about you, darling. Esther, you doing right here? Good morning. We didn’t have to hit him.

We’re. Slow down. I ain’t speeding. See you, little brother. Not a worry in the world. Planning this and doing this, two different things. Maybe we should get that head. Get out. Only early bird gets the word. Slow down. I ain’t speeding. I found these coins in the barn. Lord knows how long they’ve been sitting there. I’ve been living off an inmate’s diet. And had all these coins sitting right underneath a bunch of feed sacks. This one says 1953. 1953? I wonder if any of these is collector’s items. You could be sitting on a fortune here. I hope so.

Good morning, folks. Open the drawer. Open the motherfucking drawers. Ones, fives, tens, twenties. No hundreds. No bottles. You boys robbing the bank? Shut up. Your hands on the counter. On the counter. Yes, sir. That’s it. Come on. That’s crazy. Y’all ain’t even Mexicans. No bundles, just loose cash. Okay. Don’t be ashamed yourselves. Hands on the counter. I can see him. Yes, sir. You got a gun on you, old man? You damn right I got a gun on me. Are you going to get his gun? Yeah. Keep up with the circumstances. Okay, I got it. So y’all going to steal my gun, too? I have my own gun.

We ain’t stealing from you. We steal from the bank. Much obliged. Let’s go. I’m sorry about this, folks. Turn around. Son of the. You little man. Go. Run. Go. Put the gun on the counter. You trying to get us killed? I steal from some old man, we steal from one place, that’s it. You’re turning out to be a poor ass criminal. You see what the early bird gets. Maybe we should hit that wrench and Jason. No, we ain’t. We hit those banks first thing in the morning. When they’re empty. When they’re empty, God damn it. It’s the last time I kept getting shot at.

Got to be smart. We’re ways from being finished I could do this all week. We’re gonna. We’ll let the Comanches, little brother, rain where we please. With the whole of Texas hunting our shadow Lord of the plains. Hands off. Oh, if I had a dollar be Will. Yes, I believe I surely will Go to town and drink my fill early in the morning little darling cheese are everything man, she makes my legs too sing Want to buy a diamond ring early in the morning and mother was a golden girl Slit her throat just to get her pearls Cast myself into a world before a bunch of swine It’s a long way down the Harlan road Busted back in a heavy load Won’t get through to save my soul early in the morning.

You hear about these bank robberies? Why are you always dressed like me? This is our uniform. I ain’t got no uniform. You can wear whatever color shirt you choose. You just keep choosing mine. Ranger regs say white, blue or tan. Dress shirt stands the reason every once in a while, we’re gonna be dressed the same. Well, you know what they say about imitation, Alberto. You wanna hear about these bank robberies or you just sit there and let Alzheimer’s run its course? Where they at? Texas Midlands. Branch in Archer City and the branch in Olney. FBI want an assist? Midlands ain’t got any branches outside Texas.

Plus they’re just hitting the drawers for a few thousand. FBI don’t want it. You may get to have some fun before they send you off to the rocking chair yet. Need you sober? Who the hell gets drunk off a beer? Place looks like shit. You got anything else you want to say? I mean, there’s not a decent steak, and a whole lot of them are sorry sons of bitches. Yeah, well, while you were busy in jail, I was busy looking after mama. So you can go fuck yourself. She in that bit a while? Three months. The end there was pretty rough.

I couldn’t help telling her if she asked, I could have fed them skinny cows. We had nothing to feed them. Well, I could have helped clean up the house a bit. It never took you for the go to guy for house cleaning? No, Just robbing banks. Yeah. She never wanted nothing to do with me anyway. Did she leave a will? Yeah. Am I in it? Well, it don’t matter. She left everything to me. By Friday, it all goes to my boys. Didn’t mean nothing by it. She damn sure meant it. She always hated me for standing up to him.

We all got punished. He never understood that fighting back makes a beating last longer. No, I understood it. So I stopped fighting and shot that some come here as the cause of tears Just to cry and shame Seven stood our eternal blood I’m looking for game how small a part of time was share Till we hear the sound Wings I am lost in the dust of the chase that my life brings hey, what’s going on? Somebody robbed the bank this morning. Do what you see anyone looking a little sideways, give me a call. Sideways don’t want to meet me.

Find itself on the wrong end of a short rope. Oh, well, that would simplify things for everyone but you. Maybe if you can find the tree. God, I love West Texas Ranger. Or much of a robbery. Got off with just under 7,000. Took the drawer money, 20s and under, only loose bills. No ink back? Nope. Smart. That was smart. Can we get a look at the video? Let me introduce you. The bank manager, Mr. Clawson. This here is Ranger Hamilton. Ranger, sir. Can we get a look at the surveillance video? We got cameras, but they’re switching us over to a digital system that feeds into the computer.

These new cameras don’t hook to our VCRs. Call over to Young County Sheriffs and ask them if they thought to hook their cameras to some sort of recording device. Armed? Yes, sir. Pistols, faces covered, Ski mess switchers. B. Baggy pants. Like them thugs in ballast. Tweakers, maybe. Maybe. A little early in the morning for tweakers. Tweakers don’t sleep, they just tweak. They rob drug stores and park cars, not banks. Gonna take a look inside. Yes, sir. Yeah, I’m here, Margaret. They bopped you in this Nazola, huh? Yes, sir. Not very nice. I know their faces was covered, but could you tell their race on black, white? Their skin or their souls? Let’s leave their souls out of this for now.

Why? From around here somewhere is my guess. You know, from. From their voices. Oh. Young county says same deal with the branch and only. Excuse me. They have video. Same deal all the way around. Doesn’t Walmart sell all sorts of electronic equipment? My word. Get your hands off that. Oh, these boys, they aren’t done yet, I’ll tell you that. Okay, well, they’re patient. Just sticking to the drawers, not taking the hundreds. That’s the bank’s money. We can try trace that. They’re. They’re trying to raise a certain amount. That’s my guess. It’s going to take a few banks to get there.

You boys know how rich they’re going to be. They don’t know anything yet. You take them to the funeral. Like I said, they don’t know anything. When’s the last time you saw him? We all went to the road in Stanford right after you got out. That was a year ago. I talked to him on the phone. You talk to him on the phone? You want a little advice? No. No, I don’t. Go see him tomorrow. You got any idea how much I owe Debbie in child support? Got enough in your front pocket to fix that problem right now.

You can’t spare it, you know that? Maybe we should hit another brain ranch. You know, you talk like we ain’t gonna get away with this. I never met nobody got away with anything, ever. You? And why in the hell did you agree to do it? Cause you asked, little brother. I gotta feel like an old goat. Grab the check, meet me out front. Well, if that isn’t a hint, I don’t know what is. Yes, ma’am. Well, you got a ways to go yet. Yeah. You’ll be waiting around all day for me to finish this. I’ll be here whether you finish it or not, so you take your time.

Sure it’s quiet in here? Open a drawer. Fives, tens, twenties. Fan them out like a dick of cards. What do you do? Last job was for a natural gas company. Sounds high dollar. No, there ain’t nothing high dollar about drilling. No one seems to be drilling for gas now anyway. They sure drilling for oil. I mean, ain’t one drill the same as the next? That’s my take on. Guess I gotta get someone else to believe me. We could use a cook. Just about four or seven up. Johnny Ann, start the car. I bet you don’t know this.

Child support. I must be out of my goddamn mind to ask you for help. You want to get us killed? That’s not a Midland branch. That’s not part of the plan. Now we gotta go back to the ranch and bury the car. Have we? Do not. We’re over halfway to Oklahoma. Not driving a stone getaway car through a Indian casino. Just put us a goddamn day behind. Well, I got us a day ahead this morning, so I guess we’re even. You’re welcome. You can’t answer your own phone? I’m driving. You’re just sitting there twiddling your fat fingers.

Ranger handled his phone. It’s reckless is what it is. Tweakers. I’m telling you, I don’t think these boys was reckless. Damn sure ain’t tweakers. They know exactly what they’re doing. I don’t know how you’re gonna survive without somebody outsmart. You. Need a Hobby and quick. How about a horse? Mary Beth was the rider. A horse only remind me of her. You like to fish? Not enough to do it every goddamn day. And when I retire, I’m gonna move Esme and me down to Galveston. Buy a fishing boat. Gonna live on that son of a bitch right at the pier.

Oh, who knows? Maybe one of these bank robbers is gonna want a gunfight. And I can dodge my retirement in a blaze of glory. Well, I seen you shoot. Won’t be much glory in it. Well, I’m lucky I got a half breed by my side to avenge me. If you can stay sober long enough knowing how you engines like the bottom. Hey. What y’all done? You burning this field? Why in the shit would we do that? This kicked up on the highway. Been chasing us ever since. Wish we could do something for you. Oughta just let it turn me to ashes, put me out of my misery.

Cut that fence. 21st century, I’m racing a fire to the river with a herd of cattle. And I wonder why my kids won’t do this for a living. Gonna call it in? Oh, it’s gonna burn out when I teach the browsers I don’t even call around here anyway. Oh, these boys is on their own. Well, I still don’t see the problem, Toby. Well, the problem is, thanks to you, we have to spend tomorrow morning getting another car. So we’ll have to hit two banks on Wednesday. We already done three today. Stop worrying. Whose land is this? Jeremy Chalker.

He lets me stay here in exchange for shooting coyotes. Cold beer in the fridge. You stole my head. I borrowed it. Fuck you do to it? What’s this? My livelihood. We don’t need all this. I can’t keep guns in the trailer days on end. It’s not coming with us in the bank. Just spoke to the teller. She’s a little shook up. Herb took her driver’s license and threatened her family if she talked to us. Mind if I ask you your name, young lady? Natalie Martinez. Oh, Natalie. I want you to know we’re going to have some officers walk watching your house extra careful till we catch these buggers.

You have my word on that. There’s more than one? Only one man robbed the bank? Yeah, what does it look like? He was addressed like a cowpoke, except for the ski mask. I think he ran to a car that was parked out front of the diner. You saw the car? It was green. How old? I don’t know cars, mister. Well, was it a nice car? An okay car. A real piece of Shit. It was a real piece of shit. All right, now we’re getting somewhere. Oh, that looks like a man who could foreclose on a house.

Excuse me. Natalie. Excuse me, Mr. Bagger. Natalie. I want to have the officer stay with me until your father arrives. Right. Didn’t happen to have your Savannah’s cameras on this morning, did you? Of course. Also, you have the robbery on video? Of course we do. What kind of bank would we be if we didn’t have video surveillance? It’d be a Texas Midlands Bank. All right, we got video. Care to give it a watch while I wander over to the burger joint? Would you order me something while you’re there? I’m starving. I doubt they serve pemmican. You know, I’m part Mexican too.

Well. Well, I’m gonna get to that when I’m through the Indian insult, but it’s going to be a while. You Rangers are an odd bunch. No, just him. Let’s take a look at that video. Yeah, it’s right back here. Howdy. All right. Guess you know about the goings on at the bank. I did notice. Any out of towners come true today? Jenny Ann waited on a couple of boys right from here. Oh, I’ll go get her. Appreciate that. Boy, y’all been here for a while? Long enough to bank. Getting robbed’s been robbing me for 30 years.

Oh, you say you’ve seen them? I’m pretty sure they sitting right over there having lunch. One of them is tall, the other one is short. It’s both lean like cowboys. Look like brothers if you ask me. You the Texas Ranger? Yes, ma’am. Tell me about those handsome young strangers that you waited on. Who said handsome? I did. Based on the fact that you didn’t meet me in the parking lot hollering about the two out of towners eating here right before a bank robbery. Well, they didn’t mention they was robbing the bank. They pay cash. Is that a crime now? How much did he leave? How much? $200.

And they left it before the bank was robbed. So. Before this bank was robbed. We don’t need to see them bill now. Mm m. Them bills is evidence. It’s evidence if they’re the bank robbers. Till then it’s my tip and have my mortgage. So you go out there and you get a warning. You come after the money that I will be using to keep a roof over my daughter’s head. One man hit the bank like she. Checkered button down shirt, jeans, ski mask. All the video tests, checkered shirt that’s him. They’re sitting right over there. Tipped her $200.

Go wrestle a description from that big sassy girl in the kitchen. You didn’t get it yourself? Oh, and get that tip from her. We’re gonna check them bills. Good luck. Gotta expect some resistance. I want Alberto. Call that motel in 287. Get us a room. We’re gonna stay the night. This is where the action is. Seems foolish. What’s that? Days of robbing banks and trying to live, spend the money. They’re long gone. Long gone for sure. Long ago and far away. What does Justin want to do when he’s grown? Right now he’s dreaming this thing in a football for a m.

Just because you ask me to. He’s a lot like you. Who have met? That your red eye? More. You know, 39 years of life. 10 in jail. You turn left. Where I turn right. It’ll be okay. Just because you ask me to. Let the world call me a fool. Things are right with me again. You. That’s all that matters. And I do. Yeah. You want anything? Dr. Pepper, Winston Lights. It’s okay. What? Trouble. You came to the right place. Boy, you’d think there were 10 of me. Oh, yeah? Not so tough now, are you? He had it coming.

He had it coming. He had it coming. You got some spunk left in you. Ah, you remember the gun. You get to be all mad at this? Could have killed you. Not the way it would have gone. Little brother. Enemy. I told you. Are you trying to make me mad? I said, Dr. Pepper, this is Mr. Piff. That’s all I have. Only street. Mr. Pit. Drink up. N. Now we’re talking. There women in this place? The hell you talking about? We should get another shot. They’ll be pretty soon enough. Bartender, whiskeys, if you please. Coming up to your boys.

Go change that money. Sorry, I just. Just sold my car. This is how the fellow paid me. Well, take it any way you bring it, mister. Wanna play some poker? I don’t gamble. Oh, can’t lose a poker. Not even you. I’m gonna watch the Aggie game and have a beer. You won’t sit yourself. Come on now. Suck a d. Don’t lose it all. Eat my head. I hear lady spitting at the naked jacks. Businessman with a needle and a spoon. Coyote chewing on a cigarette Pack of young boys going hounding at the moon head darling Sleeping on the black top Head darling Running through the trees Honey head darling Leaving for the next time.

Listen my set sketches up with me. Three dead In a crash on the number four. Two witnesses blowing up high. Not sure whose will be done. You can call me a sinner for wondering why. That’s. It’s quite a step. Check. Don’t chase me, chief. Lords of the planes. Lords of nothing. Now, Michael. Show your cards, gentlemen. Do you know what Comanche means? It means enemies forever. Enemies with who? Everyone. You know what that makes me? An enemy? No. It makes me a Comanche. Does he look like you? I see his mama in him. Everybody else sees me.

I don’t know. You staying in the hotel? Yeah. Take me to your room. Thank you. Just. There’s no shame bending the touch of a woman. You need it. I know you do. Just let me touch you. Trying to work my little brother? No, I wasn’t doing anything. But I. But, but, but, but, but. You saw the stack of chips here. Easy mark. No. What are you gonna do? Bring him up to his room, call your pimp, roll him, drug him. What were you gonna do? Modify, sample the goods. Real fucking hands off him. Stop it. Stop it.

You’re crazy. Call me. We got a problem here. It’s all good. It’s all good. It’s all good. Got a little gun, Bar. Sorry about that. How the have you managed to stay out of prison for a year? It’s been difficult. I could pay this out in cash or a check. Get some Debbie money. Foreign cash. Resting. Check. Who would you like to check aid out to? Texas Midlands Bank. Thank you much. Let’s go get a room. Enjoy your stay. Welcome to the Comanche 66. Do you have a reservation? We do not. Good Lord, look at you.

We would be obliged if you’d provide accommodations that we failed to call ahead. Boy, you are trouble. Oh, the worst kind of. Your last days in the nursing home, you’ll think of me and giggle. Why, God? Why won’t you answer my prayers? You begged him for help. And yet you look around at your life and nothing is different. And so you assume that God has told you no. God doesn’t say no. Why couldn’t we drive back to lic? Robin Banks in lic. We’re not going to watch this, are we? Ain’t you Christian? Yeah, but I ain’t stupid.

God doesn’t talk to this man any more than he talks to my dog. Well, then they usually give your dog. Aren’t you Indian? You’re supposed to be burning sage and dancing around the bed, whooping like a beast on you. I’m Catholic. God answers our prayers in three different ways. Yes. Come on. Not Yet. Come on. I’d rather dance around the fire with a spear. I’d rather have you stab me with a spear than watch this. This son of a bitch, he wouldn’t know God if he crawled up his pant leg and bit him on the pecker.

To believe. Change your damn channel. This. This is what God watches right here. Don’t worry, they’re going to have soccer highlights on soon enough. That’s for your Mexican. Look at this boy run. Longhorns are gonna have a good team this year. That’s soccer. Never could understand that. Anything a 5 year old can do ain’t a sport. Who invented it? Aztecs? Kicking around skulls or something? Sounds like a Comanche sport. You know, in three weeks you can watch whatever you want on TV all day. Hell, you can do it right now in your own room. Where’s the fun in that? You know what, Alberto? What? In a year’s time, it’s my teasing that you’re gonna miss.

So what you’ll laugh about when you stand over my grave and wish me well? God, I hope that’s tomorrow. Oh, that was a good one. You’ll get the hang of this yet. It’s been getting late for you. Yeah. Oh, heaven’s above, heaven’s above. Look at those titties. You kidding me? Sa. How you doing? Sitting on the porch practicing my future. It’s a dangerous thing we do for a living. We’re lucky. Haven’t seen it through to the end. I hope I’m that lucky. Oh, well, I’m you by your side. I doubt you’ll get close enough to a criminal to ever be in danger again.

Just when I was starting to feel sorry for you. Indians ain’t supposed to feel sorry for cowboys. It’s the other way around. And this makes you the executor? No matter what they charge us with, they can’t take it away. There’s no way to trace funds from a casino. All right. Once you get the checks to the bank, trust is untouchable. You can’t tell nobody nothing, right? Well, what is there to tell? You boys won that money gambling, didn’t you? 32,000 pays off the reverse mortgage. And those bastards paid the property tax from 2012 to now. That’s another 11,000.

So 43,000 and you are free and clear. Let’s have the loan officer fax me a release of lien and I’ll get that over to the lease manager at Chevron. Fax number’s on the card. How much you making on this deal? Not near as much as I’m risking. Why are you doing it, then? You know they loaned the least they could. Just enough to keep your mama poor on a guaranteed return. Thought they could swipe her land for $25,000. That’s just so arrogant, it makes my teeth hurt. To see you boys pay those bastards back with their own money.

Well, if that ain’t Texan, I don’t know what is. Thank you. Now, they can foreclose on Friday. Come hell or high water, be at the bank and Childress on Thursday. Knowing them for they will close early. We’ll be there. Oh, and, Toby, the trust needs to be managed by a bank. You really want to cover your tracks, you get Texas Midland to handle this trust. So what’s the plan? We’re gonna watch that bank like a deer feeder. In time will be right. Now, let’s see what they got to eat here. Howdy, ma’am. How you doing today? Hot.

And I don’t mean the good kind. So what don’t you want? Pardon? What don’t you want? Oh, well, I think I just. You know, I’ve been working here for 44 years. Ain’t nobody ever ordered nothing but T bone steak and a baked potato. Except this one asshole from New York tried to order trout back in 1987. We don’t sell no goddamn trout. T bone steaks. So either you don’t want the corn on the cob or you don’t want the green beans. So what don’t you want? I don’t want green beans. I don’t want green beans either.

Steaks cooked medium rare. Can I get my steak cooked? Just a. What? No question. All right. Iced tea for you boys. Iced tea be great. Iced tea, yeah. Thank you, ma’am. Huh. Well, tell you one thing. Nobody’s gonna rob this son of a bitch. My word. How’d she feel? She was good. Ain’t gonna win any races. Got New Mexico place. She got a top. Thought she came. We’ll take her. That’ll report. It’s stolen till Friday. The guy from Chevron’s dropping off the lease of your. Okay. Dealing with that by yourself. Okay? Being with Debbie by yourself.

Remember, you ain’t the Antio. Just take the paper, say thank you. Oh, man is the enemy. Make no mistake. He just ain’t ours. We’ll be back to the ranch by dark. I’ll be waiting. God. Like a school teach with all this in the back? Sure feels like beer clock. Ask and you shall receive. Sa. Mama died. When? A few weeks ago. Well, good riddance. No offense. You okay? You. Here’s the money I owe you. Guess you’ll be selling the ranch. Goes to the boys. Really? It’s been put in a trust. What’s that mean? Means no one can sell it.

Great. Something else. I gotta take care of it. Where’s your brother? I don’t know. Friend’s house, I guess. How come you ain’t a school? School don’t start yet. Just two days for football right now. Your grandmother died. I’m giving the ranch to you and your brother. Remember going out there when you was little? What am I supposed to do with a ranch? Anything but sell it. We found oil on it. You and your brother ain’t gonna have to worry about money no more. Now, I’m. You may be hearing a lot of things about me and your uncle.

Don’t be like us, you hear me? Whatever I hear, I won’t believe. No, you believe it. I did all of it. Now you do it different. Ain’t gonna drink it. You tell me not to be like you, and then you offer me a beer. Which is it? Good boy. How are the boys? What are you doing? Insurance. I don’t want that in the car. I’ll be running two cars next time, brother. Now ride with me. So this is your plan? We’re just gonna sit here and see if this is a branch they rob next. What would you rather do? You want to drive 80 miles back to only and look for more fingerprints that we ain’t gonna find? Or you want to drive 200 miles back to Lubbock and look at mug shots that don’t matter because nobody knows what these sons of bitches look like, or we.

You can just wait here for them to rob this bag. This is the one thing I’m pretty damn sure they are going to do. I know what you’re doing. You’re trying to make this last as long as you can because the longer it lasts, the farther you are from that front porch. Gotta wait for these boys to make a mistake. So far they ain’t. But they will. And they’re gonna make it here. So just relax. Enjoy this little town. Do you want to live here? An old hardware store that charges twice what Home Depot does one restaurant with a rattlesnake for a waitress? And how is anybody supposed to make a living here? People have made a living here for 150 years.

Well, people lived in caves for 150,000 years, but they don’t do it no more. Well, maybe your people did. Your people did Too. Long time ago, your ancestors. This is was the Indians. So someone came along and killed them and broke them down. Made you into one of them. 150 years ago, all this was my ancestors land. Everything you could see. Everything you saw yesterday. Till the grandparents of these folks took it. And now it’s been taken from them. Except it ain’t no army doing it. It’s those sons of bitches right there. You think about tomorrow night, Chief Little hotel clerk.

Why is it always the sweet ones that are such devils when you get them revved up? Wouldn’t know. Never had a sweet one. Yeah, you like them pissed off. Looking for someone to blame. Sure seems that way. It’s a good thing you’re done. We’re doing it. Go easier on the bank tellers tomorrow. Be as gentle as a young nurse. Nobody knows what we to have beyond the earth and sky. I’m not afraid to die. The word of my own hand be broken by and by. You coming? Huh? Oh, my voice. Sometimes it finds me fast asleep.

And wa me when I laugh. Good morning. You want some breakfast? Yeah, breakfast sounds good. So we hit the gaten branch first in Coleman, right? Yeah. That should get us what we need. Sa. Sa do this? Ah, it’s not part of the plan. Bastards. Close down the branch. What now, little brother? Coleman. What the hell you doing? Gotta head to post. What are you talking about, we gotta head to post. We go to Coleman. There’s only one teller in Coleman. Whatever we get won’t be enough. We go to Coleman right now. If it ain’t enough, we head to post.

If we don’t leave now for post, we won’t get there till noon. You don’t want to rob bank at lunchtime, do you? Yeah. We don’t know the patterns of folks out there. The patterns are the same everywhere. All these towns are dead. Post ain’t no different. Bigger bank. We’ll leave your car just out of town. Come on now. I think I got this figured. First two banks, they were Texas middling banks. All right, there’s seven branches all together. The main branch is in Fort Worth. We’re not going to mess with that. All right, they hit the branch in Olney.

They hit the one in Archer City. Then there’s the one here, which they did not hit. Alberto, will you please follow me? Don’t. Just keep your mouth shut and just listen to what I’m gonna say. There’s the one here. Then there’s the one in Childress. There’s the one in Jayton. That one’s closed. I know that one’s closed. I know that one’s closed. I better. That’s my point. Taking his clothes. That just leaves post. They’re not gonna mess with the bank and Childers. That’s a fairly decent sized town Ranch and Vernon was the Midlands. And they hit that? Yeah, one of them did.

Alone. Then he ran all the way across the road to get to the car. I think his partner had no idea that was gonna happen. What does that mean to us? It means that the only branch that fits the bill is imposed. Well then let’s go. Town looks busy. A little bit. My word. It’s too big. That’s what she said. It’s no good. This ain’t your first rodeo with your bank. More money. Everybody get on the ground. Get on the ground. Young ladies, get on the ground now. Sir. Down on the ground. No. Thank you very much.

Tell her. Stand up. Open the drawers. Dun dun. Take three steps back. Open the fucking drawer, young lady. Are you deaf and dumb? I said open the box. Draw dude. Down. Now. Step back. Very good. Someone’s paying attention. Now get on your knees. Hey, hey, hey. Let’s go. Come on. Let’s go. Get the car. Don’t let him get away. How you doing back there? Little brother killed him. These concealed carry permits your complicate a bank robbery. No. Hey, I thought it was payday. This is going too far, Tim. No one’s supposed to die. It was m.

Take your pick. Here I go. Margaret Dex is midlands of post has just been hit. Ah. What that tell you? Yeah. Locals are in chase. Suspects escaping west and at old Bronco. All right, Mary, keep us posted. We’re on our way there. Give me an Indian whoop. Come on. Boy’s gonna go down. Let’s get some giddy up music going on. Oh, please, not that. Hey, hey. Come on. Come on. Snap out of it. Snap the out of it. Oh, let me see that. You’re hit. Oh, you’re hit. Get the back. Well, you’ll live. It goes through.

Through. Compress it. Wrap it up. You’re gonna wrap it up tight. Front and back. Front and back. Wrap it tight, brother. Hear me now. Hear me clear. Unless you want to be a black mark on your son’s lives, I need you mountain lion me. You hear me? Mountain lin me? Yeah. It’s gonna be okay. It’s gonna be okay. Hold on. Yeah, it it. Here. Take the money. Let’s go. Get to the casino. Change the money like we planned. This is your plan. And it worked. Every step of the way Trust it. Where are you headed? Don’t be stupid.

Love you, Toby. Mean it. I love you too. Go yourself. Go yourself. As I walked out one shiny morning spider Young cowboy open the lawn his hat bellied back his spurs were a jingling and as he come near me saying this song. Give me that little dog. It’s your approaching the animal. This is what they call white man’s intuition. Sometimes a blind pig finds a truffle. I it my word. All right, we’re going to need our SWAT unit up here and a helo to bend these boys down. 10:33. Suspect is a white male. He’s got a rival.

Get out. He’s on the R. He’s on the R. There’s just one? Yep. Just one. There’s supposed to be two of them. The town folks got one. Well if they did, they got the smart one. This old boy’s out of his mind. Why don’t you slip up this canyon and tom that son of a ranger down. Call it in. Get back. Stop. Back those trucks up. Get back. Get these trucks back. Back em up. Oh well, you know we’ll land around here like the back of my hand. All right. He’s hit up in that brush on that hill.

Can you get me up there behind there. In half hour I’ll have that bastard feel dressed on the hood of my truck. I didn’t let you do that. You just get me there. That’s gonna be a 500 yard shot if he’s where you sit. Just get me there. Ship. How you doing? Good. You? Where you headed? Ria. Dosa. Where you from? Hamlin. Taking a scenic route? I’m taking the only way I can. I got the road closed through post Hell, everywhere you turn they got the road closed. You got your license on you? Yes, I do.

Wave right there. Yes sir. Sure? Yeah. Have a good day. Thanks much. It it. You’re pretty winded, y’all. Let me take the shot. Hell, it’s my gun. Not on your life. He’s mine. Just left of the tree. I got them. Lord of the plains, that’s me. It it chased the robbers to this hillside behind me. 20 miles west town where the gunfight continued. And right now we do know. Ranger Marcus Hamilton killed one of the gunmen using a rifle he actually borrowed from Redmond. Here guy just in the nick of time too. What are the odds? Now this satisfies both the reverse mortgage loan and the and the back taxes that we paid on your mother’s behalf.

We do that as courtesy of course. You can fax a release of lien to that number. An attorney. All right, well, I’ll get that faxed over. Your attorney by the end of the week. It is the end of the week. I want to watch you do it. Well, it takes a little time to prepare and got all day. Okay, that’s it. And it’s been a pleasure doing business with you. Let me ask you a question. Y’all manage trust? Hey, Mark. Ain’t you supposed to be retired? Lover branches up gently. Well, hey, Marcus. Hey, Margaret. It’s been a while.

How’s life of the civilian? Oh, just, you know. Think I could take a peek at Mr. Howard’s file? Turner Howard. Oh, come on. I ain’t got nothing better to do. Is that my desk? Oh. Oh. Killed his father in a hunting accident. Love to know what he was hunting in the Barn in April. 10 years in Huntsville for aggravated assault. Cellmate was released in 2012. Before that, he served seven years on bank robbery charges up in Big Spring. Been trying to track him down, but no luck so far. You all are off the brother. There’s nothing that links him to the robberies.

Now, what about that little waitress in Vernon? Yeah, we showed her a photo. She said she didn’t recognize him. Pretty upset you took her tips as evidence. She sure was sassy. You show that to that old timer? Yep. Said he didn’t look like the fellow from the diner. Didn’t recognize Tanner’s photo either. Yeah. Try to get a court order on his bank accounts and the ranch. DA wouldn’t do it. Toby’s got no record. He’s never been arrested. His only court appearance was at his divorce. He don’t fit the bill. Marcus. People don’t start out robbing banks.

They graduate to it like his asshole brother. Besides, when we was out there, we saw two crews from Chevron cabin wells and putting in pump jacks. Engineers out there said they’re gonna pull 2,000 barrels a month off that place. You just try convincing a judge to issue warrants on somebody set to clear 50,000amonth for robbing 40,000 from the bank that manages the. The family trust. Midland manages the trust. You think they’d want this thing figured out? I don’t think the bank cares about anything but keeping that trust right where it is. Hell, they were less cooperative than Toby’s attorney.

Marcus, he’s not a suspect. And you are retired. I hear you like the desk. I don’t hate it. Hey, I’ll see you. Marcus back to throw? He’s chased out of the pocket goes right. 15 play drive. Capping 62 yards. Ended up with Nick Rose on the receiving end of it. Know who I am? I’m the man who killed your brother. I know. I also know you’re retired. And you’re trespassing. You could shoot me now. And be with you in your rights, you toting a gun and all. How convenient. I figure you got one, too. Mind if I sit? Go ahead.

Oh. You want a beer? Sure. I ain’t on duty no more. Nice. Nice out here in this breeze now that it’s cooled down. How did you do it? Oh, never mind. I’ll figure that out in time. Why? Why did you do it? I know why your brother Tanner did it. He robbed them banks. Cause he liked it. He shot my partner 300 yards away. Cause he liked it. Made him feel if I hadn’t blown his shit for brains out, there’d be a new truck out front with jet skis and whatever else he could think to buy.

He’d spend it all just to give him an excuse to steal some more. But not you. There’s nothing new around here except them pump decks. Each one of them making you a month what you and your brother stole from all four banks combined. Help me understand that. Help me understand why four people died so you could steal money that it don’t seem you’ve spent, that it don’t seem you need. You got a family? My partner had a family. Big one. They don’t got no pump jacks in their backyard. I didn’t kill your friend. Yes, you did.

By setting this thing in motion. You expect me to believe your dimwitted brother planned this? Oh, no. This was smart. This was you. I’ve been poor my whole life. Told my parents, their parents before them. It’s like a disease passing from generation to generation. Comes to sickness, that’s what it is. Affects every person you know. But not my boys. Not anymore. This is theirs now. Now, I never killed no one in my life, but if you want me to start with you, let’s get on with it, old man. See if you can grab that pistol before I blast you off this porch.

It. Howdy. What’s going on? Hogs are back in the garden. Pair of hogs tearing up this place something fierce. Who’s this? I’m an old friend of your husband. Ex husband. I’m just working on the house. Oh, you don’t live here? No, it’s not mine. It’s theirs. The things we do for our kids, huh? Well, I’ll just be Going, ma’am. Me too, Debbie. I’m gonna wash Joe. Be back around nine tomorrow. Finish the front, start painting the extension, then help Randy with his homework when he gets back from school. Okay. Hey, we’re in a little house in town.

If you want to stop by, finish this conversation. You’re welcome anytime. Oh, I’d like that. I’ll be seeing you. Yeah. Soon, I hope. Ready to be done with this? You’ll never be done with it, no matter what. It’s gonna haunt you, son, for the rest of your days. But you won’t be alone. It’s gonna haunt me too. If you stop by, maybe I’ll give you peace. Oh, maybe. Maybe I’ll give it it my teeth on Daddy’s old lgo and I lost my mind somewhere in New Mexico and tw put a snake on my back I keep a ribbon on my side and there’s people all across the land from eastern Turkey down to Palestine hold on.

Like I am all the time in an outlaw state of mind. That’s a pretty good movie. That was a very pretty. Pretty doggone movie, I have to say. It’s. I was like. I said I was suggested. Actually, The. The individual who suggested that I play that was Ghost. He sent me messages like, dude, you gotta. You gotta play this. This is fantastic. And he was not wrong. He was not wrong. That was. That was good. And I’m. I’m glad he said it in a. He did it because I needed it in a pinch tonight. It was just been a rough week.

I’ll leave it at that. So. But. But yeah, very, very good movie. And there was a couple of. A couple of comments on the chat is definitely not no country for Old Men. I. I’m not quite sure that I would ever play that. Not in here. I don’t know. Patriots first. Are you asking if there were no cell phones back then? I don’t. I mean, looking at the vehicles that they were driving, they were driving cars when cell phones existed. So I. I mean, if you looked at the. At. At. At the car that belonged to Jeff Bridges at the very tail end, that was a.

That was a late model, like 2015, 2016. Like either a Mercury or, you know, like a. Basically a police interceptor. Certainly that body style and cell phones existed then. So somebody said something in here. I think it. What’s the difference between robbing a. What? Robbing somebody with a gun and robbing somebody with paper. And the response was one is really quick and one takes a long time. That was a very, very good Answer. Was it a Crown Vic plant? I, I couldn’t tell if it was a Crown Vic or if it was like the, the, the Mercury edition of the Crown Vic, but definitely that.

That type of body style, so. Oh, yeah, that’s right, Derek, the girl had her phone. That’s right, that’s right. That’s right. Good catch. I missed that one. But anyway, guys, that’s, you know, I thought of. I didn’t really understand why he asked me to play that or suggested that I play it. And then when I saw it, I was like, wow, that’s actually really. That was very, very, very good. Oh, yes, they were solid cars. That’s why the police used them for 20 freaking years. Plus, I remember when the first edition of those, the. Of that Crown Vic came out back in the late 90s and it was.

Or mid, mid to late 90s and it. The, the. The lights were more narrow. And then the later models, they, they raised. They had a much bigger grill and bigger lights. But I mean, those cars were just. Police loved them because they were big and they could hold a lot of stuff and they could just go. And they were fast. My. One of my, My buddies is a highway patrol and he used to drive those things and he just said, man, he’s like that. When, when they, when they went away from the Crown Vic and went to that Ford Explorer thing that they’re using now, it’s like.

It’s like those things are just dogs. They don’t have any, they don’t have any guts at all. And out here in California, the CHP was so like, disgruntled with the, with the Ford Explorers that they migrated over to the Dodge Charger and, And they all love those cars, so. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. It was a comfortable F150. That’s a very, very good way to put it. And my understanding is they’re actually. Ford’s. Ford is coming out. They’re working on another variant of the Crown Vic as a, as another police interceptor type car because they realize that the.

Sorry. They realized that the, what they have now with that Explorer is just not cutting it for the, for, for law enforcement. So I mean, it’s okay for like inside of a town, but if you’re out on the road, you’re way out on the streets, you need. Or out of like in, in the, on the highways or whatever. You need something that can go. So. But anyway, I’m. I’m gonna digress out of that. This is actually a really good movie. Very apropos with what’s happening in our current world. How that. I loved how the Indian guy was saying, you know, talked about how the banks are the ones that are taking everybody’s land now.

But that was very poignant. And if you had to narrow the movie down to one scene, I would. That’s the scene that I would have. When he was sitting there, he told his whole story. And that was actually in the trailer, so. But yeah. Anyway, guys, that said it’s a, it’s coming up on 7:00 here on the east, on the West Coast. I, and for FYI, everybody, I am not new or any fires. I’m in a. More of a suburban area anyhow. And if there were any fires, I would very likely not be impacted. Oh, I would not be impacted at all.

So. But I appreciate everybody’s concern, so thank you for that. I had my, I think I, I told, I said at the very beginning I had, I had to have two root canals yesterday and I didn’t sleep very well last night. I think I woke up at like 2:30 or 3:00 this morning and I just couldn’t go back to bed. So I just said, hell with it. And I got up. So I’m, I’m kind of a little. Yeah, get a blue roof. I know. I’m not convinced that they’re due out here. But your point is well taken.

They actually caught several people starting fires. So, you know, I, I will touch on that for a second just because the fires are out here. There’s a, there was a really good video that I saw today somebody sent me. It was about Adam Carolla and, you know, talking about how all these, all these leftists who, all these Democrats who’ve been voting all these Democrat policies, you know, now that their houses have burned down, they are going to have to file for permits to rebuild everything. And it’s gonna, it’s gonna take years to, to get stuff done.

And that’s going to be, you know, talk about poetic justice. That’s going to be very poetic justice. Yeah. So I don’t know if you meaning no arson for sure or if it was or if you’re meaning no comma, arson for sure. I’m not sure what you mean there. Sj, Listen, there could be some dew out here. I don’t know. But the, it’s just, it’s very interesting to see about the fires. I, I don’t, something’s going on with these. I, there’s, there’s a, there’s an agenda behind it. And I don’t Know what it is? I just find it very peculiar that the, well, fires were started right at the same time that we had the winds.

And for those of you who don’t know about winds in Southern California, in the fall and winter, we get something that’s referred to as the Santa Ana conditions. And when you have a low pressure system in the south and a high pressure system to the north. So I’m gonna, I’m gonna geek out a little bit on weather because I was a weather guy in the Navy. Well, when you have a high, air goes clockwise around a high pressure and counterclockwise around low pressure. And when you have high here and a low here, the higher the high and the lower the low, you will get gradient lines.

And the tighter those lines get, the faster the winds. And I just find it very interesting that they, all of a sudden we’re getting that type of weather right now, and then fires get lit. Do I think they were due. It’s possible that they could be. And do I believe there are some. Yes, I do. But I’m, I’m. If just the conspiratorial part of me believes that it is a coordinated effort to where you actually, to the fires being lit are being lit by people, but very specifically for the purpose of causing mass destruction. And I don’t, I think it’s, you know, maybe it’s the, you know, the early stages of just some chaos.

So, yeah, they did. We. We’ve had fires out here in the Santa Ana’s. Southern California has always had wildfires ever since I was a kid, and I grew up here in the 70s, 80s, 90s. And I mean, we’ve always had fires, maybe not to the degree that we have them now, but they also took care of the forests a lot better back then. You know, when Trump, they, I think they, they, they got really. They mocked Trump for talking about, you know, raking the, the forest. Well, you know, they would have. I remember when I was a kid, they used to have controlled burns all the time.

And, you know, doing a controlled burn actually takes away the. Takes away the fuel. We. They don’t do controlled burns anymore. So the. I think a lot of it, A lot of the fires now are as a result of the poor management of the forest, much more so than it is just people just getting their rocks off and going unlighting fires. Although when the winds do come around, we do get a lot more fires because fire spread. And when you have the high winds, you can’t use the air units to, to drop fire retardant. So anyway.

All right, guys, that’s going to be it for tonight. I am going to. I’m. I’m actually working on my studio. The, the screen that you see behind me is a green screen and I am, I’m actually one of the things why I haven’t really been doing as much lately. It will just because besides, my tooth is. I’m actually working on my studio completely revamping it and so most of the pieces are here and I just got to get it done. So it’s just, it’s difficult when it’s one person doing it. But that is, that is coming and I’ll always maintain my green screen if I want to.

But. Yeah. So anyway, I’m gonna go get some rest. So you guys enjoy your evening and if I don’t see before then I will. I’ll see you on Monday. So have a great night, everybody.
